What this OPS module is and how it works

The Hikvision DS-D5AC13G7-16S5 is an OPS module, a self-contained computer built to sit inside the OPS slot of a compatible Hikvision interactive panel. Once installed, the panel runs the module's operating system directly, so teachers and presenters do not need a separate desktop PC on the desk or a cable running from a laptop. It is a practical choice when a room needs a dedicated, always-ready computer behind the screen.

Processor, memory and storage for daily use

At its core is an Intel Core i7-13620H processor from the 13th Gen family, with 10 cores and 16 threads. The base clock is 2.4 GHz and the turbo clock reaches 4.9 GHz, giving headroom for presentation software, web conferencing clients and multi-window work. The module ships with 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage, and its M.2 NVMe system disk supports a quick start. Graphics come from Intel UHD Graphics, which the product's feature list states supports 4K resolution.

Ports, wireless and connectivity

Review these connections before planning the cabling in each room.

• Four USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports for keyboards, microphones, cameras and storage
• One HDMI port (HDMI 1.4) and one DisplayPort (1.2) for external display output
• One USB Type-C port and one RJ45 port supporting 10/100/1000 Mbps
• One audio input and one audio output
• Wi-Fi 6 supporting IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth 5.2 and two antennas

Where it fits in Qatar

A private school in Al Wakrah equipping new classrooms with interactive panels can fit one module per panel, keeping each room's computer inside the display itself. In a boardroom in West Bay, the module lets a ministry or company run video calls and shared documents from the panel, with Wi-Fi 6 or the wired Ethernet port giving two ways to get online. A training centre in Education City can use the same setup for workshops where staff move between rooms.

Planning the installation and operating conditions

The module is rated for an operating temperature of 0°C to 40°C and 10% to 90% humidity, with a storage range of -20°C to 70°C. Summer heat in Qatar can push temperatures well above 45°C, so the panel should be installed in an air-conditioned room with airflow around the module. Input power is 12V to 19V DC, with maximum consumption of 90W and standby consumption of 0.5W; confirm how the module is powered through the panel's OPS slot before ordering. Each module measures 195 × 30 × 180 mm and is supplied in a single-module carton or a five-module carton, which helps when planning stock for several rooms.
