What the MCS06 replaces in a meeting room

The MCS06 is a single ceiling unit that houses both the microphone array and the loudspeakers. Its white enclosure measures 597 mm by 597 mm and 72.5 mm deep, and it weighs under 6 kg. A room therefore needs one installation point rather than separate table microphones and wall speakers. The manufacturer rates one unit for meeting rooms up to 60 m², which makes it a practical choice for a single medium room rather than a multi-device system.

Microphone pickup and zone control

Thirty-two MEMS microphones form the pickup array, with a stated effective pickup radius of 6 metres. That reach is what allows the unit to hear someone at the far end of a table as clearly as the person beside it. You can define four independent pickup zones and adjust the location, shape and size of each one. A mute zone isolates interference from equipment areas or from seats occupied by non-participants.

AI processing and speaker output

Built-in ClearSpeakAI processing handles adaptive noise reduction, deep-learning dereverberation, acoustic echo cancellation and beamforming. The data lists AI noise reduction, reverb suppression, echo cancellation and full duplex as supported. It also states that double-talk is handled within 5 metres, so two people speaking at once stay clear on the far end. Maximum background noise suppression is rated at 35 dB.

On the output side, a 4-inch mid-bass driver and a 1-inch tweeter cover 80 Hz to 20 kHz, with a stated sound pressure level of 81 dB at 1 W and 1 m. Full-space acoustic field equalisation is quoted at uniform coverage within ±3 dB, which targets rear and corner blind spots.

Where it fits across Qatar

Because the operating range is 0°C to 40°C, the MCS06 belongs in air-conditioned rooms only. Ceiling voids that heat up, or rooms behind large glazed façades in the Qatari summer, should be checked before installation.

Planning the installation

The manufacturer lists three mounting methods: ceiling mount, suspension mount and pole mount. The package includes four suspension rope sets. The unit is powered and networked over PoE++, so confirm that the switch or injector serving the room supports PoE++ before ordering. The Dante/PoE port connects the unit to the network, and the manufacturer states that units can be cascaded without limit over Dante audio or PoE network cable.
