QM43B

What the Samsung QM43B is built to do

The QM43B is a 43-inch display from Samsung's QMB range of 4K signage screens. It uses a VA panel with a 3,840 x 2,160 resolution and is rated for 24/7 operation, so it suits menu boards, wayfinding screens and information points that stay on through long opening hours. Power draw is 110 W in on-mode and 0.5 W in sleep mode, and the set carries an energy efficiency class B rating.

Picture and processing details that matter on the wall

With 500 nit typical brightness and a 4,000:1 contrast ratio, the screen performs well in indoor corridors, lobbies and retail units where lighting is controlled. Its 92% DCI-P3 colour gamut and 25% glass haze support accurate colour and reduced reflections, and the 178/178 degree viewing angle keeps text readable for people standing to the side. The Quantum Processor 4K upscales lower-resolution video to UHD quality, so older clips and mixed-source content look sharper on the panel.

Connections for mixed AV and signage setups

The rear panel offers three HDMI 2 inputs with HDCP 2.2 support, one DisplayPort 1.2 input, two USB ports, an RJ45 network input, RS232 in and out, and an IR input. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are built in. Audio is output only, through a stereo mini jack, and there is no audio input. Tizen 6.5 runs the internal system with 16 GB of flash memory. Ports such as RS232 and RJ45 are commonly used to link a display to a control system or network, which helps IT teams manage several screens from one place.

Mounting, space and power planning in Qatar

The set measures 967.5 x 557.7 x 48.3 mm and weighs 10 kg, with 9.2 mm bezels on the top, left and right and an 11.2 mm bottom bezel. It supports a 200 x 200 mm VESA pattern, and its terminals face outwards so the display can sit flush against a wall. Samsung lists the WMN4070SG wall mount and STN-L4355G stand as optional accessories for this model. The power supply accepts 100 to 240 V at 50/60 Hz, which covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz mains.

Operating conditions are 0 to 40 °C with 10 to 80% humidity, non-condensing. Qatar summers regularly exceed 45 °C, so the screen should be installed in an air-conditioned room, away from direct sunlight and large glass windows. If a site is unusual, confirm the environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before ordering.
