Overview

The MAXHUB ND98CMB is a 98-inch commercial display with a 3840 × 2160 4K panel, 500 nits typical brightness and 24/7 operation. It runs Android 14 on a quad-core A73 processor with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage, and offers three HDMI inputs and USB Type-C. It suits lobbies, atriums and large boardrooms in Doha, West Bay and Lusail. Request a quote for supply and installation across Qatar.

A 98-inch 4K panel built for round-the-clock screens

The ND98CMB is the largest size in the MAXHUB CMB Series commercial display range described by the manufacturer. It uses a 98-inch 16:9 ADS panel at 3840 × 2160 resolution and is rated for 24/7 operation. That rating places it in the class of screens meant to run all day in a lobby, atrium or reception area, not only during meetings. At this size, content can be read from across a large hall.

The specifications that matter on site

Three figures shape most buying decisions: 500 nits typical brightness, 1,200:1 typical contrast and 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles. The panel covers 98% sRGB with 10-bit colour, so corporate colours stay consistent across signage and video walls. The 60 Hz refresh rate suits presentations and promotional loops. The display can run in landscape or portrait, and the data lists screen rotation, automatic input change and colour calibration as special features.

Processing: quad-core A73 at 1.8GHz, 4GB RAM and 32GB storage on Android 14.0.
Inputs: three HDMI IN, one HDMI OUT, one USB Type-C, two USB 2.0, one USB 3.0, RS232 and RJ45 IN and OUT.
Audio: 2.0 channels with 2×12W output and 2×16W maximum.
Physical: 17.9 mm bezel, 800 × 400 mm VESA pattern, 53.90 kg net weight.

Where the ND98CMB fits across Qatar

In a hotel lobby in The Pearl, the screen can carry welcome messages and event listings around the clock, with content updated remotely over the network. On a university campus in Education City, it can show wayfinding maps and event schedules in a busy foyer. At a government or corporate reception in West Bay, staff can connect a laptop over HDMI for a presentation, then return the screen to its signage playlist between meetings.

What to plan before ordering

At about 2.2 metres wide and 53.90 kg, the ND98CMB needs a wall or structure that can carry its weight and the 800 × 400 mm VESA pattern. Before ordering, plan these points with SmartRooms Qatar:

A free site survey to check wall structure, lift access, cable routes and power points.
Window glare and sun direction, given the 500 nits typical brightness.
The installation environment. The source data gives no operating temperature range, so confirm conditions before any sun-exposed or semi-outdoor placement.
How content will be managed, whether through the built-in player or a third-party CMS.

If the ND98CMB matches your space, request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar. Quotations are usually issued within one working day, and lead time is confirmed in the quotation based on stock.

Questions about ND98CMB

What is the ND98CMB designed for?

The ND98CMB is a commercial display for organisations that need a screen to run every day, not only during meetings. Its 24/7 operation rating and 3840 × 2160 4K panel suit digital signage, wayfinding, lobby welcome walls and information boards. Its 98-inch size is best matched to large reception halls, atriums and boardrooms where viewers stand several metres back.

Can a reception wall in The Pearl take a screen this size?

The unit measures 2198.9 × 1254.6 × 68.6 mm and weighs 53.90 kg net. It uses an 800 × 400 mm VESA pattern, so the bracket and wall must support that load and footprint. SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey that checks wall structure, lift access and cable routes before the bracket is ordered.

Can the ND98CMB be mounted in portrait orientation?

Yes. The display supports both landscape and portrait orientation, which is useful for vertical menu boards, wayfinding columns and corridor signs. Portrait mounting changes the load and the width the wall must span, so confirm the bracket and orientation with your installer during the site survey. Because a 98-inch panel in portrait is very tall, check ceiling height and sightlines first.

Will it run all day in a Doha lobby or a Lusail mall with sunlight from windows?

The specifications list 24/7 operation, 500 nits typical brightness and a 25% haze value. The source data does not describe the ND98CMB as an outdoor or sunlight-readable model. Position the screen away from direct glare from windows, and check the sun path at different times of day during the site survey. Ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm installation conditions before you order.

Can it be installed outdoors or in an open entrance exposed to Qatar's heat?

The source data gives no operating temperature range, and it does not describe the ND98CMB as an outdoor model. The manufacturer does describe IP5X dust-resistant construction, which is relevant during dust storms, but that does not replace a confirmed environment. Do not install it in an open entrance or sun-exposed courtyard until the SmartRooms Qatar team has confirmed the conditions with you in writing.

What operating system and processor does it use?

The ND98CMB runs Android 14.0 with MAXHUB Signage OS V2 on a quad-core A73 processor at 1.8GHz, with 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM. The built-in player supports 4K video and multiple formats with auto-playlist functionality. The manufacturer also states that start-up takes under 10 seconds using STR suspend-resume technology.

How do I connect laptops and media players?

The ND98CMB has three HDMI IN ports, one HDMI OUT, one USB Type-C port, two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 port and RJ45 IN and OUT network ports. For wireless use, it has a Wi-Fi module slot, with the SI07B module listed for Wi-Fi 6 on 2.4GHz and 5GHz, plus Bluetooth 5.2. Screen sharing supports BYOD, Miracast, AirPlay and Chromecast.

Can we schedule content and manage several screens from one place?

Yes. MAXHUB Pivot handles device control and content scheduling, and the manufacturer states compatibility with more than 20 CMS tools, including Appspace. Built-in features include power schedules, automatic input switching, playback from a URL and Wake on LAN. A facilities team in Doha can run several screens from one place, but confirm compatibility with your chosen CMS when you request a quote.

Is the built-in audio enough for a university foyer in Education City?

The built-in 2.0 stereo system is rated at 2×12W output and 2×16W maximum. That suits announcements and background audio in a foyer or reception. For large halls or events that need stronger sound, decide during the site survey whether external speakers are needed for the room size.

Can several ND98CMB units form a video wall?

The manufacturer states support for 5×5 video wall configurations. The bezel is listed at 17.9 mm, so a visible seam remains between panels. For a wall in an atrium in Msheireb or a hall in Education City, plan panel count, mounting rails and structural load together, and request a quote for the full wall so every unit and bracket is specified in one quotation.

What warranty applies, and can we order through an LPO or tender?

The source data lists a 3-year warranty on the display, and products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Ministries, authorities and schools can order by LPO, through Monaqasat government tenders, or by purchase order, paid by bank transfer or cheque. Send your LPO or tender requirements with your quote request so the quotation matches your procurement paperwork.
