Overview

The iiyama ProLite LE9864UHS-B1AG is a 98-inch 4K UHD signage display built for spaces that need content running all day. It runs Android 14 with the iiSignage² content management system, has built-in dual-band Wi-Fi, and offers a 500 cd/m² panel with matte anti-glare glass. It suits large malls, hotel lobbies and corporate reception areas in Doha, Lusail and West Bay. Request a quote today.

What the 98-inch LE9864UHS-B1AG delivers

The iiyama ProLite LE9864UHS-B1AG is a 98-inch signage display with a native 3840 x 2160 resolution at 60Hz and a pixel pitch of 0.487 mm. Its VA panel is rated at 500 cd/m² with a static contrast ratio of 5000:1 and a 6.5 ms response time. The glass has a matte anti-glare finish with 25% haze, which helps when the screen faces daylight from a window or atrium.

The visible picture area measures 2158.8 x 1214.4 mm, and the bezel is 20 mm on every side, so the image dominates the frame when the screen is viewed from across a room. Horizontal and vertical viewing angles are both 178 degrees.

Software that runs without an external player

The display runs Android 14, and applications can be installed directly on it. Content is scheduled and controlled through iiSignage², the content management system, while iiControl handles device management and iiShare supports wireless presentation. The unit includes 4GB RAM and 32GB storage, and its bundled apps cover a browser, media player, PDF viewer, file manager, TeamViewer and EShare.

FailOver is worth planning around. If the default input loses its signal, the display moves to the next input in a priority list you set, which can be the browser, the media player or a custom source, so the screen does not go blank during a dropout.

Connectivity for mixed sources

HDMI: two HDMI 2.0 inputs, with ARC on HDMI 2
USB-C: DisplayPort Alt mode with 15W power delivery
Network and control: RJ45 LAN, built-in Wi-Fi on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, RS-232c and IR
Other: two USB 2.0 ports, 3.5mm audio output, two 10W speakers

A wall mount bracket, power cable, HDMI cable and RS-232c cable (1.8 m each) are included, along with a remote control. HDCP 1.4 and 2.0 are supported.

Where it fits in Qatar

In a corporate reception in West Bay, the display can carry welcome messages, company news and visitor directions, updated from the head office without a site visit. In a shopping mall in Doha, a screen in a concourse can run promotions around the clock, since the product is specified for 24/7 operation and includes anti image retention. A hotel lobby in Lusail can show local events, dining offers and check-in information, and the 178-degree viewing angle lets guests read it while walking past from several directions.

What to plan before installation

At 61 kg without packaging (77.9 kg boxed), with a product size of 2202 x 1257.7 x 110.5 mm, the display needs a wall structure and fixings rated for that load. The VESA pattern is 700 x 500 mm. SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey to check wall construction, mounting height and cable routes before the unit is ordered for installation.

Heat is the main environmental limit. The operating range is 0°C to 40°C, and storage is -20°C to 60°C. Summer temperatures in Qatar can exceed 45°C, so the display should sit in an air-conditioned interior with clear airflow around the cabinet. Confirm the exact location with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installation. Typical power draw is 388 W on a 100 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz supply, and the energy efficiency class is G.

Ordering and next steps

Quotations are usually issued within one working day. Schools, ministries and companies can order against a purchase order or LPO, and government tenders, including Monaqasat, are supported. We deliver to all eight municipalities of Qatar and arrange professional installation. Request a quote with your mounting location, number of units and content sources, and the team will confirm the configuration. The product is covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

Questions about LE9864UHS-B1AG

Is the LE9864UHS-B1AG suited to a corporate reception in West Bay?

Yes, it suits a reception wall that needs to show company news, visitor directions and welcome messages. The 4K panel with 500 cd/m² brightness and matte anti-glare glass stays readable when daylight falls on the screen. Content can be scheduled and changed remotely through iiSignage², so the front desk team does not update the screen by hand. Because the unit weighs 61 kg, check the wall fixing point before ordering.

Does it need a separate media player or PC to show content?

