Clevertouch Edge 86"

An 86-inch 4K panel sized for large rooms

The Clevertouch Edge 86-inch is a 4K UHD interactive flat panel running at 3840 x 2160 resolution and 60Hz. Its direct LED backlit LCD delivers 500 cd/m2 brightness, a 4000:1 contrast ratio and 6000:1 dynamic contrast, with a 178° viewing angle so people seated well to the side can still read the screen.

The front is 3mm anti-glare, anti-smudge tempered glass rated Mohs level 7, with an antibacterial surface. The low-parallax construction with a 0 mm air gap keeps the writing surface close to the displayed image, and the fanless design runs without fan noise in a quiet room.

Writing, touch and the top-mounted camera

Touch uses Flat Frog InGlass IR technology with 40 continuous touch points, touch accuracy below 1mm and a 2mm minimum object size. Two pens are included. Palm rejection and pen-and-touch differentiation let a presenter rest a hand on the glass while writing, and annotation works over any source on Windows, Linux, Mac, Android and Chrome.

The 48 MP Sony camera sits along the top edge with a 90° field of view and a 5 m focus distance. It auto-tracks faces, offers ePTZ framing and supports 4K video with mainstream cloud meeting apps. The eight-microphone array has an 8 m pickup distance and a 180° pickup angle. The manufacturer lists voice tracking as coming soon.

Ports, wireless and the built-in Android platform

• Video inputs: three HDMI inputs and one DisplayPort input
• USB-C: a front port carrying video, audio, touch and 6E networking with 100W charging, plus side and output ports
• Wireless: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 and integrated NFC
• Control and network: RJ45 LAN in and out, RS-232 and Wake-on-LAN
• Expansion: one Intel-spec 80-pin OPS slot for an optional PC module

The Android platform has 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It gives access to Google Play, Microsoft and Google Cloud apps, and to video conferencing apps such as MS Teams, Google Meet and Zoom, which the manufacturer lists as certified. You can also switch between Android and PC mode, or turn Android off and use the panel as a PC display.

Planning the install: weight, mounting and power

At 1979 x 1202 x 85mm the panel weighs 68.85kg net. The packed carton measures 2138 x 255 x 1328mm and weighs 85.30kg gross, so check doorways, lift sizes and the route to the room before delivery. The VESA pattern is 800 x 600mm, so the wall bracket must match that spacing. A free site survey lets the SmartRooms Qatar team check wall construction and mounting height before installation.

The power input is rated 100-240V at 50/60Hz, a range that covers Qatar's 240V supply. Typical consumption is 160.68W and standby draw is 0.5W or less. The operating range is 0 to 40°C, while Qatar summer temperatures can exceed 45°C outdoors. Keep the room air-conditioned and avoid placing the panel where afternoon sun falls directly on the glass.

Where it fits in Qatar

• A boardroom in West Bay or Msheireb, where executives join calls with teams abroad and need a large, readable screen for shared documents.
• A lecture hall or seminar room on a campus in Education City, where lecturers annotate slides and students at the back can read the work.
• A government authority meeting room in Doha, where one panel can take the place of a separate camera, speaker and display set-up.

To request a quote, tell SmartRooms Qatar your room size, wall type, number of units and how you plan to connect laptops. Quotations usually come within one working day. We deliver to all eight municipalities of Qatar, provide professional installation, and accept purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders. Payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order, and the panel is covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
