What the QE82N delivers on an 82-inch UHD panel
The QE82N is an 82-inch UHD signage display with a 3,840 x 2,160 panel, made for lobbies, corridors, reception areas and meeting spaces where messages run for many hours a day. Its 300-nit typical brightness and 5,000:1 contrast ratio suit indoor, air-conditioned rooms, while 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles keep text readable from the side of a room as well as from the front.
The panel is bezel-less on three sides, so a single screen sits cleanly against a wall or can be placed beside others without a thick frame breaking up the image. The glossy frame gives a sleek look in reception areas. Glass haze is listed at 2.3%, the colour gamut at 72%, and the typical response time at 6 ms, which helps with moving graphics and video.
Connectivity and built-in playback
Two HDMI inputs and one DVI-D input accept a media player, laptop or AV source. Two USB ports, an RJ45 network input and built-in WiFi support networked content management. RS232 input and output let a room controller or building system switch and control the display. DisplayPort, HDBaseT and Bluetooth are not provided, so check your source devices before ordering.
An embedded MagicINFO Player S6 runs on the display, using Samsung's Tizen operating system, so scheduled content can play without a separate media box. Samsung's KNOX platform adds three layers of protection and controls USB and network use, which helps IT teams that manage screens centrally. Daisy-chain video wall support is not available on this model.
Where the QE82N fits in Qatar
- Hotel lobbies in West Bay or Lusail can show welcome messages, event schedules and local information in Arabic and English.
- Ministry or authority reception areas in Doha can display queue information, service directories and announcements through the Sunday to Thursday working week.
- Private school or training centre corridors in Al Sadd or Education City can share timetables, campus news and wayfinding for visitors.
What to plan before installation
At 44.4 kg and 1830.0 x 1054.0 x 60.9 mm, the panel needs a wall or structure rated for its weight. It uses a 600 x 400 mm VESA pattern, and the WMN8000SXK wall mount is listed as an optional accessory. A free site survey from SmartRooms Qatar lets our engineers check wall construction, cable routes and outlet positions before mounting.
The operating range is 0 to 40°C at 10 to 80% humidity, non-condensing. Qatar summer temperatures can exceed 45°C, so install the QE82N in an air-conditioned room, away from direct sunlight and from window areas exposed to dust storms. Power consumption is 325 W in on mode and 0.5 W in sleep mode, on AC 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz, which covers Qatar's 240 V supply.
