Overview

The Dahua LDV43-SAI400TL is a 43-inch indoor floor-standing touch display built for portrait digital signage. Its 2160 by 3840 panel shows 10-bit colour with 178-degree viewing angles, and a quad-core Android 11 system decodes video up to 4K. Gigabit Ethernet, an HDMI 2.1 input and two 5 W speakers suit hospital reception areas, university foyers and corporate lobbies across Doha and Lusail.

A portrait touch display for indoor wayfinding and content

The Dahua LDV43-SAI400TL is a 43-inch display designed for portrait orientation, with a 9:16 panel that suits tall, narrow spaces such as corridors, lift lobbies and entrance foyers. Its 2160 by 3840 resolution keeps text and motion sharp, and the capacitive touchscreen accepts up to 10 touch points, so visitors can browse directory maps or booking screens without a separate keyboard.

The specifications that matter for a signage deployment

The panel uses IPS/VA technology with ELED backlighting, rated at 320 cd/m² typical brightness. Its surface treatment carries a 25% haze rating, which helps reduce reflections from nearby lights. Colour depth is 10-bit (8-bit plus FRC), giving 1.07 billion colours, and viewing angles reach 178 degrees horizontally and vertically, so content stays readable for people approaching from the side of a busy corridor.

Inside the unit, a quad-core A55 processor running at 1.92 GHz, 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage run Android 11.0. The display decodes H.265 and VP9 video up to 2160p at 60 fps and H.264 up to 2160p at 30 fps, and it plays mp4, avi, mov, mkv and wmv files.

Connectivity and remote control

One RJ-45 port for 10/100/1,000 Mbps Ethernet
Wi-Fi available as an optional external module
HDMI 2.1 input at 3840 × 2160 and 60 Hz
USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 Type A ports plus a TF card slot up to 128 GB
3.5 mm audio output and an IR receiver for the supplied remote

The unit uses a browser and server (B/S) architecture to manage programmes by time and location and to produce operation reports. Multi-level approval applies before content goes live, transmissions are encrypted, and each terminal can be password protected. Split-screen layouts can be adjusted freely to combine video, text and images on one panel.

Where it fits in Qatar

Hospital or clinic reception in Doha: portrait directory and queue information in an indoor lobby, with messages updated centrally by the facilities team.
University building in Education City: timetable and event listings in a foyer, scheduled by location so each building shows its own content.
Hotel or mixed-use development in West Bay or Lusail: a touch wayfinding point where guests and visitors look up services, meeting rooms and amenities.

What to plan before ordering

Without its bracket, the display measures 1,749.4 mm by 592.6 mm by 92.3 mm and weighs 41 kg net (51 kg gross), so plan for at least two people to handle it. With the bracket fitted, the overall size is 1,800.0 mm by 600.0 mm by 460.0 mm. Check corridor width, lift dimensions and the wall or floor base before delivery.

Power draw is 75 W typical and 80 W maximum, with standby consumption of 0.5 W or less. The supply accepts 100 to 240 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz, which covers Qatar's 240 V mains. The rated operating range is 0 to 40 °C with humidity of 10 to 85 percent non-condensing, and the unit should be kept out of direct sunlight, so it is not intended for sun-exposed entrances or outdoor use.

The package includes the bracket, power cord, remote control and user manual. The product carries CE EMC, CE LVD and CE ERP certifications and is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys, so our team can confirm wall or floor positions, cable routes and sunlight exposure before installation. Delivery to all eight municipalities of Qatar, professional installation and payment by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order are available. Questions about LDV43-SAI400TL

What is the Dahua LDV43-SAI400TL designed for?

It is a 43-inch indoor floor-standing digital signage display in portrait orientation, built to show directories, queue information, wayfinding and promotional content. Its 9:16 panel, 2160 by 3840 resolution and touch input suit hospital reception desks, university foyers and corporate lobbies where people walk past and stop to look. A quote from SmartRooms Qatar can cover a single unit or several units for the same building.

Can I use it at a sunny entrance or outdoors in Qatar?

No. The source rates the unit for indoor use with an operating range of 0 to 40 °C and asks that it be kept out of direct sunlight. Qatar summers regularly exceed 45 °C, so an entrance exposed to sun or any outdoor area is not a suitable location. Place it in an indoor lobby or corridor within the rated range, and our team can review the exact position during a free site survey.

Does the touchscreen support several users at once?

Yes. The capacitive touchscreen supports 10 touch points with a response time of 8 ms or less. Several visitors or staff can use directory maps, booking screens or menus at the same time, which helps at busy reception desks in a clinic or a university foyer during peak hours.

Will the screen stay readable in a bright hotel lobby in West Bay?

The panel is rated at 320 cd/m² typical brightness and has a 25% haze surface treatment that reduces reflections. Its 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles let guests read content from the side. Because the unit is rated to avoid direct sunlight, confirm the exact position with SmartRooms Qatar so it is not placed in strong direct daylight.

Can it play 4K video, and which formats are supported?

It decodes H.265 HEVC and VP9 video up to 2160p at 60 fps, and H.264 AVC up to 2160p at 30 fps. Its HDMI 2.1 input accepts 3840 × 2160 at 60 Hz. Supported video containers include mp4, avi, mov, mkv and wmv, and the audio formats listed are MPEG-3, WMA and WAV.

How do facilities teams manage content on several screens across sites?

The unit uses a browser and server (B/S) architecture to schedule programmes by time and location and generate operation reports. Content can be controlled remotely from the platform, and multi-level approval applies before a programme goes live. The source does not list which platform licences are included, so ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm this in your quotation.

Can it be installed in a clinic reception where running cable is difficult?

The standard connection is one RJ-45 port for 10/100/1,000 Mbps self-adaptive Ethernet. Wi-Fi is available only through an optional external module. If the clinic in Al Sadd or Al Rayyan cannot easily run cable to the reception wall, ask for the Wi-Fi module to be included in your quotation and confirm signal coverage during the site survey.

Will it fit a narrow office corridor in West Bay?

Without the bracket the display measures 1,749.4 mm by 592.6 mm by 92.3 mm. With the bracket, the overall size is 1,800.0 mm by 600.0 mm by 460.0 mm, so the bracket adds considerable depth. Measure the corridor and the path to it before ordering, and use the free site survey to check clearances and the wall or floor base.

What power supply does it need in Qatar?

The power supply accepts 100 to 240 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz, which covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz mains. It draws 75 W typically and 80 W at maximum, with standby consumption of 0.5 W or less. A power cord is included, so confirm that the plug supplied matches the BS 1363 (Type G) sockets in your building.

Is it suitable for a school or university ordering several units?

Yes. Schools and universities often order several units under one tender or purchase order. SmartRooms Qatar can quote each unit with its bracket and accessories, and quotations are usually issued within one working day. Purchase orders (LPOs) are accepted, and government tenders, including those on Monaqasat, can be supported.

What certifications and warranty apply to this model?

The unit carries CE EMC, CE LVD and CE ERP certifications, and it is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The source data does not state a warranty length or terms, so ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm the warranty conditions in writing with your quotation.

Can it provide sound for announcements in a large foyer?

It has two built-in 5 W speakers and a 3.5 mm audio output jack. The built-in speakers suit short, quiet messages in a small lobby. For a large foyer or hall with background noise, connect an external sound system to the audio output, and confirm the setup during the site survey.
