What the LG 43TF5Q is built for

The LG 43TF5Q is a 43-inch touch display supplied as an open frame, so it is meant to be housed in a kiosk, enclosure or custom unit rather than sold as a finished monitor. Its touchscreen, display and Android 13 board come as one integrated unit, which lets an integrator shape the housing around the job, whether that is a ticket dispenser, a self-service check-in point or a lobby wayfinding screen.

Panel and touch facts that matter on a public kiosk

The panel is a 3,840 × 2,160 IPS unit with a 16:9 aspect ratio, a 1,200:1 contrast ratio and a 178-degree viewing angle horizontally and vertically. Brightness is rated at 550 nits without tempered glass and 450 nits with it, so the lower figure is the one to plan around once the glass is fitted. The anti-glare treatment has a 25% haze rating and helps reduce reflections in bright areas.

• Touch: up to 10 simultaneous points, objects from Φ10 mm, 3.0 mm typical accuracy and touch-down latency under 35 ms in the manufacturer's test.
• Protection: 3.2 mm tempered front glass with 9H hardness, certified to IK08 under IEC 62262:2002, and rated IP5X.
• Operation: rated for 24/7 use with a minimum lifetime of 50,000 hours.

Where it fits in Qatar

At a bank branch in West Bay, a queue-management kiosk near the entrance has to stay readable against strong light from large windows. The 550-nit rating without glass and the anti-glare coating suit that position, provided the final glass build is checked against the brightness figure.

A government service centre in Msheireb could use the panel in portrait for a wayfinding or appointment screen. The even 30.5 mm bezels keep the frame consistent when rotated, and the head weighs 14.6 kg, so the wall or kiosk mount should be planned for that load.

Summer temperatures in Qatar often exceed 45°C, while the rated operating range here is 0 °C to 40 °C with 10% to 80% humidity. Install the unit in an air-conditioned space. For a sun-exposed or unconditioned site, confirm the environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before the quotation is issued.

What to plan before installation

• The head weighs 14.6 kg and the packed unit weighs 17.7 kg.
• Monitor dimensions are 1002.2 × 590.4 × 56.85 mm including the touch panel, so check the enclosure opening first.
• The VESA pattern is 200 × 200 mm, and the tilt supports up to 30 degrees face up or face down.
• Power input is AC 100 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz with built-in power, with typical consumption of 114.16 W and maximum of 137.34 W.
• Conformal coating covers the power board only, so the housing still has to keep out dust and moisture.

The included accessories are a remote controller with two batteries, a power cord, an HDMI cable and a manual. A free site survey from SmartRooms Qatar helps confirm the mounting position, cable routing and enclosure before a purchase order is raised. Delivery covers all eight municipalities of Qatar.
