Overview

The LG 75UH5C is a 75-inch UHD signage display with 3,840 x 2,160 resolution and 500 cd/m² brightness. LG has discontinued this model, so owners and buyers comparing options should request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar for a current equivalent or compatible replacement. Its OPS compatibility and SuperSign software support suit lobbies, corridors and reception areas in Doha offices, hospitals and malls.

What the LG 75UH5C offers a signage buyer

The LG 75UH5C is a 75-inch UHD display built for standard digital signage, with a 3,840 x 2,160 panel and a rated brightness of 500 cd/m². It suits menus, wayfinding, schedules and promotional loops on a screen that stays sharp at close viewing distances. LG has discontinued this model, which matters if you plan a second batch or need to replace a unit already in service.

Connectivity and control for a managed network

Inputs cover HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI-D, audio, USB 3.0 and an SD card slot, with DisplayPort and audio outputs. For remote management the panel provides RS232C, RJ45, an IR receiver and a pixel sensor connection. It is OPS compatible and can also drive an external MP500 or MP700 media player, so you can choose between an OPS module and a separate player depending on your content setup.

Size, weight and power planning

Dimensions: 1,682.4 x 960.3 x 39.7 mm without logo or handle
Head weight: 41.5 kg, so plan two-person handling and a surveyed wall or stand
Bezel width: 14.9 mm
Power: 100-240V, 50/60Hz with built-in power supply
Consumption: typically 240W, or 170W in smart energy saving mode

Where it fits in Qatar

A hotel lobby in West Bay could use it for arrival information and event listings in an air-conditioned space. A clinic in Al Sadd could run wayfinding and queue information in its waiting area. A government office in Msheireb could show service announcements in its reception hall. In each case, match the operating range of 0°C to 40°C and humidity of 10% to 80% against the room conditions. Summer temperatures in Qatar regularly exceed 45°C, so this unit is not rated for outdoor, sun-facing or unconditioned locations.

What to plan before you request a quote

Because the model is discontinued, your quotation will cover a current equivalent or a compatible replacement, and the SmartRooms Qatar team will confirm compatibility with your sources, mounts and software. Questions about 75UH5C

Has LG discontinued the 75UH5C?

Yes, LG has discontinued the 75UH5C. If your organisation already owns units or you are comparing displays for a new project, request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar. We will quote a current equivalent or compatible replacement and check inputs, mounting and software with you before you order.

Who is this 75-inch signage display best suited to?

It suits standard signage in air-conditioned indoor areas such as hotel lobbies, office corridors and waiting areas. A clinic in Al Sadd, for example, could use a screen of this size to show queue numbers and directions, and its UHD resolution keeps text readable from typical viewing distances.

What resolution and brightness does the panel offer?

The panel has a 3,840 x 2,160 UHD resolution and a brightness rating of 500 cd/m². The resolution keeps text, menus and maps crisp across a 75-inch screen, while the 500 cd/m² rating suits well-lit indoor lobbies and corridors rather than direct sunlight.

Can it play content without a separate PC?

Yes, if you add a media player. The display is OPS compatible, and the optional OPS kit KT-OPSA is listed for it. It also accepts an external MP500 or MP700 media player, so you can run playback from a dedicated device connected to the screen.

Which software works with this display?

The compatibility data lists SuperSign-w lite and SuperSign-c. Before ordering, confirm with the SmartRooms Qatar team which player and content workflow match your network, so that the replacement quoted fits the software your team already uses.

How can the screen be controlled remotely?

Control options include RS232C, RJ45, an IR receiver and a pixel sensor connection. A remote controller and a phone to RS232C adapter are supplied, and the pixel sensor KT-SP0 is available as an optional accessory for brightness-based control.

Can it be installed in a sun-facing glazed entrance?

This is not advised. The operating range is 0°C to 40°C, while summer temperatures in Qatar can exceed 45°C. A hotel in Lusail with a glazed entrance should place the screen inside an air-conditioned lobby, away from direct sun and the entrance glass.

What power does it need and what does it consume?

It runs on 100-240V, 50/60Hz with a built-in power supply, and typically draws 240W, dropping to 170W in smart energy saving mode. A power cord is supplied, so confirm that its plug matches the BS 1363 sockets at your site before installation.

What should I plan for physically before mounting?

The body measures 1,682.4 x 960.3 x 39.7 mm without logo or handle and weighs 41.5 kg. Plan for two people to lift it and have the wall or stand inspected first. A free site survey from SmartRooms Qatar can confirm the position before a bank in West Bay fits a unit in a busy hall.

Is it suitable for a school corridor in Al Rayyan?

Yes, a corridor or entrance in an Al Rayyan school that shows timetables and announcements is a typical fit. Schools buying several units can issue a local purchase order (LPO). Check the 14.9 mm bezel width if you plan to place several screens side by side, and compare replacement options before approving.

Which certifications are listed for this model?

Safety certifications listed are UL, cUL, CB, TUV and KC. EMC certifications listed are FCC Class A, CE and KCC. The data lists it as not ErP or Energy Star compliant. These details can be referenced when you request a quote for a government tender through Monaqasat.
