EasyConnect EC-PKP-EU
Biamp EasyConnect EC-PKP-EU Table Cable Cubby
The Biamp EasyConnect EC-PKP-EU is a table cable cubby for meeting rooms, and the manufacturer has discontinued it. It fits inside the table and provides one EU power connector, so presenters can power devices without cables crossing the floor. It carries a 5-year warranty. Owners and buyers in Qatar should request a quote for a current equivalent or compatible replacement.
What the EC-PKP-EU cubby does at the table
The Biamp EasyConnect EC-PKP-EU is a cable cubby installed inside a meeting or conference table. It is used in rooms where there is no power outlet close to the seats, where the supplied cables are too short to reach, or where cables run across the floor and create a trip hazard. Instead of extension leads, the power point sits within the table, so the room layout stays tidy.
Key facts to check on the EC-PKP-EU
- Model: EasyConnect EC-PKP-EU, Biamp item number 910-00121.
- Power: one EU power connector.
- Warranty: 5-year warranty listed in the manufacturer's data.
- Control pad: not listed in this model's specification.
- Status: discontinued by the manufacturer.
Because the EasyConnect range can be configured with or without a control pad, the choice should be made at quote stage rather than assumed. The source data does not list video or audio ports for this model, so it should be specified as a power and cable management unit.
Where it fits in Qatar meeting rooms
Three situations suit this type of cubby:
- A boardroom in West Bay or Msheireb where the conference table was built without a central power point.
- A staff meeting room at a private school in Al Wakrah, where extension leads currently cross the floor.
- A hotel conference room in Lusail or The Pearl, refitted for client meetings and needing a tidy, floor-free layout.
In each case the cubby solves a specific layout problem: power is needed at the seat, and cables must stay out of walkways. Because it supplies one connector, it suits tables where one central power point is enough.
Planning a replacement or retrofit
Because the EC-PKP-EU is discontinued, most buyers in Qatar will be replacing an existing unit or choosing a current alternative. Start by listing each table, its seat count, the devices that need power at the table and whether a control pad is required. These details let SmartRooms Qatar recommend a compatible current model rather than guess.
The cubby is fitted into the table, so a site survey comes first. SmartRooms Qatar provides free site surveys and professional installation, allowing the team to check table construction, the space beneath it and the route for the power cable before any work starts.
Electrical compatibility and operating environment
Qatar's mains supply is 240 V, 50 Hz, with BS 1363 (Type G) sockets. The EC-PKP-EU has an EU power connector, which is a different plug standard, so confirm how it will connect to the local supply before ordering. The source data does not state an operating temperature range or an installation environment rating, so confirm the intended room conditions with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installation.
