What this media player does in a signage network

The Trend TC-24FA-Celeron is a compact media player for digital signage, built around a Celeron processor and dual Full HD graphics. It stores and plays your content, so the screen connected to it can remain a simple display. Output resolution is 1920x1080, delivered through one HDMI port and one VGA port.

Because it is designed for continuous operation, it suits signage that must run through opening hours and overnight, such as promotional loops, menu boards, queue information and wayfinding screens.

The aluminium chassis measures 140x135x35mm, with a net weight of 0.55 KG and a gross weight of 1.4 KG. VESA mounting is available, which helps when the player must sit behind a screen in a lobby or on a wall.

The manufacturer data does not give an operating temperature range. Before installing in a hot location, such as an unshaded storefront, an outdoor area or a room exposed to direct afternoon sun in summer, ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm the environment and the airflow around the unit.

Questions about TC-24FA-Celeron

What is the Trend TC-24FA-Celeron used for?

It is a media player that runs digital signage content on one or two Full HD screens, so the display itself stays a simple screen. It suits 24/7 signage in retail, hospitality, education and corporate settings. Common uses in Qatar include menu boards, promotional loops, wayfinding screens and information walls that must keep running without staff restarting a computer.

Does it have a fan, and can it run in hot areas?

No. The TC-24FA-Celeron uses passive cooling without a fan, so it has no moving parts to wear out or draw dust in. The manufacturer data does not give an operating temperature range, so we cannot confirm performance in hot spaces. Before placing it in an unshaded storefront, a gate area or a space near a window in summer, ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm the environment.

Which displays can it drive?

It has one HDMI port and one VGA port, plus the dual Full HD graphics in its specification, with an output resolution of 1920x1080. HDMI is the better choice for modern flat panels, while VGA suits older projectors or screens without HDMI. Check the inputs on your screens before ordering, and ask us to confirm any cables or adapters you will need.

What memory and storage options are available?

Memory can be configured at 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB or 32GB. The player supports mSATA and SATA drives, and the listed options include SSD sizes from 32GB up to 512GB and HDD sizes from 512GB up to 2TB. If your content library includes large video files, choose a larger drive and confirm the capacity with the SmartRooms Qatar team before the quotation is finalised.

Which operating systems can I choose?

The base software is a Windows 10 Pro trial. Options listed by the manufacturer are licensed Windows 7, Windows 10 and Windows 10 Pro, as well as Linux and DOS. Choose the operating system your signage software requires, because long-term deployments need a licence. Our team can confirm the right option for your player software when you request a quote.

Can I manage many players remotely?

The specification lists PXE boot, automatic power-on and Wake on LAN support. These features let IT staff start a player remotely, bring it back after a power cut and deploy a standard image across several units. For a school or a multi-site retailer running many players, they reduce site visits. Confirm the management tools your IT team uses with us before ordering.

What networking and wireless options does it have?

It includes a 10/100/1000Mbps auto-adaptive LAN port and Wi-Fi supporting 802.11n dual band at 2.4/5.0GHz. Bluetooth is an optional add-on. For reliable 24/7 content delivery, a wired RJ45 connection is usually the first choice, with Wi-Fi as a backup where cabling is difficult. Ask us whether Bluetooth is included in your configuration.

Is it suitable for a menu board or promotional screen in a West Bay shop?

Yes, for one or two Full HD screens showing rotating offers. A café, pharmacy or fashion store in West Bay can mount the player behind a screen and run promotional loops during opening hours and beyond. Its aluminium chassis and 24/7 usage rating suit always-on signage. Plan how you will reach the player for content updates, and route cables from the screen to the storeroom or back office.

Can a private school in Al Wakrah use it for corridor information screens?

Yes. A school fitting out corridors, a reception area or a canteen can use one player per group of screens. The Celeron processor and dual Full HD graphics support timetables, notices and event news on a schedule. Because the unit is fanless, it produces no fan noise in quiet corridors. Plan a mounting position near a power outlet and a network point, and ask us for a free site survey before installation.

Would it work for a government reception display or a hotel lobby in Doha?

A ministry reception screen or a hotel lobby display in Msheireb or Lusail needs steady operation and a tidy installation. The player runs around the clock with passive cooling, and its net weight is 0.55 KG, so it can sit behind a display without adding bulk. Confirm the screen's mounting plan and the number of units with the SmartRooms Qatar team, then request a quotation before procurement.

What size is it, can it be wall-mounted, and what power does it use?

The chassis measures 140x135x35mm, with a net weight of 0.55 KG and a gross weight of 1.4 KG for shipping. VESA mounting is available, so it can sit behind a compatible display or on a suitable bracket. The rated power is 15W. The manufacturer data does not list the input voltage, so confirm the power adapter and socket arrangement for Qatar mains with our team before ordering.

How do we order several players for a school or ministry?

Send us the number of units, the memory, storage and operating system you need, and the screens they will connect to. SmartRooms Qatar usually issues a quotation within one working day. We accept purchase orders and LPOs, with payment by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order, and we deliver to all eight municipalities of Qatar. The product carries a 2-year warranty from the manufacturer.
