Name: Hisense 49WF25E 49-inch Window-Facing High Brightness Display
Brand: Hisense
SKU: hisense-49wf25e
Availability: Discontinued

Overview

The Hisense 49WF25E is a 49-inch Full HD commercial display built for indoor spaces where the screen faces a window. Its 2500-nit rating keeps content readable in bright daylight, and it runs around the clock on built-in Android 9.0 with 16GB of storage. Hisense has discontinued this model, so buyers in Doha, West Bay and Lusail should request a quote for a current equivalent or compatible replacement.

What the Hisense 49WF25E is built for

The Hisense 49WF25E is a 49-inch commercial display with a 1920x1080 Full HD panel, made for indoor locations where the screen sits close to glass and must remain legible against strong daylight. Its 2500-nit brightness rating is the figure that sets it apart from standard indoor displays, which are designed for rooms with controlled lighting. The unit has an aluminum shell, a black finish and a 10 mm bezel on all four sides.

Specifications that matter for a window-facing installation

Brightness: 2500 nits, with automatic adjustment driven by a light sensor.
Panel: 16:9 aspect ratio, 1,300:1 contrast ratio, 8ms response time and 178 degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles.
Heat management: fanless design with smart temperature control and overheating protection.
Run time: rated for 24/7 operation, with a backlight life of 50,000 hours.

Brightness is only part of the picture, because heat and direct sunlight decide where the screen can go. The rated ambient operating range is -10°C to 35°C in direct sunlight and -10°C to 45°C without direct sunlight, with humidity from 10% to 80%. In practice, the display should be kept out of direct sun and sit in an air-conditioned room that stays within that range.

Where it fits in Qatar

A retail unit on a Doha shopping street, where a screen behind glass shows promotions to pedestrians during daylight hours.
A bank branch in West Bay or Msheireb, where a glazed lobby facing the entrance needs wayfinding and service messages running all day.
A hotel lobby in Lusail, where reception windows let in strong afternoon light and the screen must stay readable.

In each case the screen should be positioned away from direct sun, and the air conditioning should be checked against the rated range. A site survey from SmartRooms Qatar will check glare, viewing distance and fixings before installation.

What to plan before ordering

The display uses a VESA 300 x 250 mm mounting pattern and measures 1096.18 x 626.4 x 56.75 mm, so wall structure and clearance should be confirmed in advance. The box includes two M6 lifting rings, filler pads and spring pads. Connectivity covers two HDMI inputs, one HDMI output, two Ethernet RJ45 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, an RS232 port, an IR input, a sensor input and Wi-Fi or LAN, with 3G/4G available as an option.

The power input is listed as AC 110/220 V, 50/60 Hz with built-in power. Qatar's mains supply is 240 V, 50 Hz, so the SmartRooms Qatar team should confirm supply suitability before any order is placed.

A discontinued model: request a quote for a current equivalent

Hisense lists the 49WF25E as discontinued. If your organisation already owns one, or you are comparing it with newer window-facing displays, the SmartRooms Qatar team can check current options that suit your brightness, mounting and connectivity needs. Products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, and we supply, deliver to all eight municipalities of Qatar and install. Purchase orders and government tenders are accepted. Questions about 49WF25E

Is the Hisense 49WF25E still available from SmartRooms Qatar?

Hisense has discontinued the 49WF25E and lists it under its end-of-life products, so availability can change. Request a quote and the SmartRooms Qatar team will check what can be supplied, then recommend a current equivalent or compatible replacement for your window-facing location. Quotations are usually issued within one working day.

Will 2500 nits hold up for a shopfront in West Bay facing afternoon sun?

The 2500-nit rating is designed to keep content visible in bright ambient light, which is why it suits glazed shopfronts. Brightness does not solve direct sun hitting the panel, though. Heat from sunlight is the bigger risk, so the screen should be placed out of direct beams and the room kept within the rated range. A site survey will check the glass angle, street distance and screen position.

Can the 49WF25E be installed outdoors or in direct sunlight?

No. The data lists its working environment as indoor window facing, so it is not rated for outdoor installation. Its operating range is -10°C to 35°C in direct sunlight and -10°C to 45°C without direct sunlight, with humidity from 10% to 80%. For a fully exposed site, ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to recommend a product rated for that environment.

How does a Doha summer affect a 49WF25E behind a lobby window?

Outdoor temperatures in Doha regularly exceed 45°C in summer, so the room's air conditioning and the screen's position both matter. Without direct sunlight, the rated ambient maximum is 45°C, and in direct sunlight it drops to 35°C. Keep the screen out of sun beams, confirm that the air conditioning covers the area, and check the layout with the SmartRooms Qatar team during the survey.

Is the 49WF25E suitable for a bank branch in Msheireb that runs around the clock?

The data lists the display for 24/7 operation with a backlight life of 50,000 hours. That suits a branch lobby showing service messages, queue information or wayfinding. Any integration with a banking system is outside the supplied data, so confirm it with the team. Actual lifespan depends on usage and conditions, so ask about the expected daily run hours.

Can a hotel in Lusail show portrait wayfinding at its entrance?

Yes. The screen can be used in portrait or landscape orientation, so it can show vertical directions or a lobby guide. Before deciding, check the mounting: the VESA pattern is 300 x 250 mm and the panel measures 1096.18 x 626.4 x 56.75 mm. Confirm the wall can carry the unit and that the entrance has space for a portrait layout.

How is content loaded onto the display?

The display runs Android 9.0 with 2GB DDR memory and 16GB eMMC storage. The data says media can be held in internal memory for playback without external hardware, and you can use a content management system of your choice. It has two HDMI inputs, two USB 2.0 ports, two Ethernet ports and Wi-Fi or LAN. Optional 3G/4G and CetusMSC cloud monitoring are listed separately.

Does a lobby in Al Sadd need external speakers?

The display has a built-in speaker and supports line-out and Bluetooth speaker connection, so it can feed a larger sound system. It also has an audio output. Built-in speakers suit short announcements, but a busy lobby may need a separate system. Check noise levels and the audio route during the site survey before finalising the speaker plan.

Which ports are available for media players and control systems?

Inputs include two HDMI, two USB 2.0, two Ethernet RJ45, one RS232 RJ45, one IR input and one sensor input. Outputs are one HDMI out and one audio out. The RS232 and IR ports give you options for external control, but the exact cabling depends on your control system. Confirm the setup with our team before ordering.

What comes in the box?

The box includes a power cord, an IR receiver, a remote control, two AAA batteries, a Wi-Fi antenna, two M6 lifting rings, two M6 filler pads, two M6 spring pads and an electronic user manual. Wall bracket hardware is not listed in the data, so confirm your bracket and fixings before installation.

What should a facilities team in Lusail check before wall-mounting one?

Check the VESA 300 x 250 mm pattern, the overall size of 1096.18 x 626.4 x 56.75 mm and whether the wall can carry the weight. Use the two M6 lifting rings for handling, and plan clearance for the 1224 x 759 x 180 mm packing size during delivery. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys, a sensible step before fixing into a glazed or block wall.

Is the power supply compatible with Qatar's electricity?

The data lists AC 110/220 V at 50/60 Hz with built-in power, and a power cord is included. Qatar's mains supply is 240 V at 50 Hz, so the listed specification does not confirm compatibility with local supply. Before ordering, ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm the right supply arrangement for your site and any LPO or tender requirements.
