The Biamp Devio MRB-UCX1000T-VBC2800 is a complete bundle for small to medium meeting rooms, combining the Devio UCX 1000 Android meeting room hub for Microsoft Teams Rooms, an Apprimo Touch 10 UCX-T 10-inch tabletop controller and a Parlé VBC2800 conferencing bar with integrated camera, loudspeaker and microphone. It suits boardrooms and huddle spaces in Doha, West Bay and Lusail that want one ordered package. Request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar.

What the bundle includes

The MRB-UCX1000T-VBC2800 combines three components in one order: the Devio UCX 1000 meeting room hub, the Apprimo Touch 10 UCX-T tabletop controller and the Parlé VBC2800 conferencing bar. Together they cover room computing for Microsoft Teams Rooms, audio processing, meeting control and the camera, loudspeaker and microphone. For a buyer, that means specifying one item number rather than matching components from separate lines, and keeping the whole room setup inside one package for a small or medium meeting space.

What the Devio UCX 1000 hub handles

The Devio UCX 1000 is an Android-powered meeting room hub built for Microsoft Teams Rooms. It provides onboard UC compute, professional Biamp DSP for room audio, and support for a single display. Staff can connect their own laptop over USB-C for BYOM (bring your own meeting) and share content from it. Room peripherals are fed from one point through PoE+ and USB, so the installer runs fewer separate power feeds around the room.

Meeting control from the tabletop

The Apprimo Touch 10 UCX-T puts a 10-inch touch controller on the table. Its floating display uses responsive capacitive touch, and proximity wake brings the screen up as someone approaches. The anti-fingerprint coating reduces visible marks from frequent use, and the controller installs with a single cable, which keeps the table surface clear. Participants start and run the meeting from their seats instead of walking to a wall panel.

One bar for camera, loudspeaker and microphone

The Parlé VBC2800 conferencing bar integrates the camera, loudspeaker and microphone into one unit. The room does not need separate peripherals for those functions, which simplifies both setup and cabling. Decide where the bar sits relative to the display and seating during a site survey, because the best position depends on room shape and table layout.

Where it fits in Qatar

Government office in Msheireb: a small internal meeting room for Teams calls with colleagues in other cities, with staff sharing content from their own laptops over USB-C.
Consultancy in West Bay: a medium meeting room for regular calls with teams outside Doha, where the chair runs the meeting from the tabletop controller.
Education City research group: a small seminar or breakout room where students and researchers join sessions with remote participants. Large lecture halls fall outside this bundle.

Planning the installation

Before ordering, map the cable routes between the hub, bar, controller and display, and confirm that the network switch or injector feeding the Devio UCX 1000 provides PoE+. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys, which we recommend for this bundle so mounting heights and cable paths are checked in the room. The manufacturer data for this bundle does not list an operating temperature range, so confirm the room environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installation.

Questions about Devio MRB-UCX1000T-VBC2800

What is the Biamp Devio MRB-UCX1000T-VBC2800?

It is a small-room video conferencing bundle from Biamp that combines the Devio UCX 1000 meeting room hub, the Apprimo Touch 10 UCX-T 10-inch tabletop controller and the Parlé VBC2800 conferencing bar in one order. It is built around Microsoft Teams Rooms and aimed at small to medium meeting rooms. SmartRooms Qatar supplies the complete bundle under item number 930-00015.

Is this bundle suitable for a small meeting room in Al Sadd?

Yes, that is the room size it is designed for. A company office in Al Sadd can place the VBC2800 bar close to the screen, the UCX-T controller on the table and the Devio UCX 1000 hub nearby, so staff start meetings from one table. The display is not one of the three listed components, so choose a screen that suits the room. A site survey will confirm the layout before you order.

Can a West Bay boardroom use it for calls with overseas teams?

It suits medium meeting rooms that hold regular calls with teams outside Doha. The VBC2800 bar captures the room with its built-in camera and microphone, while the UCX-T controller lets the chair start and manage the meeting from the table. Because the bundle targets small to medium rooms, ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm that your table size and seating layout are a good match.

Would it work for a seminar room at a university in Education City?

It suits small seminar rooms, breakout rooms and research group spaces where a team joins sessions with remote participants. The Devio UCX 1000 provides Teams Rooms compute and content sharing over USB-C, and the VBC2800 bar handles camera, loudspeaker and microphone in one unit. A large lecture hall falls outside the small-to-medium room this bundle targets, so ask our team for advice on room size before ordering.

How could a government team in Msheireb use it?

A ministry or authority office in Msheireb can equip a small internal meeting room for Teams calls with colleagues in other cities or government sites. Staff bring a laptop and share content over USB-C, while the tabletop controller handles meeting start and control. Government buyers can place the order through a purchase order or tender, and SmartRooms Qatar will confirm the components, delivery and installation in the quotation.

Would a real estate sales office in Lusail find it useful?

Yes, if the office needs a meeting room that is easy to run and looks tidy in front of clients and partners. The 10-inch floating controller display, proximity wake and single-cable installation keep the table uncluttered, and the bar gives remote guests a camera and clear audio. Request a site survey so the device positions fit the room's furniture and the presentation area.

Does the bundle include a camera, microphone and loudspeaker?

Yes. The Parlé VBC2800 conferencing bar brings an integrated camera, loudspeaker and microphone into one unit, so the room does not need separate peripherals for those functions. Camera resolution, field of view and detailed audio specifications are not listed in the manufacturer data for this bundle, so ask the SmartRooms Qatar team for those details before ordering.

How is the room powered, and what does the network switch need?

Every room peripheral is powered from one point through PoE+ and USB. Before installation, check that the network switch or power injector feeding the Devio UCX 1000 provides PoE+ and that the cable length is within the limits your installer uses. This reduces the number of wall adapters needed, which helps when cabinets and conference tables are tight.

Can it drive two screens or a video wall?

The Devio UCX 1000 is specified for single-display support, so plan for one screen with this bundle. Video walls, dual-display layouts and digital signage need a different setup and fall outside this small-room bundle. If your room relies on two screens, contact SmartRooms Qatar before ordering so the team can advise on a suitable configuration.

What does the Apprimo Touch 10 UCX-T add to the room?

It is a 10-inch tabletop touch controller with a floating display, responsive capacitive touch and proximity wake, so the screen lights up as someone approaches the table. The anti-fingerprint coating reduces visible marks from frequent use, and the controller installs with a single cable. Participants can run the meeting from the table instead of walking to a wall panel.

What should we plan before installation?

Plan cable routes between the hub, bar, controller and display, decide where the tabletop controller sits, and confirm the PoE+ source. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys, which we recommend for this bundle to check mounting heights and cable paths. The manufacturer data does not list an operating temperature range for this bundle, so confirm the installation environment with our team before the install goes ahead.

Can we buy it through an LPO or a government tender?

Yes. SmartRooms Qatar supplies this bundle by quotation, accepts purchase orders (LPOs) and supports government tenders, including those on Monaqasat. Payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. The bundle is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Quotations are usually issued within one working day, and we deliver to all eight municipalities of Qatar.
