LG Stretch Signage 37BH7N-H 37-inch 32:9 Display

Overview

The LG 37BH7N-H is a 37-inch stretched display in a 32:9 format at 1920x540 resolution, made for wide, shallow wall spaces in shops, airports and corridors. It offers 700 nit typical brightness, built-in Wi-Fi, 16GB internal memory and two HDMI inputs with daisy chain support. It suits Qatari malls, airport concourses and office lobbies that want one media player feeding several screens.

A 32:9 format for long, narrow wall spaces

The LG 37BH7N-H turns a shallow wall into a wide display. Its 37-inch panel uses a 32:9 aspect ratio, twice as wide relative to its height as a 16:9 screen, so it can show a headline strip, a timetable and a promotional loop side by side. The native resolution is 1920x540, so the panel works best with text, schedules, menus and simple motion graphics rather than detailed photography.

The panel is an IPS type with edge backlighting, a 60Hz refresh rate and a 14ms response time (G to G). Typical brightness is 700 nit, the contrast ratio is listed at 1,000:1 and colour gamut is NTSC 72%. It is rated for 24/7 operation with a life time of 50,000 hours minimum. The surface carries a 25% haze finish, a matte treatment that reduces glare from bright lights.

Connectivity and control for multi-screen installs

The rear panel offers two HDMI inputs with daisy chain support, one DisplayPort input, one USB 2.0 Type A port with auto playback, an RJ45 LAN port, RS232C in and out, IR in and an HDMI output. HDMI1 and HDMI2 carry HDCP 2.2 and 1.4 ratings, and HDMI2 supports ARC. Internal memory is 16GB and Wi-Fi is built in. A temperature sensor, an auto brightness sensor and a gyro sensor that detects portrait or landscape orientation are also included.

The software side includes webOS 6.0, an embedded content scheduler, a group manager and local key operation. The model is compatible with SuperSign CMS, SuperSign Control+, SuperSign WB and Mobile CMS, and LG ConnectedCare is available as an optional cloud service for remote status checks and fault diagnosis. Picture-by-picture mode can show two sources on one panel, and tile mode can span up to 15 by 15 displays.

Where it fits in Qatar

At an airport concourse near Hamad International Airport, the 32:9 format suits a strip above a seating area or a boarding gate notice, where a standard 16:9 screen would leave dead space. Keep the unit in air-conditioned areas, because its rated operating temperature is 0 to 40 °C.

In a shopping mall in West Bay or The Pearl, a row of these units can run one playlist across a shopfront, and the daisy chain removes the need for a separate media box at each screen. A ministry or bank lobby in Msheireb or Doha can use the panel as a wayfinding strip, with picture-by-picture mode showing queue numbers beside announcements.

A hotel in Lusail may mount one in portrait orientation beside a lift lobby, where a narrow column of wall would otherwise go unused.

What to plan before ordering

Wall size: the head measures 922.3 x 288.3 x 43.5 mm without IR and weighs 7kg, or 9kg packed.
Mounting: the VESA pattern is 400x200 mm, so check the bracket before ordering.
Environment: operating range is 0 to 40 °C and 10 to 80% humidity, so avoid unconditioned spaces and direct afternoon sun.
Dust and outdoor use: the power board has conformal coating, but no IP rating is given in the source data, so confirm the site with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installing near dusty or open areas.

The built-in power supply accepts AC 100 to 240V at 50/60Hz, typically drawing 40W and at most 50W. The package includes a remote controller with two batteries, a 1.55 m power cord, a quick start guide, a regulation book, a phone-to-RS232C adapter and a power cord clip.

SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey before wall-mounting, delivery to all eight municipalities of Qatar, professional installation and quotations usually within one working day. Purchase orders, LPOs and government tenders including Monaqasat are accepted. Request a quote for the LG 37BH7N-H and send us the wall dimensions, the number of units and your content plan.

Questions about 37BH7N-H

What is the LG 37BH7N-H best used for?

The LG 37BH7N-H is a 37-inch stretched signage display for wide, shallow wall spaces where a standard 16:9 screen does not fit the layout. Typical uses are corridor headers, queue and timetable strips, and promotional loops in shops and public areas. It suits Qatari organisations that need a long, slim screen to show several messages at once rather than one full-size image.

