EasyConnect EC-PKP-UNI

What the EasyConnect EC-PKP-UNI is

The Biamp EasyConnect EC-PKP-UNI is a cable cubby that installs into a meeting table. It houses a single universal power connector, giving people seated at the table a power point where none would otherwise be convenient. Biamp lists it under item number 910-00123 in the video conferencing category, within its table connectivity and AV switcher range.

The unit addresses a common problem in conference rooms: cables that are missing, too short, or running from a wall outlet across the carpet. Routing those connections through the table keeps the floor clear and gives the room a tidier appearance during presentations and video calls.

The facts that matter when you specify it

• Form: table-mounted cable cubby for conference and meeting room tables
• Power: one universal power connector
• Configuration: the EasyConnect series can be ordered with different power options, with or without control pads
• Warranty: five-year warranty listed in the manufacturer data
• Status: discontinued by Biamp

Because the manufacturer has discontinued this model, the EC-PKP-UNI should be treated as a product for existing installations and replacement planning. Before ordering, confirm the exact configuration and any accessories against the product documentation with the SmartRooms Qatar team.

Where it fits in Qatar meeting rooms

A boardroom in an office tower in West Bay is a typical case. Executives bring laptops to meetings that connect Doha with teams in other countries, and a table with a dedicated power point lets a presenter connect without moving a chair or stretching a cable across the room.

In a government ministry meeting room in Msheireb, a long table hosting delegations benefits from clean cable routing. Cables kept inside the table reduce trip hazards for visitors and make the room easier to reset between sessions.

A seminar room at a university in Education City with fixed tables, where students and lecturers share a limited number of power sources, can use one cubby at the presenter position. Staff setting up the room can then route the connection the same way each time.

What to plan for before replacing or fitting it

Cable cubbies are fitted into the table itself, so the cutout and the position of the cubby should be planned before work starts. Book a free site survey with SmartRooms Qatar so the table, the nearest service route and the existing cabling can be checked before anything is cut. The source data does not list dimensions or electrical ratings for this model, so confirm those figures with the team rather than assuming them. Ask about the operating environment too: if the table sits near a window or in a hot space, check the conditions against the manufacturer documentation before you commit.

When you order several units for a school or government office, a single LPO can cover the full quantity, and quotations are usually issued within one working day. Request a quote for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement, and send the table details with your request.
