What the CN6501-1C delivers in a room

The ViewSonic CN6501-1C is a 65-inch presentation display with a 3840 x 2160 native resolution, four times the pixel count of Full HD. Its 16:9 TFT LCD panel uses a DLED backlight rated for 50,000 hours and gives 520 nits typical brightness with a 5000:1 contrast ratio. That brightness keeps slides and spreadsheets legible in rooms with daylight from windows, while the anti-glare surface with 25% haze reduces reflections from ceiling lights.

Viewing angles of 178 degrees horizontally and vertically mean people seated at the sides of a boardroom or at the back of a training room all see a clear image. The 6.5ms response time suits presentations, video calls and scheduled video playback.

Landscape and portrait from one panel

The display can be installed in landscape for presentations, video conferencing and meeting-room walls, or in portrait for vertical menus, wayfinding and information columns. Portrait mode suits a hospital corridor in Al Rayyan or a retail entrance in a Doha mall, where a tall, narrow screen fits the space better than a wide one. The built-in Android 14 signage player runs scheduled content, supports multiple content formats and plays back without interruption, so a reception screen can loop announcements without a separate media PC.

Connections for meetings and signage

Two HDMI 2.1 inputs with HDCP 2.2 accept laptops, media players and cable boxes. The USB-C port carries DisplayPort 1.2 video, USB 2.0 data and up to 15W of power delivery, so a compatible laptop can show its screen and charge over a single cable. Two USB Type-A 2.0 ports, an RJ45 LAN port, and RS-232 and IR pass-through connections allow the screen to sit inside a managed room system. For wireless presenting, AirPlay, Miracast and Chromecast let staff share from phones and laptops without a cable, which suits meeting rooms where visitors bring their own devices.

Where it fits across Qatar

• Boardroom in West Bay: one panel shows the presenter's laptop and a video call with a team abroad, with wireless casting for guests.
• Private school in Al Wakrah: a 65-inch screen suits a standard classroom, and the two 10W speakers provide built-in audio for lessons.
• Clinic reception in Msheireb: a portrait-mounted panel loops appointment information and wayfinding during opening hours.

Planning the installation

Confirm the wall before ordering. The VESA pattern is 500 x 500, and the net weight is 17.7 kg (27.4 kg gross when packed), so the wall and mounting hardware must be suited to that load. SmartRooms Qatar provides free site surveys, which check wall construction, cable routes and the distance to a power outlet before the panel is fixed. Physical dimensions are 1457.7 x 832.4 x 68.8 mm, so allow clearance around the panel for airflow. The box includes a wall mount with four screws, two 2 m power cables, a remote control with batteries, a quick start guide and a compliance statement.

The operating range is 0 to 40°C with 20% to 80% relative humidity, and the display is listed for 7/24 operation. Summer temperatures in Qatar regularly pass 45°C, so install it indoors in an air-conditioned space and keep the rear vents clear. The power input is 100-240V AC plus or minus 10%, consuming 180W when on and under 0.5W in standby. Regulatory approvals listed are BIS and WPC.