How does the 32:9 format differ from a standard 16:9 screen?

A 32:9 panel is twice as wide, relative to its height, as a 16:9 screen. On this 37-inch model the native resolution is 1920x540, so content is laid out as a horizontal band. Facilities teams can use it for schedules, news tickers or a row of product images above a counter, where a 16:9 display would leave unused space on the wall.

Can the LG 37BH7N-H be mounted in portrait orientation?

Yes. The source data lists portrait and landscape operation, and the unit includes a gyro sensor that detects orientation. Portrait mounting can suit a narrow column beside a lift lobby or a tall corridor in a hotel in Lusail. Confirm the orientation, cable routing and bracket before fixing it, since the VESA pattern is 400x200 mm and the head weighs 7kg.

Can the LG 37BH7N-H cope with Qatar's summer heat?

Only in air-conditioned spaces. The rated operating temperature is 0 to 40 °C with 10 to 80% humidity, while outdoor summer temperatures in Qatar can exceed 45 °C. Install it indoors in a conditioned lobby or mall corridor, away from windows that receive direct afternoon sun. Ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to check the site before installing it near a loading bay or open entrance.

Does the LG 37BH7N-H work on Qatar's 240 V mains supply?

The built-in power supply is rated for AC 100 to 240V at 50/60Hz, which covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz mains. Typical consumption is 40W and maximum consumption is 50W, so one unit adds a small load to a circuit. The package includes a 1.55 m power cord and a power cord clip. Confirm the socket position and cable route during the site survey.

Can one media player run several LG 37BH7N-H screens?

Yes, through the HDMI daisy chain. The unit has two HDMI inputs with daisy chain support, so one source can feed several displays with the same content. This avoids a separate media box at each screen, which lowers installation cost. If you plan a larger grid, tile mode can span up to 15 by 15 displays. Confirm the chain layout and cabling in your quotation.

Which content management software is compatible?

The source data lists SuperSign CMS, SuperSign Control+, SuperSign WB and Mobile CMS as compatible software. LG ConnectedCare is an optional cloud service for remote status monitoring and fault diagnosis. The display also has 16GB internal memory, an embedded content scheduler and a group manager, so basic scheduling can run locally. Tell us your content workflow and we will confirm the best fit in your quote.

Is the LG 37BH7N-H suitable for dusty or outdoor-facing areas?

It is an indoor display, and the source data gives no IP rating, so treat it as an indoor unit. The manufacturer states the power board has conformal coating that protects against salt, dust, iron powder and humidity, but the operating humidity range is only 10 to 80%. For a dusty loading bay or Industrial Area site, have the environment assessed on site before a quotation is finalised.

What wall space and mounting details should I plan for?

The head measures 922.3 x 288.3 x 43.5 mm without IR and weighs 7kg, or 9kg packed. The VESA pattern is 400x200 mm, so check that the bracket matches before ordering. Allow room behind the panel for cable routing and the IR receiver, which the dimensions exclude. SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey that checks wall condition, height and power point position.

Which Qatar locations suit this 37-inch 32:9 format best?

Strong fits include a departure hall corridor near Hamad International Airport, a retail frontage in The Pearl, and a clinic waiting area in Al Sadd that shows queue numbers and session schedules. Each site needs a wide, short wall section and reliable air-conditioning. Send the team a photo of the wall and its dimensions, and a layout check can be included with your quotation.

What comes in the box with the LG 37BH7N-H?

The source data lists a remote controller with two batteries, a 1.55 m power cord, a quick start guide, a regulation book, a phone-to-RS232C adapter and a power cord clip. No wall bracket is listed, so confirm the mounting hardware for your wall type when you request a quote. Products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

How do we order this display through an LPO or government tender?

SmartRooms Qatar accepts purchase orders, LPOs and government tenders, including Monaqasat. Send the quantity, each mounting location and the tender reference. Quotations are usually issued within one working day. Payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. For a multi-unit order such as a ministry lobby fit-out, list each site separately so the quotation covers installation and the free site survey.
