DW Series

What the Acer DW Series delivers on a video wall

The Acer DW Series is an LCD video wall display designed for digital signage installations where the gaps between panels should almost disappear. Units are available in panel sizes up to 55 inches, which gives planners room to choose between compact lobby walls and larger feature displays. Each panel runs at Full HD, 1920 x 1080 pixels, so text, prices in signage and wayfinding graphics stay sharp at normal reading distances.

Units can be chained together, with up to nine displays linked into one video wall. The result is a single, continuous image rather than a set of separate screens. For a buyer, this means the wall is planned around the content grid first, and the viewing distance and sightlines matter as much as the individual panel specification.

Brightness, lifespan and cooling for continuous running

The 700 nits rating is the figure to check when a wall sits near glazing or in a bright atrium. At that level the content should remain legible under strong ambient light, and it should still look right in a dimmer corridor or a late-evening hotel lobby. Brightness should be matched to the room itself, not judged from the spec sheet alone.

The series is rated for up to 50,000 hours of lifespan and includes an automatic cooling system intended for 24/7 operation. That suits signage that runs through opening hours, transit timetables and campaigns that never switch off. Before fixing units into a cabinet or a recessed wall, ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm the approved operating environment and the ventilation clearance for your site, especially where the wall faces the sun or sits in a hot, dusty space.

Where this video wall fits in Qatar

• Shopping malls in Msheireb or Lusail: a feature wall at an entrance or atrium showing promotions, directory information and wayfinding.
• Hotel and serviced apartment lobbies in West Bay: a welcome wall showing arrival information, event listings and sponsor messages.
• Bank branches and government service centres: queue messages, service announcements and rotating public information in Arabic and English.

Corporate headquarters in West Bay or the Industrial Area can use the same format for internal communications, safety notices and live updates in a reception or operations room.

What to plan before ordering

Plan the wall as a grid before choosing any hardware. Decide the number of columns and rows, the total display area and the typical viewing distance. The chosen size should match how far people stand from the wall, and the wall structure must carry the panels, mounts and cabling.

• Count the panels and fix the grid layout before choosing mounts.
• Check viewing distance against the chosen panel size, up to 55 inches.
• Confirm ventilation and operating environment for continuous 24/7 running.
• Book a free site survey to check wall loading, power points and cable routes.
