What the QH65R offers on a 65-inch panel

The Samsung QH65R is a 65-inch member of the QHR series of commercial signage displays. Its 3,840 x 2,160 UHD panel has a typical brightness of 700 nit and a 4,000:1 contrast ratio. Colour coverage is rated at 92% of DCI-P3, and viewing angles reach 178 degrees both horizontally and vertically, so messages stay readable from the side of a corridor.

UHD upscaling improves lower-resolution material, such as older promotional clips or standard-definition feeds, before it reaches the screen. Dynamic Crystal Color applies 10-bit processing to widen the range of shades, and the manufacturer describes an HDR+ function for standard-definition content. These features keep a mixed playlist looking consistent.

Connections, control and networking

The QH65R offers two HDMI inputs, one DVI input, a DisplayPort input, two USB ports and an audio input with a stereo mini-jack output. For control it provides RS232 in and out, an RJ45 input and an IR input. WiFi and Bluetooth are built in, and the internal MagicInfo player supports daisy-chained video wall setups. There is no HDBaseT input and no RJ45 output, so plan cable routes around the HDMI, DisplayPort and network connections.

Where it fits across Qatar

A 65-inch screen works best where viewers are within a few metres of it. Typical placements include:

The set measures 1453.9 x 831 x 46.3 mm and weighs 26.6 kg; the package weighs 34 kg. It uses a 400 x 400 mm VESA pattern, and the optional WMN4277SE wall mount is listed for it. No stand is included. Bezels are 9.2 mm on the top and sides and 11.2 mm at the bottom, which matters when panels form a video wall. Power draw is 204 W in operation and 0.5 W in sleep mode, on a 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz supply.

Operating temperature is 0 to 40 °C, with humidity of 10 to 80%, non-condensing. Qatar summers often pass 45 °C, so keep the display inside an air-conditioned building rather than an unconditioned entrance, covered outdoor area or store room. The IP5x rating protects against dust, but it does not replace a controlled indoor environment. Because the panel is heavy, a free site survey before wall mounting helps confirm wall construction and cable routing.
