A 43-inch 4K panel designed for portrait content

The LDV43-PAI400L is a 43-inch LCD signage display set in a vertical 9:16 orientation, with a 2160 × 3840 resolution that gives tall menus, directories and posters room to breathe. Its panel is rated at 700 cd/m² typical brightness and shows 10-bit colour (8-bit plus FRC), producing about 1.07 billion colours. The manufacturer lists the technology as IPS/VA, with typical contrast of 1,200:1 for IPS and 5,000:1 for VA, and a 178° viewing angle both horizontally and vertically. An ELED backlight, 8 ms typical response time and a 1% haze surface treatment complete the picture.

Playback, layouts and remote control

Android 11 runs on a quad-core A55 processor at 1.92 GHz, supported by 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The unit decodes H.265 and VP9 at 2160p60, and H.264 at 2160p30, so 4K files play without stepping down. Playlists can switch between several playback modes, and the intelligent split screen lets operators rearrange page zones freely to suit different rooms. The device is managed through a browser-based platform in B/S architecture, where programs are scheduled by time and location and operation reports are generated. Screens can also be controlled remotely from that same platform.

Connections, audio and power

• Network: one RJ-45 port with 10/100/1000 Mbps self-adaptive Ethernet; Wi-Fi is available only through an optional external module.
• Video input: one HDMI 2.1 port at 4K 60Hz. The unit has no video output, so it cannot pass a signal on to a second screen.
• Storage and I/O: one USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 Type A port, a TF card slot up to 128 GB, a 3.5 mm audio output and an IR receiver.
• Audio: two 5 W built-in speakers. Bluetooth is not fitted.

Power input is 100–240 VAC at 50/60 Hz, which covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz mains. Power consumption is up to 200 W and standby no more than 0.5 W. A power cord is supplied, and the plug arrangement should be confirmed with the installer at the mounting point.

Environment and planning the installation

The operating range is 0 °C to +40 °C with 10–85% non-condensing humidity, and the manufacturer asks that the unit avoid direct sunlight. Qatar's summer regularly passes 45 °C, so plan for a cooled indoor position away from windows, glass frontages and direct sun, and confirm the exact spot with the SmartRooms Qatar team before fixing it. The unit ships with a base and installs vertically. Its listed dimensions are 1800 × 625 × 460 mm and net weight is 40.59 kg (48.42 kg gross), so plan for two people to move it and check doorways and lift sizes in busy buildings such as malls and hotels.
