55BDL3650Q/00

A 55-inch 4K screen with its own Android player

The 55BDL3650Q is a 55-inch signage display with a 3840 x 2160 panel and a 54.6-inch diagonal picture area. Content plays from an internal Android 10 player, so a welcome loop or wayfinding slide runs without a separate PC. The player pairs a quad-core Cortex A55 processor and G52 MC1 graphics with 16 GB of memory and 3 GB DDR.

The panel lists a 1300:1 typical contrast ratio, 500,000:1 dynamic contrast, 1.07 billion display colours and a 9 ms typical response time. Its 178-degree viewing angles keep text readable for people standing well to the side of the screen.

Bezel, orientation and video wall planning

The set can be placed in landscape or portrait, which suits vertical menu boards and directional signs. Its even bezel measures 13.9 mm, so a row of screens shows a narrower seam. Tiled matrices up to 3 x 3 are supported for lobby or retail video walls.

Brightness is rated at 400 cd/m², which suits indoor rooms with ordinary lighting. Rooms with large windows facing the afternoon sun need a careful position, and a site check before ordering is worth the time.

Connecting sources and controlling the screen

Video inputs include two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DVI-I port, two USB 2.0 ports and a USB 3.0 port. Audio arrives through a 3.5 mm input, and two 10 W RMS built-in speakers cover short announcements in small rooms. A micro SD slot and USB playback of JPEG, PNG, MP4, H.265 and other listed formats give staff several ways to load content.

For control, the set offers RJ45 network control, plus RS232C and IR connections that loop through to the next display. Keyboard controls and the remote signal can be locked, which stops visitors or students changing settings. The on-screen menu includes Arabic, English and several other languages.

Where it fits in Qatar

Three realistic places for this model:

• A clinic in Msheireb running a queue and health-information loop in its waiting room, away from direct sun.
• A serviced apartment lobby in Lusail showing arrival information and building notices in air-conditioned space.
• A private school in Al Wakrah fitting corridor screens with timetables and announcements, using portrait orientation at stair landings.

Planning the mount, power and environment

At 16.6 kg and 1241.8 x 712.6 x 63.6 mm, the set needs a secure wall fixing on a 400 mm x 400 mm M6 mount pattern. Confirm the wall structure before drilling and plan cable routes to the power point and source device. Mains input is 100 to 240 VAC, typical consumption is 111 W and standby draw is below 0.5 W.

The operating range is 0 to 40 °C at 20 to 80% relative humidity, non-condensing, up to 3000 m altitude, so plan an indoor, air-conditioned location. The box includes an AC power cord, remote control with AAA batteries, IR sensor cable, RS232 cables and wire clamps. The manufacturer warranty is 3 years.
