Overview

The Panasonic TY-ST65PE8 is a pedestal stand for professional displays, letting a compatible screen stand on the floor without wall fixing. The manufacturer data for this model is brief, so SmartRooms Qatar checks fit against your exact display before quoting. It suits lobbies, reception areas and meeting spaces across Doha and other Qatari cities where wall mounting is not practical. Request a quote and the team will confirm the remaining details.

What the Panasonic TY-ST65PE8 pedestal is

The Panasonic TY-ST65PE8 is a pedestal, a freestanding support that holds a professional display on the floor without a wall fixing. It is listed in Panasonic's accessories range, so it is normally quoted alongside the display it will support rather than bought as a standalone item. A pedestal is useful where drilling into a wall is not permitted, where the wall cannot carry the load, or where the screen needs to move between rooms.

Checking fit before you order

The manufacturer data for this model is brief. It confirms that the item is a pedestal for professional displays and that it is a current product, but it does not list a supported size range, weight capacity, height adjustment, colour or materials. Those details matter before you buy, so the SmartRooms Qatar team will check them against your exact display model. Have the display's model number, screen size and weight ready when you request a quote.

Where a freestanding pedestal suits in Qatar

A hotel in Lusail may want a display near its reception desk, where a wall fixing would clash with the interior design or the building finishes. A private school in Al Wakrah setting up a corridor screen for announcements may face a building owner who does not allow wall drilling, and a pedestal avoids that issue. An events team in the Industrial Area may need to move a display between halls. In every case, confirm the environment first: the source data does not state an operating temperature range, so ask before placing a display where it will face heat or dust.

Planning the installation

A freestanding display is harder to position than a wall-mounted one, so plan the route from the delivery point to the final spot and check that the floor is level and can take the combined weight. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys, which is a practical step on multi-room projects. Professional installation can be arranged with the quotation. Cable routing, power points and the final position should be agreed before the pedestal arrives. Qatar mains power is 240 V, 50 Hz with BS 1363 (Type G) sockets, so confirm that your display's power requirements match the room before installation.

Ordering from SmartRooms Qatar

Every product is supplied by quotation. Government ministries, authorities and other public bodies can issue a purchase order (LPO) or respond to a government tender, including through Monaqasat. Questions about TY-ST65PE8

What is the Panasonic TY-ST65PE8?

The Panasonic TY-ST65PE8 is a pedestal for professional displays, a freestanding stand that holds a compatible screen off the wall. It is listed as a current accessory in Panasonic's range, so it is quoted together with the display it will support. The manufacturer data is brief and does not list dimensions, weight capacity or materials, so SmartRooms Qatar confirms those details before you order. Request a quote to start that check.

Which display sizes does the TY-ST65PE8 support?

The manufacturer data does not state a supported screen size range or weight limit for this pedestal. The SmartRooms Qatar team will therefore confirm fit against your exact display model before you order. Send the model number, screen size and weight of each panel, particularly if you are ordering several units for a school or office where all screens must match.

Do I need to buy the display separately?

Yes. The TY-ST65PE8 sits in the Accessories series, so it supports a display rather than working as a screen on its own. Choose the panel first, then confirm with SmartRooms Qatar that the pedestal matches its size, weight and mounting arrangement. Quote both items together so the order arrives as a matched set, and ask for the included items to be listed in the same quotation.

Can I use it in a classroom in Al Wakrah?

It can suit a classroom where a wall fixing is not possible, such as a leased building or a block where the owner restricts drilling. Check that the room has floor space for a freestanding stand and a clear route for trolleys and pupils. Confirm the display's own power and connection needs against the 240 V, 50 Hz BS 1363 sockets in the room, then ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm fit before ordering.

Is it suitable for outdoor or window-facing areas in Qatar?

The manufacturer data does not give an operating temperature range or an indoor or outdoor rating for this pedestal, so do not assume it is suited to outdoor use or to hot spaces. Summer temperatures in Qatar can exceed 45 degrees Celsius, and dust storms are common. Describe the exact location to SmartRooms Qatar and ask for written confirmation of the environment before you place an order.

Is a site survey needed before installing a pedestal display?

A site survey is useful, and SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys. For a freestanding display in a hotel lobby in Lusail, the team can check floor level, the delivery route, clearance around the stand and the nearest power outlet. Measuring these points before the pedestal arrives avoids repositioning a heavy display on installation day.

Can a government ministry buy this through an LPO or tender?

Yes. SmartRooms Qatar supplies on purchase orders (LPOs) and responds to government tenders, including those issued through Monaqasat. Send the tender reference or LPO requirements with your quote request so the quotation matches your paperwork. Payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order, depending on your procurement process.

Does the pedestal include mounting hardware?

The manufacturer data does not list the parts supplied in the box. Ask SmartRooms Qatar to state the included items in the quotation so you can compare them with your display's mounting requirements. For a multi-unit order, such as several classrooms, check that each pedestal arrives with the same parts and list any extra fixings you need in the quote request.

What warranty applies to the TY-ST65PE8?

Products supplied by SmartRooms Qatar are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The manufacturer data for this pedestal does not state the warranty period or its terms, so the team will confirm the terms that apply to this model in the quotation. Ask for them in writing before you approve a purchase order, particularly for a multi-site rollout.

Can the pedestal be moved between rooms?

Yes, a freestanding stand is designed to let a display be repositioned without fixing it to a wall, which suits shared rooms, training areas and event spaces. Moving a display safely depends on its weight and on the floor surface, so confirm the combined weight of the display and stand with SmartRooms Qatar. Plan the route and allow two people for lifting.

How does a pedestal compare with a wall mount for a meeting room?

A pedestal avoids wall drilling and lets you reposition the display, but it takes floor space and needs a stable, level base. A wall mount keeps the floor clear but requires a wall that can take the load and suitable fixings. The manufacturer data does not compare the two, so choose after a site survey and a fit check with SmartRooms Qatar.

Will it work with displays from other brands?

The manufacturer data describes the pedestal as suitable for professional displays but does not name compatible models. Send your display's exact model number to SmartRooms Qatar and ask for compatibility to be confirmed in writing before ordering. This matters if your site already uses displays from another brand and you want one stand to serve them all.
