Availability: Discontinued

Overview

The LG 65UH7J-H is a 65-inch UHD signage display with an IPS panel, 700 nit typical brightness, 24/7 operation, built-in webOS 6.0 and two 10 W speakers. It carries an IP5X dust-proof rating and a conformal-coated power board. The manufacturer has discontinued this model, so organisations that already run it, or are comparing displays, should request a quote for a current equivalent or compatible replacement from SmartRooms Qatar.

A 65-inch display built for bright, busy public spaces

The LG 65UH7J-H is a discontinued 65-inch UHD signage display from the UH7J series. It is designed for locations where content has to stay readable under strong ambient light. Its IPS panel runs at 3840 x 2160 resolution and 60 Hz, with a typical brightness of 700 nit, a 1,100:1 contrast ratio and a rated lifetime of 50,000 hours minimum. The panel is rated for 24/7 operation, which suits screens that run continuously from opening to closing time.

Dust, humidity and heat limits to plan around

Dust and humidity are constant concerns in Qatar, particularly around industrial zones and construction sites. The IP5X rating covers protection against dust, and the conformal coating on the power board is intended to protect that board from salt, dust, iron powder and humidity. The stated operating range is 0 °C to 40 °C with 10 % to 80 % humidity. Qatar summers regularly pass 45 °C, so the screen belongs in air-conditioned or well-shaded space within that range. The unit has no built-in fan, so airflow around the cabinet also needs to be checked before installation.

Connections, playback and control

Video inputs: two HDMI inputs (HDCP 2.2/1.4), one DisplayPort input and one DVI-D input.
Signal chaining: the DisplayPort output allows daisy-chaining from one screen to the next.
Audio and control: audio input and output, RS232C input and output, and one RJ45 LAN input per unit.
Wireless and media: built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, 16 GB internal eMMC memory, and an OPS (Piggyback) slot for a compatible media player, although the OPS power is not built in.

The software runs on webOS 6.0 and supports local content scheduling, group management, Wake on LAN, screen sharing and Crestron Connected integration. It is also compatible with SuperSign CMS and SuperSign Cloud, so one content team can update many screens. Picture-by-picture mode shows up to four sources side by side, and the tile mode setting supports video walls.

Where it fits in Qatar

In a retail unit in Msheireb or a mall in West Bay, the panel suits a storefront or entrance where brightness and a long daily run matter more than touch input. In a hotel lobby at The Pearl, two or three units can share a schedule through a central content system, with the built-in speakers covering short announcements. In a training centre in Education City, the 14.4 mm bottom bezel and 9.9 mm side bezels are a useful consideration if several units are tiled into a video wall.

Planning the installation

The head weighs 19.0 kg and 19.6 kg with the optional ST-653T stand. The VESA pattern is 300 x 300 mm, and the optional LSW350B wall bracket is available. The panel can be tilted face down by up to 30 degrees, but not face up. Its built-in power supply accepts 100-240 V at 50/60 Hz, which covers Qatar mains of 240 V and 50 Hz, and it draws 110 W typical and 150 W maximum. Confirm the power cord with the team for BS 1363 (Type G) sockets. A free site survey helps check wall strength, viewing position, ventilation and cable routing before a heavy panel is mounted.

Because this model is discontinued, send SmartRooms Qatar your intended location, environment, source devices and mounting method. Then request a quote for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement, usually confirmed within one working day.

Questions about 65UH7J-H

What is the LG 65UH7J-H and who is it for?

The LG 65UH7J-H is a 65-inch UHD IPS signage display rated at 700 nit typical brightness. It suits organisations that need a screen readable in lit lobbies, retail frontages, airport concourses and malls, such as a retail chain in Msheireb or a concession area near Hamad International Airport. It is discontinued, so buyers should compare it with a current equivalent.

Is the LG 65UH7J-H still available from SmartRooms Qatar?

No. The manufacturer has discontinued this model. If you already own one, or are comparing displays for a new project, request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement. Send the screen size, brightness need, connection list and mounting plan so the quotation matches your site.

How bright is the 65UH7J-H for a sunlit lobby?

The source data gives a typical brightness of 700 nit. That level helps content stay visible in a bright lobby, such as a hotel entrance in West Bay or a bank branch with large glazing. Direct sun on the glass, however, can still wash out content, so check the position and glare on site during the free survey.

Can it run continuously in a busy shopping mall?

Yes, the data rates the panel for 24/7 operation with a lifetime of 50,000 hours minimum. In a mall in Doha, that means the screen can run from opening to closing time every day. Keep the ambient temperature within the stated 0 °C to 40 °C operating range, and make sure the cabinet has adequate airflow.

Is it suitable for Qatar's summer heat and dust?

The operating range is 0 °C to 40 °C with 10 % to 80 % humidity, and summer temperatures in Qatar often exceed 45 °C. The IP5X rating and conformal-coated power board help against dust, salt and humidity. Install it in air-conditioned or shaded space, not in a sealed, sun-heated booth, and confirm the location with the SmartRooms Qatar team.

Which video inputs and connections does it have?

The unit has two HDMI inputs with HDCP 2.2/1.4, one DisplayPort input with HDCP 2.2/1.3 and one DVI-D input with HDCP 1.4. It also has audio input and output, RS232C input and output, and one RJ45 LAN input per unit. The source lists no RGB input and no touch USB, so plan around those gaps for laptops and touch overlays.

Can I attach a media player to it?

Yes. The source lists OPS compatibility using the Piggyback type, but the OPS power is not built in, so the media player needs its own power arrangement. The optional OPS Kit (KT-OPSF) is listed as an accessory. Ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm the kit and the player model before ordering.

How do I manage several units across a multi-branch business?

The panel runs webOS 6.0 and supports local content scheduling, group management, Wake on LAN, status mailing and Auto Set ID. It is compatible with SuperSign CMS and SuperSign Cloud. A bank with branches in Lusail and Al Sadd could update content centrally and monitor each screen, provided each site has a network connection to the RJ45 port.

Does it integrate with building control systems?

The data states Crestron Connected compatibility for network-based control, which can be used to automate displays within an AV system. It also lists RS232C control, SNMP and HDMI-CEC. Confirm the exact control scope with SmartRooms Qatar before design, since the integration depends on your control processor and the network layout of the site.

Will it work with Qatar's 240 V mains supply?

The built-in power supply is rated AC 100-240 V at 50/60 Hz, which covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz mains. Typical consumption is 110 W and maximum is 150 W. The power cord is included with the unit, but confirm that its plug suits BS 1363 (Type G) sockets with SmartRooms Qatar before installation.

What should I plan for wall mounting this 65-inch panel?

The head weighs 19.0 kg, and 19.6 kg with the optional stand, and the VESA pattern is 300 x 300 mm. The optional LSW350B wall bracket is listed. Confirm the wall structure, the bracket fixings and a clear service zone behind the screen. A free site survey by SmartRooms Qatar can check these points before a heavy panel is fixed to a wall in a school or office.

Can several units be tiled into a video wall?

Yes, the data lists a tile mode setting and a bezel of 9.9 mm on the top, left and right, with 14.4 mm at the bottom. The bottom bezel is wider than the sides, so the visible gap between tiles will be uneven. Test the layout for your wall, such as an atrium in Education City, before ordering the full set of panels.
