Overview

The Trend TC-24FAY-Celeron is a fanless media player for digital signage, built in a black aluminium alloy shell measuring 177x127x55mm. It pairs a Celeron processor with dual Full HD graphics over HDMI and VGA, and is designed for 24/7 use. With VESA mounting and a 2-year warranty, it suits lobby, corridor and campus screens across Qatar.

What the TC-24FAY-Celeron does in a signage network

A digital signage media player sits behind the screen, stores the playlist and sends video to the display. The Trend TC-24FAY-Celeron takes on that role with a Celeron processor and dual Full HD graphics support, outputting 1920x1080 video through its HDMI and VGA ports. Because it is a standalone player, the display itself can remain a simple screen while content is managed from the unit.

A fanless, aluminium-cased unit for continuous running

The unit uses passive cooling with no fan, housed in a black aluminium alloy shell that measures 177x127x55mm. It weighs 0.55 kg net and 1.4 kg gross. Fewer moving parts reduce the chance of mechanical faults, and with no fan drawing air through the case, dust is not pulled inside, which is a practical benefit during dusty weather in Doha. The manufacturer lists the intended use as industrial and 24/7 operation. The source data does not give an operating temperature range, so confirm the location with the SmartRooms Qatar team before fitting the unit inside a hot cabinet or outdoor enclosure.

Memory, storage and operating system choices

Memory: RAM support from 2GB up to 32GB, with 2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB options listed.
Storage: mSATA options of 64GB, 128GB, 256GB or 512GB, plus SATA options of 500GB, 1TB or 2TB, as configured.
Operating system: Windows 10 Pro trial as standard, with licensed Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 10 Pro, Linux or DOS available as options.
Signage software: an optional package includes digital signage software with 1GB of cloud server storage.
Bluetooth: optional rather than fitted as standard.

Where it fits in Qatar

A serviced apartment building in Lusail could run wayfinding and building information on lobby and lift-lobby screens, where the compact chassis fits neatly behind a wall-mounted panel. A clinic in Al Sadd might loop health-education messages in its waiting area, while a university building in Education City could run timetables and event notices along shared corridors. In each case the player runs unattended for long hours, so a fanless design and a 2-year warranty matter as much as raw performance.

Planning the installation

VESA mounting is supported, so the player can sit on the back of a compatible screen. Confirm the VESA pattern of your display before ordering.
Two RJ45 ports provide integrated 10/100/1000Mbps auto-adaptive LAN, with four USB 2.0 and four USB 3.0 ports for peripherals.
Power is DC 12V. The source lists 36W (12V 3A) and 60W (12V 5A) ratings, so confirm the adapter and supply arrangement during the survey.
Built-in Wi-Fi is not listed in the source data, so plan for a wired network connection.

SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey before installation, useful for checking cable routes, mounting points and power. Quotations are usually issued within one working day. Several units for a school or government office can be ordered on a single LPO or through a government tender, with delivery to all eight municipalities of Qatar.

Questions about TC-24FAY-Celeron

Is it suitable for a government office reception area in Msheireb?

Yes, for visitor directions or service information on a reception screen. The TC-24FAY-Celeron sits behind the display, outputs 1920x1080 video through HDMI or VGA, and is listed for 24/7 usage with a 2-year warranty. Its fanless aluminium casing keeps the unit quiet in a reception area. Confirm the screen size and mounting point during the free site survey.

Does it have a fan, and why does that matter in Qatar?

No. The unit uses passive cooling with no fan. Without a fan drawing air through the case, dust is not pulled inside, which helps during dusty weather in Doha and at industrial sites. The source data does not give an operating temperature range, so ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm the environment before installing it in a hot cabinet or outdoor enclosure.

Which display outputs does it provide?

The source lists one HDMI port and one VGA port as graphics outputs, with dual Full HD graphics support and a resolution of 1920x1080. Integrated audio is listed, along with audio and fibre audio ports. If your screen only accepts VGA, the VGA output covers it. Check your display's input and resolution against these figures before ordering.

Which operating systems can I choose?

The unit ships with a Windows 10 Pro trial. Licensed Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 10 Pro, Linux or DOS are listed as options. Confirm which operating system your signage software requires before ordering, because a trial installation is not a permanent licence. An optional signage software package with 1GB of cloud server storage is also available.

Can it be mounted behind a screen?

Yes. The source lists VESA support, so the player can be attached to the back of a compatible display using a VESA bracket. The chassis measures 177x127x55mm and weighs 0.55 kg net. Check the VESA hole pattern on your screen against the bracket before ordering, and book a free site survey if the panels form a video wall.

What network connections and boot options does it have?

It has two RJ45 ports with integrated 10/100/1000Mbps auto-adaptive LAN. Built-in Wi-Fi is not listed in the source data, so plan a wired connection. Bluetooth is optional. The source lists call boot and network start support, which helps when the player sits in a locked cabinet. Ask the team to confirm the boot setup against your network before installation.

What power does it need?

The unit takes a DC 12V input. The source lists two ratings, 36W at 3A and 60W at 5A, so the adapter should be confirmed during the quote. The power adapter itself is not described in the source data. Qatar mains supply is 240V 50Hz, so the team will confirm the adapter and power arrangement before delivery.

Would it work for a clinic waiting area in Al Sadd?

Yes, for looping health-education messages or queue information. A clinic waiting area benefits from a player that runs unattended, and the manufacturer lists the unit for 24/7 usage. Its fanless aluminium casing and compact 177x127x55mm size suit a wall-mounted screen. Confirm the wall position and cable route during the free site survey.

Is it a good fit for a hotel lobby in West Bay?

Yes, for lobby information and event screens that must run every day. The unit is designed for 24/7 usage, and Celeron processing with dual Full HD graphics suits static and looping content. Ask about the lobby temperature and any enclosure, since the source gives no operating temperature range. The 2-year warranty applies to the unit as supplied.

How would a school in Al Wakrah order several units?

Several units can be ordered on one LPO, and a school fitting out multiple corridors can request a single quotation covering all of them. Each unit needs its own screen, mount and power, so the free site survey can plan cable routes and mounting points for every corridor. Quotations are usually issued within one working day.

Can it run timetables in a shared university corridor in Education City?

Yes, for timetables, event notices and wayfinding along shared corridors. The unit outputs 1920x1080 through HDMI or VGA, supports up to 32GB of RAM and offers storage options up to 2TB, depending on configuration. Its 24/7 design suits long opening hours. Ask the team to match storage and operating system to your content plan.
