An 86-inch 4K panel for long daily broadcast hours

The Hisense 86B4E30T is an 86-inch digital signage display with 3840 x 2160 resolution, an IPS panel and DLED backlighting. It is rated for 18 hours a day, seven days a week, so it suits retail floors, hotel lobbies and corporate reception areas. Hisense has discontinued this model, and this page is written for owners, for buyers comparing it with newer displays and for anyone seeking a replacement.

The specifications that matter for planning

Panel: 86-inch IPS panel, DLED backlight, 60Hz refresh rate and a rated lifetime of 50,000 hours.
Image: 500 nits typical brightness and 1200:1 typical contrast.
Viewing: 178-degree viewing angle with landscape or portrait orientation.
Playback: Android 8.0 on a dual-core System on Chip, with internal memory and a TF card slot.
Control and network: IR remote, RS232 on an RJ45 connector, 10/100Mbps LAN and 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi.
Audio: Two built-in 10W speakers.

At 500 nits typical brightness and a 178-degree viewing angle, the panel stays readable for people passing from the side, including in brightly lit lobbies. Content can run in landscape or portrait, and each screen can start with a custom logo or wallpaper so that a group of displays looks consistent.

You can use your own content management system or Hisense's CMS platform, which manages playlists, synchronises playback across displays and supports status monitoring with real-time control. Internal memory lets the screen store and play media without a PC attached.

Where it fits in Qatar

In a retail unit in West Bay, the screen can run promotions through extended trading hours. In a hotel lobby in The Pearl, one panel can show portrait wayfinding and landscape event listings. In a bank branch in Al Sadd, it can display service messages and queue information in the waiting area.

Planning the wall, power and environment

The panel weighs 49.5 kg net, measures 1929 x 1100 x 69.5 mm and uses a 600 x 400 mm VESA pattern, so confirm the bracket and wall structure before ordering. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys, which we recommend for any 86-inch wall mount.

The operating range is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius at 20 to 80 percent humidity, while Qatar summer temperatures can exceed 45 degrees Celsius. Install the display in an air-conditioned indoor space, away from direct sun through glass.

Input is 100 to 240V at 50 to 60Hz, with 440W power consumption and under 0.5W standby. The box includes a power cord, IR remote with battery, RS232 cable, HDMI cable and user manual. Certifications include CB, CE, ERP, RCM, FCC, IC, CEC and cTUVus, and the product is covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

If you need a current equivalent

Because this model is discontinued, replacement buyers should match its 86-inch size, 4K resolution, 18/7 rating and VESA pattern. SmartRooms Qatar can quote for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement, including multi-unit orders for schools or ministries under an LPO or a Monaqasat tender.

Request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar with your unit count and mounting location. We usually send a quotation within one working day and deliver to all eight municipalities of Qatar.

Questions about 86B4E30T

What is the Hisense 86B4E30T designed for?

The 86B4E30T is a commercial digital signage display for content that plays through most of the day. Hisense rates it for 18 hours a day, seven days a week, so it suits retail floors, hotel lobbies and corporate reception areas. Its 500 nits typical brightness and 178-degree viewing angle help content stay visible to passers-by. Because the model is discontinued, buyers should confirm a current equivalent before ordering.

Is the 86B4E30T still manufactured?

No. Hisense has discontinued the 86B4E30T and lists it among its end-of-life products. Organisations in Qatar that already run this model can ask SmartRooms Qatar for a quote on a current equivalent or compatible replacement, matched on the 86-inch size, 4K resolution, 18/7 rating and 600 x 400 mm VESA pattern. Quotations are usually sent within one working day.

Can it play content without a PC?

Yes. The display has internal memory that lets you store and play media as a PC-less solution, so a playlist can run when no computer is connected. It runs Android 8.0 and has a TF card slot. Compare the storage available on the unit with the size of your content library before installation, and ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm your setup.

Which content management software can I use with it?

You are free to choose your own CMS. Hisense also offers its CMS platform, which edits playlists, supports synchronous playback across multiple displays, and provides status monitoring with real-time control. This suits a retailer running branches across Doha or a ministry operating several screens in one building, where staff may need to change an urgent message quickly.

Will it work in a bright shop front in West Bay?

It can, with planning. At 500 nits typical, the panel suits indoor shop floors and lit lobbies, but a screen facing a window in direct sun may struggle with glare. Place it inside the store, away from reflections, and use the 178-degree viewing angle to cover shoppers approaching from the side. Ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to review the position during a free site survey before mounting.

Can I mount it in portrait for wayfinding in a hotel or hospital?

Yes. The 86B4E30T supports landscape and portrait orientation, which makes it useful for wayfinding in a hotel lobby in The Pearl or a corridor in a Doha hospital. The VESA pattern is 600 x 400 mm, so the bracket must match. Check that the wall can take a net weight of 49.5 kg before fitting, and confirm the orientation and bracket with the team before ordering several units.

Does it run on Qatar's 240V mains supply?

The input range is 100 to 240V at 50 to 60Hz, which covers Qatar's 240V, 50Hz supply. Power consumption is 440W, and standby draw is under 0.5W. A power cord is supplied in the box. Before installation, confirm the plug and socket arrangement at the site with the SmartRooms Qatar team so that the cord and wall outlet match.

How hot can the room get for this display?

The operating temperature range is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius, with humidity between 20 and 80 percent. Qatar summer temperatures can exceed 45 degrees Celsius, so the display should sit in an air-conditioned indoor space, not an unshaded entrance or a room with direct sun through glass. For a semi-enclosed kiosk or area, confirm the conditions with the SmartRooms Qatar team first.

How heavy is it and what should I plan for the installation?

The net weight is 49.5 kg and the packed weight is 63.4 kg, with a body measuring 1929 x 1100 x 69.5 mm. Plan for a lifting team with equipment, a wall or structure rated for the load, and a bracket matching the 600 x 400 mm VESA pattern. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys, which are worth booking for an 86-inch panel in a school corridor, lobby or boardroom.

Can it connect to a corporate or government network?

It has 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi and a 10/100Mbps LAN port, so it can join a wired or wireless network. Once connected, it sets its time automatically from the local time zone, which keeps scheduled playback in step. Check network security policies with your IT team before connecting the display to an internal network at a bank or ministry.

Does it have speakers, and is extra audio needed?

The display has two built-in 10W speakers, which suit announcements and short clips in quiet spaces such as a reception or a small waiting area. For a large lobby or a noisy atrium, plan a separate audio system. The box includes an RS232 cable and an IR remote with battery for local control.

Which certifications does it hold, and is it covered by warranty?

The 86B4E30T is listed with CB, CE, ERP, RCM, FCC, IC, CEC and cTUVus certifications, which helps when preparing procurement files and government tenders. The product is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. SmartRooms Qatar supplies against purchase orders (LPO) and tenders, including Monaqasat, and accepts payment by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order.
