Overview

The Hikvision DS-D6043UH-DP is a 43-inch 4K wall-mounted digital signage display with 700 cd/m² brightness, a 4000:1 contrast ratio and a built-in Android 13 player. It runs scheduled playlists of video, images, PDFs and web pages without a separate media PC. Its 0 to 40°C operating range suits indoor, air-conditioned lobbies, corridors and retail entrances across Qatar. Request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar.

A 43-inch 4K display with its own player built in

The Hikvision DS-D6043UH-DP is a wall-mounted digital signage display that combines a 43-inch 4K panel with an Android 13 system. Content is stored, scheduled and played from the screen itself, so a separate media player is not required for everyday playlists. The slim, all-in-one body keeps reception areas and corridors looking tidy.

Picture and brightness figures that matter indoors

The panel is rated at 700 cd/m² with a 4000:1 contrast ratio and a 3840 × 2160 resolution. Its active area measures 941.184 mm by 529.416 mm, with a 0.2451 mm pixel pitch, so small text on a menu board or directory stays sharp at normal reading distances. Viewing angles are 178° horizontally and vertically, and the 8 ms response time and 60 Hz refresh rate suit video playback. The 10-bit colour depth is achieved with 8-bit plus FRC, and the colour gamut is listed as 85% NTSC. This model is non-touch, so it is built for viewing scheduled content rather than for touch-based wayfinding.

Content, scheduling and remote control

Images, video, audio, scrolling subtitles, PDFs, web pages and live video
Day, week, loop and custom play modes, with free scheduling of multiple materials
Timed start, shutdown, brightness and volume changes, plus screenshot preview
Remote release of programmes and updates, and local USB playback

Administrators can set up five levels of organisation, create custom users and assign permissions by user level. A three-level check of materials, programmes and schedules helps prevent wrong content from going live, and stored and transmitted data are encrypted. The unit ships without a default password, so each user sets an initial password during activation.

Where it fits in Qatar

Three typical settings show how the display is used:

Hospital waiting areas in Doha can show wayfinding, health awareness videos and number-calling screens, with schedules changing content between clinic and visiting hours.
University and school corridors in Education City or Al Sadd can display timetables, event notices and campus news, with content updated from a central location.
Hotel and mall entrances in The Pearl or Lusail can run promotional loops in portrait orientation for directory boards and lift lobbies.

What to plan before installation

The display weighs 9.1 kg net and 12.5 kg gross, and measures 967.4 mm by 555.9 mm. Its depth is 40 mm without the wall-mounted backboard and 70 mm with it. It can be mounted horizontally or vertically, and the box includes the backboard and mounting bolts.

Power input is 100 to 240 VAC at 50/60 Hz. Typical consumption is 65 W and the maximum is 130 W, with standby at 0.5 W or less. The packing list includes a European power cord, so confirm the plug arrangement for BS 1363 (Type G) sockets before installation. The operating range is 0 to 40°C with 10 to 80% RH humidity, so choose an air-conditioned indoor wall, away from direct sunlight and outdoor façades, where summer temperatures can exceed 45°C.

SmartRooms Qatar provides a free site survey to check wall construction and fixings before mounting, and professional installation can be arranged. Quotations are usually issued within one working day, and we accept purchase orders (LPOs), government tenders including Monaqasat, and payment by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. The product is covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

Questions about DS-D6043UH-DP

What is the Hikvision DS-D6043UH-DP used for?

It is a 43-inch wall-mounted digital signage display for showing scheduled content without a separate computer. Typical uses are menu boards, wayfinding, announcements and promotional video in reception areas, corridors, waiting rooms and retail entrances. Its Android 13 system plays images, video, audio, PDFs and web pages, so it suits clinics, schools, ministries and retail stores in Doha that need a simple self-contained screen.

Does the display need a separate media player?

No. It has a quad-core Cortex-A55 processor running at 1.92 GHz, 4 GB of memory and 32 GB of built-in eMMC storage. Content can be loaded from a USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port, delivered over the RJ45 network port or Wi-Fi, or shown from an HDMI or DP source when you need live input. Scheduled playlists run from the screen itself, which keeps cabling and equipment in a reception area to a minimum.

Is 700 cd/m² bright enough for a lobby with windows?

700 cd/m² is a practical level for indoor lobbies and corridors under ambient lighting, and the 4000:1 contrast ratio helps keep dark and light areas distinct. Direct sunlight falling on the screen will still reduce visibility, so mount it away from the glass frontage and avoid spots where midday sun hits the panel. Ask our team for a site check before choosing the wall.

Can it be installed outdoors or in a hot store room?

No. The working temperature range is 0 to 40°C (32 to 104°F) with 10 to 80% RH humidity, and storage is rated from -20 to 60°C. Qatar's summer exteriors often exceed 45°C, so do not mount it on an outdoor wall, in a car park or in an unconditioned store room. Keep the display in an air-conditioned indoor space and confirm the environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before quoting.

Is it suitable for a hospital waiting area in Doha?

Yes, for waiting areas that need wayfinding, health information and number-calling screens. The display supports number calling as a content type, and the schedule can switch between clinic hours and visiting hours without staff touching the screen. Its two 6Ω 10 W speakers and LINE OUT port cover audio, and volume can be scheduled by time of day to keep the area calm.

Does it support touch input?

No. The display is listed as non-touch, so it is designed for viewing scheduled content rather than touch-based wayfinding or ticketing. If your project needs a touch screen for visitors to browse a directory, tell us when requesting a quote so we can discuss suitable options.

How is it mounted, and how much does it weigh?

It mounts on a wall horizontally or vertically using the backboard and mounting bolts in the box. The display weighs 9.1 kg net and 12.5 kg gross, and its overall depth is 40 mm without the backboard and 70 mm with it. Confirm the wall construction and fixings before drilling; a free SmartRooms Qatar site survey can check this for a single screen or a row of units in a corridor.

Can I mount it in portrait for a mall or office tower directory?

Yes. The mounting type allows vertical as well as horizontal wall mounting, which suits directory boards and wayfinding beside lifts and escalators in shopping centres and office towers in West Bay or Lusail. Plan the content layout for portrait before ordering, and note that the 941.184 mm by 529.416 mm active area is the landscape measurement.

What connectivity does it offer?

It has three HDMI inputs and one DP input for video and audio, plus an RJ45 network port and dual-band Wi-Fi supporting 2.4G and 5G with 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax. Other ports include RS232 in and out, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, Bluetooth 5.0 and a LINE OUT. The RS232 ports allow serial control, and the network port supports centralised management of the screen.

How do we manage several screens from one place?

Centralised management lets you control one or more screens remotely. You can schedule timed startup and shutdown, adjust brightness and volume by time, preview screenshots, and release programmes and updates remotely. A five-level organisation structure assigns permissions by user level, and permission templates help a ministry or school group set access quickly across departments and sites.

What power supply does it need in Qatar?

It accepts 100 to 240 VAC at 50/60 Hz, which covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz mains. Typical consumption is 65 W with a maximum of 130 W, and standby is 0.5 W or less. The packing list includes a European power cord, so the plug arrangement for BS 1363 (Type G) sockets should be confirmed with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installation.

Can a school or government office buy it through an LPO or tender?

Yes. SmartRooms Qatar supplies this display by quotation and accepts purchase orders (LPOs), government tenders including Monaqasat, and payment by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. For a school or ministry buying several units, send the quantity, mounting locations and power details; quotations are usually issued within one working day. The product is covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
