What this 43-inch model is built to do

The Newline 43-inch DSX (model DSX-4326) is a commercial display with a 4K UHD panel at 3840 x 2160 and a direct LED backlight, designed for signage that runs around the clock. Its Android 14 platform runs the Newline Signage Pro software for scheduling content, so a facilities team can change a menu, a promotion or a safety notice from one place. Choose it where the message must be read from a corridor or a bright reception, not only from a desk.

Panel figures that matter for signage

Brightness: 700 nits keeps content readable in lobbies and shops lit by daylight through glass.
Contrast and colour: a 5000:1 contrast ratio and 1.07 billion colours give clear, rich images.
Motion: a 6.5 ms response time and 60 Hz refresh rate suit moving video and animated menus.
Viewing angle: 178 degrees, so people passing at the side can still read the screen.
Rated life: a display lifetime of 50,000 hours, with operation listed as 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Power: 80 W in standard mode and 0.5 W on standby.

Connectivity and control for IT teams

The rear panel offers two HDMI inputs and one HDMI output, which can pass the same picture to a second screen. It also has a USB 3.0 port for the Android system, a Type-C port listed at 15 W with full-function alternate mode, S/PDIF and line outputs, RS232C in and out for control from an existing AV system, and a 1000M LAN input. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 are built in. The processor is a quad-core A72 with a quad-core A53, paired with a Mali G52 MC3 graphics unit, 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The Click2Cast accessory is listed as compatible for one-button wireless casting.

Where it fits in Qatar

A clinic reception in Al Sadd showing wayfinding and waiting information during the Sunday to Thursday working week.
A cafe or quick-service outlet in Msheireb or West Bay running a looping menu board, using portrait orientation for tall layouts.
A training centre entrance or corridor in Education City displaying timetables and event notices.

Planning the installation

The unit measures 970 x 558 x 70 mm, weighs 8 kg net and 11.5 kg gross with packaging, and uses a 300 x 300 mm VESA pattern. Check that pattern against your bracket and that the wall suits the weight before ordering. The stated operating range is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius and the storage range is -20 to 60 degrees Celsius, so avoid positions near windows, outdoor entrances or unconditioned stores, where summer heat can exceed 45 degrees Celsius. Newline Signage Pro requires a subscription, so include it in your budget alongside the hardware.

Send your site plan, the number of screens and the wall types to SmartRooms Qatar and request a quote. Quotations usually arrive within one working day, and we can supply against a purchase order or a government tender.

Questions about 43" DSX

What is the Newline 43" DSX designed for?

The Newline 43" DSX is a 43-inch commercial display for digital signage, rated for continuous 24/7 operation. It suits menu boards in cafes, promotional screens in retail shops, wayfinding in clinics and information screens in corporate reception areas. With a 4K UHD panel and 700 nits of brightness, text and images stay readable in busy Doha lobbies and shopping areas.

Can the 43-inch DSX run around the clock?

Yes. The data lists 24-hour, 7-day operation, a display lifetime of 50,000 hours and a standard power draw of 80 W, dropping to 0.5 W on standby. Keep the unit within its 0 to 40 degrees Celsius operating range, which means an air-conditioned indoor space during Qatar's summer. For a site with long opening hours, such as a hotel lobby or a hospital waiting area, ask us to include this model in your quotation.

Is 700 nits bright enough for a Doha lobby with daylight?

The rated brightness is 700 nits, which suits lobbies, atriums and shop fronts lit by daylight through glass, where content must stay clear. Direct sunlight on the screen face or on a window-facing wall needs separate assessment with any display. When you request a quote, describe the room, the window orientation and the mounting position so our team can advise on placement.

Can it be mounted in portrait orientation for tall menus?

Yes. The DSX Series supports both portrait and landscape orientation, so a cafe menu can run tall while a corridor sign runs wide. Before mounting in portrait, confirm that the 300 x 300 mm VESA pattern matches your bracket and that the wall and bracket suit the 8 kg net weight of the unit. A free site survey lets us check this before installation.

What are the physical dimensions and mounting pattern?

The outline measures 970 x 558 x 70 mm and the net weight is 8 kg, or 11.5 kg gross including packaging. The packaging measures 1075 x 142 x 652 mm, which helps when planning delivery into a lift or storeroom. The VESA mounting pattern is 300 x 300 mm. Measure the wall and cable route before ordering, especially in older buildings with thin partition walls.

How can I show the same message on several screens?

The rear panel has an HDMI output, so one DSX display can pass its picture to a second screen. This suits a dining hall where menu boards must match, or a lobby where the same notice appears in two zones. Scheduling and content management through Newline Signage Pro is separate and needs a subscription, so budget for it if you manage content across many units.

Which ports and wireless options are available?

The rear panel has two HDMI inputs, one HDMI output, a USB 3.0 Android port, a Type-C port listed at 15 W, S/PDIF and line outputs, RS232C in and out, and a 1000M LAN input. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 are built in. If you plan to rely on wireless content updates, ask your IT team to confirm the network can support Wi-Fi 6 clients.

Can it connect to existing AV control systems?

Yes. The RS232C in and out connections allow the display to be controlled from an external system and allow commands to pass to the next screen in a chain. The 1000M LAN input adds network control. When you request a quote, share your control system's make and protocol so we can confirm the cables and any extra accessories required.

What software and accessories come with it?

The unit runs Android 14 with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, and works with the Newline software set, including Signage Pro, Display Management Plus, Cast, Broadcast and an App Store. The standard accessory list includes UK and EU power cables, a remote control with batteries, and RS232 cables. Click2Cast is listed as compatible but is not in the standard list, so request it in your quote if you need one-button wireless casting.

Is it suitable for outdoor entrances or dusty areas?

The stated operating range is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius, and the storage range is -20 to 60 degrees Celsius. An outdoor entrance or a dusty workshop in Mesaieed or the Industrial Area, where summer temperatures can pass 45 degrees Celsius, would sit outside the operating range. Describe the exact location and ask our team to confirm suitability before you request a quote.

Can it work as an interactive board for meeting rooms?

The source data describes the 43-inch DSX as a signage display and lists no touch input or camera, so it is not an interactive whiteboard. For meeting rooms that need touch annotation or video conferencing, compare our interactive flat panels and video conferencing systems. The DSX fits corridors, reception areas and menu boards better than a boardroom.

We are buying several units for a retail chain in Lusail. How do we order?

Send SmartRooms Qatar your list of sites, the number of 43-inch units and the wall types, and we will prepare one quotation for the set. We accept purchase orders, and payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. We deliver to all 8 municipalities of Qatar, and a free site survey helps confirm the mounting and power points at each location.
