What the UCC-UCX2000-T bundle includes

The Biamp UCC-UCX2000-T is a two-part conferencing package sold under item number 930-00012. It combines the Devio UCX 2000 meeting room hub, which runs on Android, with the Apprimo Touch 10 UCX-T tabletop touch controller. Supplying both units as one matched set gives a medium or large meeting room a complete unified communications setup without selecting each device separately.

Devio UCX 2000: compute, audio and connections

The hub provides onboard UC compute built for Microsoft Teams Rooms, so calls are handled inside the room rather than on a separate laptop. Professional Biamp DSP processes room audio. Video arrives through an HDMI input with single-display support, while a USB-C port offers BYOM connection and content sharing for a presenter's own device. The hub also expands the room, with connections for the touch controller, additional room microphones and amplifiers.

Apprimo Touch 10 UCX-T: the tabletop controller

The controller gives the room a 10-inch tabletop touch surface with responsive capacitive touch. A proximity sensor wakes the display as a presenter approaches the table, and an anti-fingerprint coating keeps the glass looking clean through long sessions. It is designed for a single-cable installation, which simplifies the table work and reduces the number of connections to commission on site.

Where the bundle fits in Qatar

Ministry or authority boardroom in Msheireb: a senior team needs one controller at the table and a hub that handles conferencing and audio out of sight.
Regional head office in Lusail: calls with teams abroad, with presenters sharing documents from their laptops over USB-C or HDMI while the room runs Teams Rooms.
Hybrid training room in Education City: a local audience in the room with remote participants joining through the same hub and controller.

Planning the installation

Plan the controller position, the hub location and the cable routes before ordering. Microphone count and amplifier channels should be confirmed against the room layout, because this bundle's data does not list channel counts. The data also does not give an operating temperature range for the bundle. Qatar summers can exceed 45°C, so confirm the room environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team and keep the equipment in an air-conditioned space. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys and professional installation, and the bundle is covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

To receive a quotation for the UCC-UCX2000-T, request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar with your room dimensions, the number of microphones you need and details of your existing display, and our team will confirm the right configuration.

Questions about Devio UCC-UCX2000-T

What is the Biamp UCC-UCX2000-T and what does it include?

The Biamp UCC-UCX2000-T is a bundle of two products sold together: the Devio UCX 2000 Android-powered meeting room hub and the Apprimo Touch 10 UCX-T tabletop touch controller. Together they give a medium or large meeting room a complete unified communications setup under item number 930-00012. The hub handles conferencing and audio, while the controller runs the meeting from the table. SmartRooms Qatar supplies it by quotation.

Which meeting rooms in Qatar suit this bundle?

The bundle is designed for medium and large meeting rooms. In Doha that typically means executive boardrooms, hotel conference rooms in West Bay, and hospital meeting rooms in Al Sadd where several departments share one space. Before ordering, confirm the room size and layout with the SmartRooms Qatar team so the hub, controller and microphone setup match the space.

Does the Devio UCX 2000 run Microsoft Teams Rooms?

Yes. The Devio UCX 2000 provides onboard UC compute for Microsoft Teams Rooms, so calls are handled by the hub inside the room. Confirm your Teams Rooms licensing and tenant setup with your IT team before installation, since those details are not part of this bundle's data and depend on your own Microsoft environment.

How is room audio handled, and how do laptops connect?

Room audio is processed by professional Biamp DSP inside the Devio UCX 2000, so audio routing is managed in one unit. Video comes in through an HDMI input with single-display support. A presenter can connect a laptop through the USB-C port for BYOM and content sharing. Check cable lengths and table positions during the site survey.

Can the system be expanded with more microphones or amplifiers?

Yes. The hub supports the Apprimo Touch 10 UCX-T controller, additional room microphones and amplifiers, so the system can grow with the room. The data for this bundle does not list microphone or amplifier channel counts, so confirm the quantities against your room layout with the SmartRooms Qatar team before requesting a quote.

How does the Apprimo Touch 10 UCX-T work?

The Apprimo Touch 10 UCX-T is a 10-inch tabletop touch controller with responsive capacitive touch. A proximity sensor wakes it as a presenter approaches, and an anti-fingerprint coating helps keep the glass clear during long meetings. It is designed for a clean single-cable installation, which simplifies the table work when the room is fitted out.

Can an energy company in Mesaieed manage several meeting rooms remotely?

The Devio UCX 2000 is integrated into Biamp Workplace, which covers installation, remote monitoring and management alongside other Biamp room devices. A company with several rooms across an industrial site in Mesaieed can oversee its Biamp equipment from one platform instead of visiting each room. Ask the SmartRooms Qatar team how Biamp Workplace would be set up for your sites.

Is this bundle right for a ministry boardroom in Msheireb?

A ministry boardroom in Msheireb usually needs one tabletop controller that senior staff can operate quickly, plus a hub that handles conferencing and audio out of sight. The Apprimo Touch 10 UCX-T puts meeting control at the table, and the Devio UCX 2000 runs Teams Rooms and Biamp DSP audio. Plan the table position and cable routes during a site survey before installation.

Would a regional head office in Lusail use it for calls with teams abroad?

Yes, for a medium or large room. A regional office in Lusail holding calls with teams abroad can use the HDMI input and the USB-C BYOM and content sharing port to bring in presenters and documents, while the Teams Rooms compute on the hub manages the call itself. Confirm the room's display and microphone plan before ordering.

Can a hybrid training room at a university in Education City use it?

A hybrid training room in Education City can use the Devio UCX 2000 to run Teams Rooms sessions with remote participants while a local audience sits in the room. The controller handles call control at the table, and the HDMI input takes the presenter's source. Confirm microphone placement in a survey, since it determines how clearly remote speakers are heard.

Can it be installed in a meeting room in Doha without air conditioning?

Not without checking first. The data for this bundle does not give an operating temperature range, so SmartRooms Qatar cannot confirm suitability for an unconditioned room. Qatar summers can exceed 45°C, so the safe plan is an air-conditioned meeting room. Confirm the environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before requesting a quote.

Does SmartRooms Qatar survey the room before installation?

Yes. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys before installation. For this bundle, the survey checks the hub location, the controller position, cable routes and how the room's HDMI source will connect. Quotations are usually issued within one working day, and installation is carried out professionally by the SmartRooms Qatar team.
