QM65C

What the Samsung QM65C is built for

The Samsung QM65C is a 65-inch Crystal UHD signage display designed for organisations that need a professional screen to run content for long periods. It combines a 3,840 x 2,160 VA panel, 500 nit typical brightness and a 4,000:1 contrast ratio with a 24/7 operation rating, so it can present information in reception areas, corridors and waiting rooms throughout the working day and beyond.

Video handling is provided by a Quantum Processor Lite 4K, which upscales lower-resolution content to UHD so that signage, menus and schedules keep their sharpness on a large panel.

Depth, bezel and mounting geometry

At 28.5 mm deep, with a set size of 1456.8 x 831.9 mm and a weight of 21.5 kg, the QM65C sits close to the wall. The 11.5 mm bezel is the same on all four sides, which keeps a portrait layout looking balanced. The VESA pattern is 400 x 300 mm and is centred on the back of the panel, which spreads the load evenly and reduces the risk of the screen tilting when it is rotated to portrait. The source lists a WMN-B50SC mount and an STN-L6585C stand as optional accessories.

Connectivity, control and content

• Video inputs: three HDMI inputs (version 2, HDCP 2.2) and one DisplayPort 1.2 input.
• Network and control: RJ45, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, plus RS232 in and out and an IR input for external control.
• Other ports: two USB ports, a stereo mini jack audio output, Tizen 7.0 and 16GB of flash memory.

SmartView+ supports wireless screen sharing, so a presenter can start sharing at the beginning of a meeting without a cable. Smart Calibration uses the Samsung mobile app to calibrate each display so that brand logos appear in the exact colours required. Samsung VXT CMS is a cloud-based tool for content management and remote device management and is sold separately.

Where it fits in Qatar

In a hotel lobby in West Bay, a wall-mounted QM65C can show arrival information and local guides on a screen that stays on around the clock. A private school in Al Wakrah fitting out a new corridor could use portrait-mode panels for timetables and notices. A retail brand in The Pearl could keep its logos and promotions in identical colours across every store. In a meeting room in Msheireb, wireless sharing lets visitors connect without searching for cables.

What to plan before ordering

The operating range is 0 to 40°C with 10 to 80% humidity, non-condensing, so the QM65C should be installed in air-conditioned indoor spaces. Summer temperatures in Qatar can exceed 45°C outdoors, so check the position of any screen near windows, entrances or glass frontages. The 21.5 kg weight and the wall loading should be confirmed on site, and SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey before wall-mounting. The listed power input is AC 100 to 240 V at 50/60 Hz, with 187 W in on mode and 0.5 W in sleep mode. Schools, ministries and companies ordering several units can use a purchase order (LPO) or a government tender, and SmartRooms Qatar will confirm the lead time, based on stock, with the quotation.
