What the Samsung QH43B is built to do

The QH43B is a 43-inch member of Samsung's QHB signage range, a 4K UHD display for indoor locations where people pass by, wait or gather. The 3,840 x 2,160 VA panel delivers 700 nit typical brightness and a 4,000:1 contrast ratio, with 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles so a group standing to the side of a corridor still sees the same picture.

Samsung's Quantum Processor 4K handles picture processing. When a lower-resolution clip or feed is played, the processor upscales it toward UHD quality, which matters when older marketing files or camera feeds appear on a new screen.

Specifications that matter on a Qatar project

• Panel and brightness: 700 nit typical on a non-glare VA panel, 8 ms response time and 92% DCI-P3 colour gamut.

• Wireless: built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
• Power: AC 100-240 V at 50/60 Hz, 138 W in on mode and 0.5 W in sleep mode.
• Size and weight: 967.5 x 557.7 x 48.3 mm and 10.7 kg, with 9.2 mm side bezels and an 11.2 mm bottom bezel.
• Mounting: 200 x 200 mm VESA pattern, with the WMN4070SG wall mount and STN-L4355G stand available as options.

Where it fits in Qatar

A 43-inch panel suits smaller rooms and wall spaces: a meeting room for four to eight people in an office in West Bay or Msheireb, a reception wall in a clinic in Al Sadd, or a wayfinding screen in a corridor of a private school in Al Wakrah. Smartview+ lets participants share a screen wirelessly from Windows, Android and iOS devices, which helps mixed Arabic and English teams share slides without cables.

In a bank branch on The Pearl or a shop in Lusail, the display can loop promotions or queue information. Custom Home allows IT administrators to lock specific room settings, so users cannot change them between meetings.

Planning the installation

At 10.7 kg the unit is light enough for a wall bracket, but the bracket must match the 200 x 200 mm VESA pattern and the wall should be checked before fixing. SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey, which is useful in a corridor where the screen must hang flush against the wall. The terminals face outwards, which keeps the depth of the installation to a minimum.

The rated operating range is 0 to 40 °C, below the outdoor summer temperatures that regularly pass 45 °C in Qatar. Install the QH43B in an air-conditioned indoor space with airflow around the unit, and confirm the position with the SmartRooms Qatar team if it sits near a window or a wall that receives direct sun.
