Name: Hisense 49WF45H 49-inch Window Facing High Brightness Display
Brand: Hisense
SKU: hisense-49wf45h
Availability: Discontinued

Overview

The Hisense 49WF45H is a 49-inch digital signage display rated at 4500 nits, built for screens placed behind glass where daylight would wash out an ordinary panel. It runs Full HD at 1920x1080 in landscape or portrait, and its 16GB internal storage runs Android 9.0. Hisense has discontinued this model, so SmartRooms Qatar can quote a current equivalent for retail frontages and corporate lobbies across Qatar.

A 4500-nit display for screens behind glass

The Hisense 49WF45H is a 49-inch digital signage display built for shopfronts, showroom windows and glazed lobbies, where daylight competes with the content on screen. Its 4500 nit brightness is the figure that sets it apart, and it is the reason this model is specified for window-facing positions rather than ordinary indoor walls. Hisense lists its working environment as indoor window facing.

Hisense has discontinued this model. Businesses that already run one, or that are comparing it with newer displays, can request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement.

Picture and viewing facts that matter

The screen has an active area of 1073.8 x 604.0 mm and a Full HD resolution of 1920x1080 in a 16:9 aspect ratio. The source data lists a contrast ratio of 1300:1, a dynamic contrast figure of up to 450000:1 and a response time of 8ms. The viewing angle is 178 degrees both horizontally and vertically, so a visitor walking past a storefront from the side can still read the content. The panel can be mounted in landscape or portrait, and the backlight is rated for 50,000 hours.

Connections, playback and thermal control

The unit runs Android 9.0 on a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor at 1.5GHz, with 2GB DDR memory and 16GB eMMC storage. Media can be loaded into internal memory for instant broadcast, and the display can run offline or with a cloud-based content system of the buyer's choice. Its inputs include two HDMI IN, two USB 2.0, two Ethernet RJ45, one RS232 RJ45, one IR input and one sensor input. Outputs are one HDMI Out and one audio out. Wi-Fi or wired LAN is included, while 3G/4G is optional. Thermal management covers smart backlight control, smart temperature control, smart fan control and overheating protection.

Where it fits in Qatar

A retail store on a busy street in West Bay or Msheireb could place the 49WF45H in its front window, where the 4500 nit output keeps promotions legible during daylight hours. A bank branch in Al Sadd could use a unit in a glazed lobby to show service information to customers queuing near the entrance. A hotel in Lusail could use a portrait-mounted screen beside a glass entrance to display event listings and wayfinding for guests arriving from several directions.

What to plan before ordering

Position and heat: the source lists an operating range of -10°C to 35°C in direct sunlight and -10°C to 45°C without direct sunlight. Qatar summers can exceed 45°C, so shading, airflow and window orientation should be checked during a free site survey.
Power: the source data lists AC 110/220V at 50/60Hz. Because Qatar mains is 240V, confirm the power arrangement with the SmartRooms Qatar team before the quotation is approved.
Mounting: the VESA pattern is 300 x 250 mm and the overall dimensions are 1096.18 x 626.4 x 56.75 mm. Two M6 lifting rings and matching pads are included, which helps with handling during installation.
Quantities: schools, banks and hotels ordering several units can raise a purchase order (LPO), and quotations are usually issued within one working day.

To check whether this display suits your window, request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar and tell us the glass position, the viewing distance and the number of screens needed. We will reply with a quotation for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement.

Questions about 49WF45H

Is the Hisense 49WF45H still available from Hisense?

No. Hisense lists the 49WF45H under discontinued products, so SmartRooms Qatar treats it as a non-current model. If you need a display for screens behind glass, request a quote for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement. The team will check specifications and fit against your site requirements before issuing a quotation, usually within one working day.

What does 4500 nits mean for a shopfront in Doha?

4500 nits is the brightness figure the manufacturer lists for this model. On a shopfront in West Bay or Msheireb, that output is intended to keep content readable in daylight, where a standard indoor display would look washed out. The unit is meant to sit behind glass, not outdoors, because its listed working environment is indoor window facing.

Can it be mounted outdoors or in direct sunlight?

No. The source data lists the working environment as indoor window facing. The operating temperature is -10°C to 35°C in direct sunlight and -10°C to 45°C without direct sunlight, and the front panel is rated IP5X for dust. Summer temperatures in Qatar can exceed 45°C, so SmartRooms Qatar will check shading and ventilation during a free site survey.

Does the screen support both landscape and portrait orientation?

Yes, the panel can be used in landscape or portrait orientation. Portrait suits menus in a café window or wayfinding at a mall entrance, while landscape suits rotating promotions in a showroom. The resolution is 1920x1080 at a 16:9 aspect ratio, so content should be prepared for that ratio in both orientations.

How wide is the viewing angle?

The source data lists 178 degrees horizontally and vertically. A pedestrian passing a hotel entrance in Lusail from the side can still read the content, and guests arriving from several directions can follow the same message without standing directly in front of the screen. This matters for entrances where people approach from both sides of a glass frontage.

What connections does the display have for a media player or PC?

Inputs include two HDMI IN, two USB 2.0, two Ethernet RJ45, one RS232 RJ45, one IR input and one sensor input. Outputs are one HDMI Out and one audio out. The RS232 port and IR input suit control from an external system, while the two Ethernet ports suit wired network connections. Wi-Fi or LAN is included, and 3G/4G is optional.

Does it need a separate media player to show content?

The unit runs Android 9.0 with 2GB DDR memory and 16GB eMMC storage. The manufacturer states that media can be uploaded into internal memory for instant broadcast without external hardware or software. It can run offline or with a cloud-based content management system chosen by the buyer, which suits a retail team that already uses its own platform.

Is remote monitoring available?

Cloud monitoring through CetusMSC is listed as an optional add-on. Thermal management covers smart backlight control, smart temperature control, smart fan control and overheating protection. If a facilities team needs to check several sites from one office, ask SmartRooms Qatar to include the monitoring option in your quotation.

What power supply does it need in Qatar?

The source data lists an AC input of 110/220V at 50/60Hz, with built-in power. Qatar mains is 240V, so the power arrangement should be confirmed with the SmartRooms Qatar team before you accept the quotation. Do not assume the unit suits a local socket without checking the specification against your site.

What are the dimensions and mounting requirements?

The display measures 1096.18 x 626.4 x 56.75 mm with a 10 mm bezel on every side, and its VESA pattern is 300 x 250 mm. The packed dimensions are 1224 x 759 x 180 mm. Before wall or glass-frame installation, the bracket should match the VESA pattern and the structure should be checked during a free site survey.

What comes in the box?

The box includes a power cord, IR receiver, remote control, two AAA batteries, a Wi-Fi antenna, two M6 lifting rings, two M6 filler pads, two M6 spring pads and an electronic user manual. Plan the wall or frame fixings with the lifting rings and pads in mind, so installers have the hardware they need on the day.

Can I replace this model with a newer display?

Yes. Request a quote for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement that matches your size, VESA pattern and connection needs. Tell SmartRooms Qatar the window position, the number of screens and how content will be played, so the team can recommend a suitable option before the quotation is issued.
