A compact 4K media player for round-the-clock signage

The TC-24A-i710G is a media player rather than a display. It runs your signage content on a screen and is intended for industrial use and 24/7 operation, such as feeding menus, wayfinding slides or information screens in a lobby, corridor or control room. Its 135 mm by 150 mm by 50 mm chassis, made from aluminum alloy and plastic, is small enough to sit behind a display on a VESA mount, which keeps reception areas tidy.

The specifications that matter for a signage project

Video leaves the player through one HDMI and one DisplayPort connector, and the listed resolution is 3840x2160. Processing comes from a 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor. Memory can be configured from 2GB to 32GB, and storage options include mSATA drives from 64GB to 512GB and SATA drives from 500GB to 2TB. Networking uses two RJ45 ports with 10/100/1000 Mbps auto-adaptive LAN. Eight USB ports (four USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0), one USB-C port and an audio port handle peripherals and local media.

Where it fits in Qatar

Government reception in Msheireb: a single player driving bilingual queue and service information on a wall-mounted screen, with the fan keeping the unit running through long working days.
Hotel lobby in West Bay: a compact player hidden behind a display, with wired LAN for a stable feed of event and dining listings.
University building in Education City: timetable and campus notices running on screens in corridors, with storage sized to hold the content library locally.

What to plan before ordering

The source data for this model does not list an operating temperature range, so confirm the installation environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before placing a player in a plant room, a space near a window or any location exposed to Qatar's summer heat and dust. Power is listed as DC 12V input, with figures of 36W and 60W in the data, so confirm which adapter and rating will be supplied before planning the enclosure and the cabling. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are optional, so specify them at quotation if you need wireless links. The unit lists a Windows 10 Pro trial as standard, with licensed Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 10 Pro, Linux and DOS options, so state the operating system you need. Wall-mounting a heavy display? Questions about TC-24A-i710G

What is the Trend TC-24A-i710G used for?

It is a digital signage media player that drives content on a connected screen, not a display itself. The source data describes industrial use and 24/7 operation, which makes it suitable for menu boards, wayfinding screens and information displays in Qatari offices, retail units and lobbies that must stay live all day.

Is it suitable for a 24/7 screen in a hospital waiting area in Doha?

It is designed for 24/7 operation and includes an active cooling fan, so it fits a waiting area that runs all day. Confirm the exact installation spot with the SmartRooms Qatar team, because the data does not give an operating temperature range, and ask for a quote that matches your content and screen count.

Which video outputs does it provide?

It has one HDMI and one DisplayPort output, and the listed graphics resolution is 3840x2160 (4K UHD). The product name refers to dual UHD graphics. If your layout needs two screens from one player, confirm the dual-output configuration with the SmartRooms Qatar team before ordering.

How much memory and storage can I specify?

Memory is configurable from 2GB up to 32GB. Storage can be mSATA at 64GB, 128GB, 256GB or 512GB, or SATA at 500GB, 1TB or 2TB, where listed as optional. Choose larger storage for a big content library, such as a campus with weeks of video, and state your choice when requesting a quote.

Which operating systems are available?

The unit is listed with a Windows 10 Pro trial. Licensed options include Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 10 Pro, Linux and DOS. A trial is not a licence, so specify a licensed operating system if your IT team needs one for management or compliance.

Can it connect to a network in a government office in Lusail?

Yes, it has two RJ45 LAN ports with 10/100/1000 Mbps auto-adaptive networking, which suits a wired connection to the office network. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are optional, so request them only if you cannot run cable to the screen. Your IT team should confirm the network policy before installation.

Can I mount it behind a display in a hotel lobby in West Bay?

It supports VESA mounting and measures 135 mm by 150 mm by 50 mm, so it can sit behind a display without taking much space. Check the VESA hole pattern on your chosen screen before ordering, and ask SmartRooms Qatar for a free site survey if the lobby wall needs structural checks.

Will it cope with Qatar's summer heat?

It has an active cooling fan, which the manufacturer lists as keeping the unit cool during extended use. However, the source data gives no operating temperature range. Do not place it in a hot plant room or a window-facing spot without first confirming the environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team.

What power supply does it need?

The player takes a DC 12V input, and the source data lists power figures of 36W and 60W. Confirm which adapter is supplied and how it connects to Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz mains before planning your enclosure. The team can confirm these details as part of your quotation.

Can a school in Al Wakrah order several units under one purchase order?

Yes, SmartRooms Qatar accepts purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, and delivers to all eight municipalities. A school fitting out several corridors can request one quotation covering multiple players, with the RAM and storage options set per unit. Quotations are usually returned within one working day.

What peripherals can I connect through its USB ports?

It has four USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0 ports, plus one USB-C port and an audio port. These suit keyboards, storage drives, touch overlays or other devices your content setup needs. Check each peripheral's compatibility with your chosen operating system before ordering.

What warranty applies, and how do I request a quote?

The source data lists a 2-year warranty from the manufacturer. To request a quote, send your screen count, content type, operating hours and preferred storage. Payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order, and SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys for installation planning.
