Overview

The TC-24FAY-i56G is a fanless digital signage media player from Trend, with a 6th Generation Intel Core i5 processor in a 177x127x55mm aluminium alloy chassis. It lists 3840x2160 resolution with HDMI and VGA graphic ports, supports up to 32GB RAM and mSATA or SATA storage, and is rated for 24/7 use. It suits lobbies, retail floors and corridors in Doha, and SmartRooms Qatar supplies it by quotation.

What the TC-24FAY-i56G is built to do

The TC-24FAY-i56G is a media player designed to drive a display continuously, feeding menu boards, wayfinding screens, promotional loops and information panels from a compact metal enclosure. Trend classes it for industrial use with 24/7 operation, so it suits sites where signage must stay on through the working day and beyond, not only during opening hours.

The enclosure is a black aluminium alloy shell measuring 177x127x55mm. The source gives a net weight of 0.55kg and a gross weight of 1.4kg, which makes it small enough to sit behind a screen. It supports VESA mounting, so the player can be attached to the back of a compatible display or a mounting bracket.

Hardware facts that matter for continuous signage

Cooling: passive cooling with no fan, so there is no fan noise in a reception area and no fan to service.
Processor and memory: 6th Generation Intel Core i5, with RAM options from 2GB up to 32GB.
Storage: mSATA options of 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB, or SATA options of 500GB, 1TB and 2TB.
Video: one HDMI port and a VGA graphic port, with a listed resolution of 3840x2160.
Connectivity: two RJ45 LAN ports at 10/100/1000Mbps auto adaptive, four USB 2.0 and four USB 3.0 ports, an SD slot, integrated audio, and optional Bluetooth.

The manufacturer lists a 2-year warranty. The default operating system is a Windows 10 Pro trial, and licensed Windows 7, Windows 10 or Windows 10 Pro, as well as Linux or DOS, can be specified instead, so the software can be matched to your content platform when you request a quote.

Where it fits in Qatar

In a West Bay hotel lobby, the player can run a looping welcome and event schedule on a screen behind the reception desk, where the fanless design keeps the area quiet. In Msheireb or The Pearl, a retail unit can use it for a menu board or promotional loop that runs through long shopping hours and weekends.

Industrial sites in Mesaieed or the Industrial Area may need screens for shift schedules, safety messages or production information. The source does not state an operating temperature range, so the location should be confirmed before installation, especially for cabinets or spaces that are not air-conditioned during summer, when temperatures can exceed 45°C.

What to plan before ordering

Confirm the power arrangement: the input is DC 12V, but the source lists both 36W and 60W ratings, so the adapter should be confirmed in the quotation.
Choose the operating system, memory and storage to suit your content software.
Check that the HDMI or VGA output matches the inputs on your display.
Allow for airflow around the enclosure and confirm the mounting position.

For a single screen, a free site survey lets the SmartRooms Qatar team check the display, mounting point and power route before you commit. For several players across a school or ministry branch network, orders can be raised by purchase order (LPO). Request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar, and we will return a quotation usually within one working day.

Questions about TC-24FAY-i56G

What is the TC-24FAY-i56G used for?

It is a media player that feeds a display with continuous content, such as menu boards, wayfinding screens and promotional loops. Trend classes it for industrial use and lists 24/7 operation as its ideal use, so it suits signage that must keep running through the day and night. In a retail unit in Msheireb or The Pearl, it sits behind the screen as the content source.

Is it fanless, and why does that matter in a Qatar hotel lobby?

Yes. It uses passive cooling without a fan, so it produces no fan noise in a quiet area such as a West Bay hotel lobby or reception. The source data gives no operating temperature range, so confirm the exact location with the SmartRooms Qatar team, particularly if the player would sit in a cabinet that is not air-conditioned, where summer heat can exceed 45°C.

What processor and memory does it have?

It uses a 6th Generation Intel Core i5 processor, with memory options from 2GB up to 32GB. Choose the capacity when you request a quote, based on the number of screens and the complexity of your content. A simple looping playlist needs less memory than a multi-zone layout that combines video and live data on one display.

Which video outputs does it offer?

It has one HDMI port and a VGA graphic port, and the source data lists a resolution of 3840x2160, which is 4K Ultra HD. If your screen only has a VGA input, confirm the cable and display model before ordering. Most modern panels use HDMI, so check which input the screen in your lobby or office uses before the quotation is issued.

Can it connect to a government office network in Doha by cable?

Yes. The unit has two RJ45 ports with integrated LAN at 10/100/1000Mbps auto adaptive, which suits a wired connection to an office network where content is managed centrally. Before installation, confirm the network policy with your IT department, and specify the operating system you need in the quotation.

What storage can I choose?

The source lists mSATA options of 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB, and SATA options of 500GB, 1TB and 2TB. Pick a size that matches how many videos and images you need to keep on the player itself. High-resolution video files take up space quickly, so estimate your library size before you request a quote.

Which operating systems are available?

The default is a Windows 10 Pro trial. Licensed Windows 7, Windows 10 and Windows 10 Pro can be specified, and Linux or DOS are also available. Select the system at quotation so it matches your signage software and your organisation's IT security policy.

Will it run through the long hours of a Msheireb shopping centre?

Trend describes the unit for 24/7 operation with a fanless design, so it suits continuous use in a shopping centre. For a store on the ground floor of a Msheireb or Pearl mall, pair the player with a screen sized for the walkway, and ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm cabinet placement and ventilation before installation.

Will it fit in a narrow reception cabinet at a clinic in Al Sadd?

The chassis measures 177x127x55mm, with a net weight of 0.55kg and a gross weight of 1.4kg. It supports VESA mounting, so it can attach to a compatible bracket or the back of a display. Leave room in a narrow cabinet for cables and the power adapter, and confirm the mounting arrangement when you request a quote.

Is it suitable for an industrial site in Mesaieed?

Trend lists its use as industrial, and the input is DC 12V. The data gives two power ratings, 36W and 60W, so the adapter should be confirmed in the quotation. Because no operating temperature range is stated, confirm the site temperature and ventilation with the team before mounting it in a plant or outdoor-facing area.

Could a training centre in Education City use it?

Yes. It can drive a corridor screen in a training centre in Education City, showing timetables and announcements from a central network connected through the RJ45 port. The unit is rated for 24/7 operation, and the manufacturer lists a 2-year warranty that covers the product.

How do I request a quote and pay?

Send a quote request with the model TC-24FAY-i56G, the number of units and the operating system you need. SmartRooms Qatar usually returns a quotation within one working day. Public bodies and schools can order against a purchase order or LPO, and payment is accepted by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order.
