SL8604

What the SL8604 is built for

The SL8604 is an 86-inch digital signage display with a 3840 × 2160 IPS panel that can be mounted in landscape or portrait. It suits spaces where content must be readable from across the room, such as a building entrance, a reception hall or a large meeting room. Its colour performance is the reason design and brand teams shortlist it: the panel is Pantone and Pantone SkinTone validated, covers 99% sRGB under the CIE 1976 measure and runs a 10-bit colour depth, so logos and approved palettes on screen stay close to the master files.

Specifications that matter when you compare

• Brightness: 500 nits typical, with a 1200:1 typical contrast ratio.
• Surface: an anti-glare coating that cuts reflections from windows and ceiling lights in bright lobbies.
• Duty cycle: rated for 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with a typical backlight life of 50,000 hours.
• Platform: Android 13 with 8 GB memory and 64 GB storage, Google EDLA certified.
• Inputs: two HDMI 2.0 inputs, two USB-A 2.0 ports, one 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port and an RS-232 port.
• Audio: two 12 W speakers plus a 3.5 mm earphone output.

Where it fits in Qatar

A private school in Al Wakrah could place one in its entrance hall to show timetables, announcements and event schedules, with content loaded in advance from the administration office. A hotel in West Bay might use one in a conference foyer to display the day's programme, while a government office in Msheireb could fit one in a boardroom where English and Arabic materials need consistent colour. In each case the 86-inch size keeps text legible from several metres away.

What to plan before you order

The panel weighs 49 kg without packaging and 64 kg shipped, and measures 1927 × 1098.5 × 59.5 mm. Confirm that the wall or support structure can carry that load before fixing the VESA 600 × 400 mm mount with its four M8 screws. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys to check wall construction, viewing distances and cable routes first.

The stated operating range is 0°C to 40°C, with operating humidity of 10% to 80% non-condensing. Summer temperatures in Qatar can exceed 45°C, so install the screen in an air-conditioned room away from direct sunlight and open doorways, and confirm the environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before you approve the quotation.

The power input is stated as AC 100-240V at 50/60Hz, a range that covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz supply. Typical consumption is 140.7 W and standby is below 0.5 W. The accessory list does not include a power cord, so confirm the cord for BS 1363 sockets when you request your quote.

Managing several screens from one place

Schools and organisations ordering multiple units can use the BenQ Device Management Solution (DMS) to control settings, power schedules, firmware updates and app installations remotely. New units can be provisioned by scanning the barcode on the box or device, and AMS handles account management. InstaShare 2 adds wireless sharing from Windows, Android, macOS, iOS, iPadOS and ChromeOS devices. Purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders are accepted, with delivery across all eight municipalities of Qatar.

To request a quote for the BenQ SL8604, send SmartRooms Qatar the room size, wall type and quantity, and we will reply with a quotation, usually within one working day.
