The Samsung DB49J is a 49-inch Full HD signage display designed to run content for long daily schedules. Its 1,920 x 1,080 direct LED panel, rated at 60Hz, shows announcements, wayfinding maps, menus and promotional loops on a screen that stays readable in bright rooms. Unlike interactive panels, it is a viewing display built to present content to an audience rather than take touch input.
Specifications that matter for signage
Typical brightness is rated at 300 and contrast at 3000:1, with MEGA DCR dynamic contrast. The anti-glare screen, with 2% glass haze, reduces reflections from ceiling lights and windows, which matters in reception areas with glazed frontages. Viewing angles of 178 degrees horizontal and vertical keep text visible to people standing to the side. The 8ms response time handles moving content, and the 72% colour gamut describes the panel's colour reproduction.
Content playback without a separate PC
An embedded media player running Tizen 3.0 with MagicInfo Player S5 schedules and plays content directly on the display. Two HDMI inputs, one USB port, an audio input, a stereo mini-jack audio output, RS232 in and out, an RJ45 input and Wi-Fi give you several ways to feed or control the screen.
