What the SM32HX-P is

The Samsung SM32HX-P is a 32-inch display from the Spatial Signage range, built to show 3D-style content that stands out from flat digital signage. It is sold under the SM32HX-P series, with the variant code LH32SMHPBGCXUE. Its 436.8 x 742.3 x 49.4 mm body and 8.5 kg set weight make it a compact option for shop floors, lobbies and reception areas where a larger screen would take up too much room.

Display facts that matter on site

The panel is a VA type with a 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution and 178 / 178 viewing angles. Typical brightness is 500 nit and the contrast ratio is rated at 4,000:1. The anti-glare finish, with 25% glass haze, reduces reflections from ceiling lights and daylight, so content stays readable in busy retail spaces. The response time is rated at 8 (GTG) and colour coverage is 72% NTSC. The display is rated for 24/7 operation.

The built-in Quantum Processor upscales lower-resolution video toward UHD quality, which helps when older clips or mixed-format playlists are reused across screens.

Where it fits in Qatar

A boutique in Msheireb: a compact unit beside the entrance can loop promotional visuals for passers-by, with the anti-glare panel helping where interior lights and daylight meet.
A hotel reception in West Bay: a 32-inch screen can present directions, guest information and branded visuals without dominating the desk area.
A school entrance in Al Wakrah or a campus corridor in Education City: wayfinding and announcements can run through the working day, with content changed centrally when schedules shift.

Connectivity and content management

Three HDMI 2 inputs and one DisplayPort 1.2 input accept media players, laptops and PCs. The set also offers RS232 in and out, RJ45, an IR input, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, two USB ports and a stereo mini jack audio output. It runs Tizen 7.0 with 16GB of flash memory. Samsung VXT, a cloud-based content and device management platform, is sold separately, as are SmartThings Pro and the AI Studio tool for generating 3D-style video. Availability of these may vary by region, so confirm what is needed before ordering.

Planning the installation

The data gives an operating range of 0 to 40 degrees C and 10 to 80% humidity, non-condensing. Summer temperatures in Qatar regularly exceed 45 degrees C, so the screen should sit in an air-conditioned indoor location rather than on an open terrace or in a sunlit glazed frontage. Mounting uses a 100 x 100 mm VESA pattern, and the 10.5 kg packaged weight means two people should handle the unit. Power is AC 100 to 240 V at 50/60 Hz, drawing 100 W on and 0.5 W in sleep mode. SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey to check wall structure, position and power before fixing.

Questions about SM32HX-P

What is the Samsung SM32HX-P designed for?

The SM32HX-P is a 32-inch Spatial Signage display for showing 3D-style promotional and branded content where people pause and look. It suits a boutique in Msheireb, a hotel reception in West Bay or a corporate lobby in Lusail where a compact screen needs to attract attention. Its Full HD panel and 24/7 operation rating make it practical for content that runs through the working day.

How does the virtual 3D effect work?

The manufacturer uses patented 3D plate technology so suitable content appears to come forward toward the viewer rather than sitting flat behind the glass. Content should be prepared for this format. AI Studio, which turns uploaded images and a written prompt into 3D-style video, is a separate purchase within Samsung VXT. Test the effect on site with your own material before committing to a number of units.

Can it be installed near windows or outdoors in Qatar?

The data gives an operating range of 0 to 40 degrees C, which is below Qatar summer temperatures that often exceed 45 degrees C. Plan for an air-conditioned indoor location, away from direct sun through glazing. The anti-glare panel with 25% haze reduces reflections from daylight, but it does not change the temperature rating. A SmartRooms Qatar site survey can check position before installation.

What inputs and ports does it have?

The display has three HDMI inputs (HDMI version 2), one DisplayPort 1.2 input, two USB ports, RS232 in and out, RJ45, an IR input and a stereo mini jack audio output. It also includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The data lists no audio input, so plan external audio sources accordingly. HDCP 2.2 is supported on the HDMI connections, which matters for protected media.

Do I need to buy Samsung VXT, SmartThings Pro or AI Studio separately?

Yes. Samsung VXT is a cloud-based platform for content management and remote device management, including hardware settings and troubleshooting. SmartThings Pro connects the signage to lighting, appliances and building systems through one platform. AI Studio generates 3D-style video and is embedded in VXT. All three are sold separately, and availability may vary by region, so confirm them with your quotation.

What power does the SM32HX-P need?

It accepts AC 100 to 240 V at 50/60 Hz, which covers Qatar mains supply of 240 V at 50 Hz. It draws 100 W in on mode and 0.5 W in sleep mode, and its energy efficiency class is C. For a school or hotel fitting out several units, multiply the on-mode figure by the number of screens to estimate the load on each circuit, and confirm the circuit plan during the site survey.

How is it mounted, and how heavy is it?

It uses a 100 x 100 mm VESA mounting pattern. The set measures 436.8 x 742.3 x 49.4 mm and weighs 8.5 kg, with a packaged weight of 10.5 kg. The slim depth helps it sit close to a wall. Because the screen is heavy and mounted at head height, have the wall structure and fixings checked during the free site survey before the unit is delivered and fixed.

Is it suitable for a school entrance or a university corridor?

Yes, for wayfinding, event announcements and visitor information. A school in Al Wakrah or a campus corridor in Education City can run schedules and notices through the working day, with content changed centrally when timetables shift. Position the screen where glare from corridor windows is limited, since the anti-glare finish helps but cannot remove strong direct sunlight. Ask for a quotation based on your entrance layout.

What content formats and resolution should I plan for?

The panel has a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080. Content should be produced at that resolution to appear sharp. The built-in Quantum Processor upscales lower-resolution video toward UHD, which helps with older footage, though viewing experience can vary with content type and format. Send your media player's output settings with your quote request so the team can confirm compatibility.

How many units should a mall corridor in Lusail use?

The answer depends on corridor length, viewing distance and ambient light. The 178 / 178 viewing angles and 500 nit typical brightness help screens remain visible from the side, but very bright atrium areas may need a site check. Share the floor plan, sightlines and content goals with SmartRooms Qatar. A free site survey will confirm placement, mounting heights and power points before a quotation is issued.

How can a government entity or company buy this through SmartRooms Qatar?

SmartRooms Qatar accepts purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including Monaqasat, and supports payment by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Delivery covers all 8 municipalities of Qatar, and professional installation is available. Quotations are usually issued within one working day. Send your quantity, delivery location and procurement requirements to start the process.