No separate computer is needed for basic signage. The display runs Android 14 and includes iiSignage² for content management, iiControl for device management, iiShare for wireless presentation, a media player and a browser. It has 4GB RAM and 32GB storage, and applications can be installed directly on the screen. If your content relies on a specific external application, confirm compatibility with the SmartRooms Qatar team before ordering.

How does FailOver keep the screen active?

FailOver monitors the inputs. If the default source loses its signal, the display automatically switches to the next available input in the priority order you set. Priority can be given to the browser, the media player or custom sources, so the screen does not go black if a laptop disconnects or a media box loses power in a busy foyer. It is a useful safeguard for any display that must show content during opening hours.

Which connections does it offer for laptops, media players and control systems?

It has two HDMI 2.0 inputs supporting up to 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz, with ARC on HDMI 2. A USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt mode and 15W power delivery, so a compatible laptop can send video over a single cable. For control, it provides RS-232c, IR input and output, and an RJ45 LAN port. Two USB 2.0 ports and a 3.5mm audio output complete the set. HDCP 1.4 and 2.0 are supported.

Could a bank branch in Doha update content remotely over Wi-Fi?

Yes. The display has built-in Wi-Fi on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, and iiSignage² lets the team manage content and devices remotely. A branch manager can change promotions or service notices from another location while the screen keeps playing. Check that the branch network can carry the content traffic, and use the wired RJ45 LAN port where a more stable connection is needed.

Can it run 24/7 in a shopping mall concourse in Doha?

The specification lists 24/7 operation and includes anti image retention, which matters for static menus, logos and wayfinding maps that stay on screen for long periods. The fanless design and a stated MTBF of 50,000 hours (excluding backlight) support continuous use. The operating temperature limit is 40°C, so the concourse must be air-conditioned, and the screen should be kept away from direct sunlight and hot exhausts. Confirm the location with the SmartRooms Qatar team first.

How should I plan for Qatar's summer heat?

The operating range is 0°C to 40°C and the storage range is -20°C to 60°C. Summer temperatures in Qatar can pass 45°C, so the display must sit in a conditioned space, not on an open terrace, a loading bay or a glazed area without air conditioning. Keep vents clear and leave space around the cabinet. Ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to review the exact position before ordering, especially near windows or entrances.

What should I plan before wall-mounting it?

The VESA pattern is 700 x 500 mm, and a wall mount bracket, screws, anchors and a mounting guide are included. The product measures 2202 x 1257.7 x 110.5 mm and weighs 61 kg without its box, so the wall and fixings must suit that load. SmartRooms Qatar provides a free site survey to check wall type, mounting height, cable routes and power points before professional installation.

Would it suit a hotel lobby in Lusail?

Yes, a lobby in a Lusail hotel or serviced apartment building can use the screen for local events, dining offers and check-in information. The 98-inch 4K panel gives a clear image from a distance, and the 178-degree viewing angle helps guests read it from several positions. Measure the space first: the viewable area is 2158.8 x 1214.4 mm, so the wall needs room for a panel about 2.2 metres wide. Keep the display in the air-conditioned lobby within its 0°C to 40°C operating range.

Does the on-screen menu support Arabic?

The on-screen menu lists English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Russian, Japanese, Czech, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Finnish, Danish and Norwegian, and Arabic is not among them. How Arabic text appears in your content is a separate matter, so confirm it with the SmartRooms Qatar team before ordering, especially if your staff work in Arabic and English side by side. The menu language and the content language are controlled separately.

What is its power draw, and does it suit Qatar mains supply?

The power supply is internal and specified for 100 to 240 V AC at 50/60 Hz, which covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz mains. Typical consumption is 388 W, with 0.5 W in standby and 0.3 W in off mode. A 1.8 m power cable is included, so plan a socket close to the mounting point. The energy efficiency class is G under EU Regulation 2017/1369.

How would a school in Al Wakrah order several units with an LPO?

The school can issue one purchase order or LPO covering the total number of displays, and SmartRooms Qatar will quote the units as a single order. Each unit includes a wall mount bracket, remote control and cables, so the components match across the building. Quotations are usually issued within one working day. We deliver to all eight municipalities and accept government tenders, including Monaqasat. Send the wall locations and unit count with your request.
