QM50C

What the Samsung QM50C is built for

The QM50C is a 50-inch model from the Crystal UHD Signage QMC series, made for organisations that need a wall display running content for many hours a day. It uses a 3,840 x 2,160 IPS panel with a 0.285 mm pixel pitch, so small text and fine graphics stay sharp at close range. The 500 nit typical brightness and 178/178 degree viewing angles keep the picture readable for people standing at the side of a room.

Slim housing, even bezels and centred mounting

At 28.5 mm deep and 11.8 kg, the QM50C sits close to the wall and needs less clearance than a bulkier display. The 11.5 mm bezels are the same width on all four sides, which keeps a multi-screen wall or a portrait-mode menu board visually consistent. The 200 x 200 mm VESA pattern is centred on the rear, so the weight is balanced and the panel does not tilt when rotated to portrait. Samsung lists the WMN-B50SC wall mount and the STN-L4355C stand as optional accessories for this model.

Connectivity, software and control

• Video inputs: three HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.2 input and HDCP 2.2 support.
• Control and network: RS232 in and out, an IR input and an RJ45 network port.
• Wireless and USB: built-in WiFi and Bluetooth, plus two USB ports.
• Audio: a stereo mini jack output. The panel has no audio input.

The QM50C runs Tizen 7.0 with 16 GB of flash memory. SmartView+ allows wireless screen sharing, so a meeting admin can switch between shared screens with one click. Smart Calibration, managed from the Samsung mobile app, helps keep brand logos and colours consistent across screens. Samsung VXT CMS, a cloud-based content and device management platform, is available for remote management but must be purchased separately.

Where it fits in Qatar

In a corporate lobby in West Bay or Msheireb, the QM50C can show visitor greetings, room bookings and wayfinding, and its 24/7 operation rating suits a building that runs round the clock. A private school in Al Wakrah fitting out its corridors could use the panel for timetables and announcements, while a clinic in Al Rayyan could show queue information in its waiting area.

Environment, power and planning

The rated operating temperature is 0 to 40 °C, with humidity of 10 to 80 % non-condensing. Qatar summers regularly pass 45 °C, so install the QM50C in an air-conditioned room and keep it out of direct sunlight, especially near windows or glass frontages. The power input is AC100-240 V at 50/60 Hz, typical on-mode consumption is 132 W and sleep mode draws 0.5 W. It carries an energy efficiency rating of A. The package measures 1246 x 761 x 131 mm and weighs 14.9 kg, so plan the delivery route and a two-person lift.
