Name: LG 43SE3KB 43-inch Standard Essential FHD Display
Brand: LG
SKU: lg-43se3kb
Availability: Discontinued

Overview

The LG 43SE3KB is a 43-inch Full HD display for public and office signage. It runs in landscape or portrait orientation, schedules content from USB without a server, and supports RS232C and network control. Conformal coating on its circuit board guards against dust and humidity. LG has discontinued this model; request a quote for a current equivalent.

What the LG 43SE3KB is built to do

The LG 43SE3KB is a 43-inch Full HD display from the SE3K series, designed for information and advertising screens that run every day. Its 1,920 x 1,080 panel is rated at 350 cd/m², a figure that matters for screens placed near windows or glass lobby doors. The panel turns between landscape and portrait, so one unit can show a wide menu board or a tall wayfinding column.

LG has discontinued this model. Organisations that already own units can plan spares and mounting around the existing installation, while new projects should request a quote for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement.

Content and control without a PC at every screen

The display can play and schedule content straight from a USB device, so no content server is needed for simple rotations. For networked estates, the embedded SuperSign player supports SuperSign-w lite and SuperSign-c, and the RJ45 port allows content transfer and control over the network. The RS232C input and output ports add a serial control route, and an IR receiver and remote control come with the unit.

Where it fits in Qatar

Government service centres: a waiting hall in Doha showing queue numbers and procedure notices, updated by staff from a USB drive.
Clinics and hospital corridors: displays in Al Sadd or Msheireb showing wayfinding and health awareness messages, with a schedule that changes content through the day.
Corporate reception desks: a company in West Bay or Lusail showing meeting room bookings and visitor messages in portrait orientation beside a lift lobby.

What to plan before ordering

The monitor measures 969.6 mm wide, 563.9 mm high and 54 mm deep, thinning to 38.6 mm at its thinnest point, with a head weight of 10.0 kg. It uses a 200 x 200 mm VESA pattern, and the ST-432T stand, LSW230B wall bracket and AM-B220S VESA adapter are listed as optional accessories. Bezels measure 11.9 mm on the sides and top and 18 mm at the bottom, so a grid of units will show a wider horizontal seam at the bottom edge. The model does not accept an OPS module, but an external media player (MP500 or MP700) can be attached. The source data does not give an operating temperature range, so confirm the installation environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before mounting, especially in sun-exposed or dusty positions.

Questions about 43SE3KB

Is the LG 43SE3KB still available from the manufacturer?

No. LG has discontinued the 43SE3KB. If you need a unit that matches what you already have, or a replacement that works with the same content and mounts, request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar for a current equivalent or compatible model. Send the quantity, mounting type and site details so we can compare specifications before you commit to any replacement.

Would this display suit a government service centre waiting hall in Doha?

Yes, for a simple information or notice screen. The panel offers 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and 350 cd/m² brightness, enough to show queue numbers and procedure text clearly at 43 inches. If the hall has large windows facing the street, compare the brightness with the actual lighting in the room before ordering, and ask for a site survey.

What resolution and brightness does the panel offer?

The panel is Full HD at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and is rated at 350 cd/m². For a 43-inch screen viewed from a reasonable distance, that resolution keeps menu text and table lines sharp. Brightness determines how readable content stays under direct daylight, so match the rating to the position of the screen before choosing this model.

Is portrait mode useful for a lift lobby in a West Bay office tower?

Yes. The display supports both portrait and landscape orientation. In a narrow lift lobby, a tall directory or visitor list can run in portrait, using less wall width than a landscape screen would. Set the orientation before mounting, and confirm cable routing with your installer so the power and signal leads reach the wall box neatly.

Can a clinic in Al Sadd update notices without a media server?

Yes. The display plays and schedules content from a USB connection, so no separate content server is needed. A receptionist can load a weekly schedule onto a USB drive, plug it into one of the two USB ports, and let the screen run it. Clinics that need central updates across several sites should ask about the networked SuperSign options instead.

Which management software is compatible?

The embedded SuperSign player is compatible with SuperSign-w lite and SuperSign-c. Content can be transferred and controlled over the network through the RJ45 interface, and the RS232C port provides another control route. Ask the SmartRooms Qatar team which software edition suits your number of screens, and whether your IT team needs network access for remote updates.

What control options does the unit have?

The unit has RS232C input and output, an RJ45 network port and an IR receiver connection. The RS232C output passes control commands on to another display, which helps when several screens in one hall are managed together. An IR receiver and a remote control with batteries are included in the basic accessory set.

Which ports are provided?

The display has one HDMI input, one DVI input, one analog RGB input, one audio input, two USB ports, one RS232C input, one RJ45 port and one IR receiver connection, plus an audio output and an RS232C output. It has no DisplayPort and no OPS slot. Check that your media source uses one of these connections before ordering.

Can it be wall-mounted in a shopping mall in The Pearl?

It can be mounted on a VESA 200 x 200 mm pattern. The head weighs 10.0 kg and measures 969.6 mm wide, 563.9 mm high and 54 mm deep. Before drilling, check the wall's load capacity and cable access. The optional LSW230B wall bracket and AM-B220S VESA adapter are available. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys before wall work begins.

Can several units be tiled into a video wall for a Lusail hotel lobby?

A multi-screen layout is possible, but the bezels are 11.9 mm on the sides and top and 18 mm at the bottom. The horizontal seam at the bottom will therefore be wider than the vertical seams, which affects continuous images across the wall. Before fixing the grid, compare this model with current alternatives that may have different bezel widths.

Which optional accessories can be added?

The optional list includes the ST-432T stand, an external media player (MP500 or MP700), the LSW230B wall bracket and the AM-B220S VESA adapter. Because the display does not accept an OPS module, an external player is useful if you need a separate content device. Choose accessories according to the mounting method and whether the site needs a floor stand.

How would a school in Al Wakrah order several units through an LPO?

Request one quotation covering all screens, accessories and cables. SmartRooms Qatar accepts purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including Monaqasat. Payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order, delivery covers all eight municipalities of Qatar, and professional installation is available. Because this model is discontinued, share the quantity early so we can confirm a current equivalent.
