What this grommet does on a conferencing table

The Biamp 16 mm black grommet is a 10-pack of cable-entry grommets for a 16 mm (5/8 inch) hole. Each piece has a 7 mm inner diameter, so cables pass through a defined opening instead of a raw cut edge. The product is listed for use with the Parlé TTM-X series tabletop mount and is categorised under microphone accessories for video conferencing.

Specifications that matter before you order

Hole size: 16 mm (5/8 inch)
Inner diameter: 7 mm
Pack size: 10 grommets
Item number: 920-00524-20000
Warranty: 5-year manufacturer warranty

Check the cutout in your table or mount against the 16 mm figure first. A hole that differs from 16 mm will not take this grommet correctly, so measure before ordering.

Where it fits in Qatar

In a boardroom in West Bay or Msheireb, a tabletop mount fitted into a new conference table is a typical place for grommets like this, keeping cables neat for hybrid meetings with teams abroad. A government ministry in Doha refitting several meeting rooms can order a pack that covers ten openings and add the line to a single LPO. A training centre in Education City setting up a seminar room can plan the grommets alongside the mount in one quotation.

Questions about 16 mm Black Grommet, 10-Pack

What is this Biamp grommet used for?

It is a black grommet that fits a 16 mm (5/8 inch) hole and has a 7 mm inner diameter, so it sits in a cable opening and gives the edge a finished look. In conferencing setups, grommets like this keep cables tidy where they pass through a table surface. The 10-pack is listed for use with the Parlé TTM-X series tabletop mount. Request a quote if you need quantities matched to your number of tables.

Which Biamp mounts is this grommet compatible with?

The source data lists it for use with the Parlé TTM-X series tabletop mount and no other mounts. SmartRooms Qatar will not confirm compatibility beyond that series without checking. If you plan to use a different tabletop mount, send its model to the team before ordering so they can confirm the hole size and whether the grommet matches. Quotations are usually provided within one working day.

How large is the hole this grommet needs?

It is designed for a 16 mm (5/8 inch) hole, and its inner diameter is 7 mm, which sets the size of the cable opening. Measure the cutout in your table or mount before ordering, using calipers if you have them. A hole that is noticeably larger or smaller than 16 mm will not take this grommet properly, so confirming the dimension first avoids a reorder.

How many grommets come in one order?

Each order is a 10-pack under item number 920-00524-20000. One pack provides ten grommets, which covers ten cable openings. That suits a single boardroom with several mounts, or a set of meeting rooms where each table needs one opening. Spare pieces are useful for future refits. Tell the SmartRooms Qatar team how many openings you need and they will include the correct number of packs in your quotation.

Is the 5-year warranty included?

Yes, the manufacturer lists a 5-year warranty for this grommet, and SmartRooms Qatar supplies it under that manufacturer warranty. The source data does not provide the full warranty terms, so the team cannot describe conditions beyond the 5-year period. If your procurement process needs the written terms, ask for them with your quotation so they can be reviewed before the purchase order is raised.

Can I add these grommets to a Parlé TTM-X mount order for a government meeting room?

Yes. A ministry or authority in Doha fitting out a meeting room can include the grommets on the same quotation as the Parlé TTM-X mount. The purchase order (LPO) can cover both lines together. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Confirm the mount model and quantities with the team when you request the quote so the grommet count matches the number of openings.

Do I need a site survey for an accessory this small?

Not always for the grommet alone, but a site survey is useful when a tabletop mount is being fitted to an existing boardroom table in Msheireb or West Bay. A free survey lets the SmartRooms Qatar team check table thickness, the cutout size and the cable route before grommets are ordered. That reduces the risk of ordering the wrong size and having to reorder.

Does the grommet need power or network connections?

The source data lists no electrical or connectivity specifications for this grommet, which is a mechanical accessory. Nothing in the product data indicates a power or network requirement. Check the documentation for the mount it is used with for its electrical needs, and confirm the mains supply and sockets in your Qatar building before installing the mount in the room.

Can this grommet be used in hot or sunny rooms in Doha?

The source data does not give an operating temperature range for this grommet, so no temperature rating can be stated. Summer temperatures in Doha can exceed 45°C, and rooms with strong sun through windows are a concern for any equipment. Before installing, confirm the environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team, who can advise whether the location suits this accessory.

How do I reorder this grommet later?

Reorder using the item number 920-00524-20000 and the 10-pack description, so the replacement matches the 16 mm hole size and 7 mm inner diameter of the original. This model is current, not discontinued. Keep a record of the item number with your installation drawings. To get pricing for a repeat order, request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar and reference the item number and the number of packs you need.
