Overview
The Biamp EasyConnect MPX TA 203x260 is a table adapter that lets an EasyConnect MPX 200 or MPX 250 sit in an oversized table cutout measuring 8.0 by 10.24 inches. It covers openings up to 7 by 9.3 inches, includes top and bottom plates, and has a paintable black finish. It suits boardrooms in Doha, Lusail and Education City being upgraded. Request a quote to confirm fit.
Fitting an EasyConnect MPX into an existing oversized cutout
The Biamp EasyConnect MPX TA 203x260 is a table adapter rather than a conferencing unit. Its job is to let an EasyConnect MPX 200 or MPX 250 sit neatly in a table opening that is larger than the unit's own footprint, so a room can be upgraded without carpentry. One top adapter plate and one bottom adapter plate are supplied. The adapter is sold separately from the MPX units it accommodates, so the MPX model must be ordered alongside it.
Dimensions and the opening range to check first
The adapter measures 8.0 inches (203 mm) wide and 10.24 inches (260 mm) high. The stated maximum opening coverage is 7 x 9.3 inches (179 x 236 mm), so the existing cutout should fall within that range. Measure the opening before you request a quote and send the figures with your request, so the dimensions can be checked against your table and the MPX unit you plan to use.
- Adapter size: 8.0 x 10.24 inches (203 x 260 mm)
- Maximum opening coverage: 7 x 9.3 inches (179 x 236 mm)
- Supplied with one top and one bottom adapter plate
- Black finish, paintable to suit table surfaces
Where it fits in Qatar
Ministry boardrooms in West Bay. Government offices often keep executive tables that are costly to replace or difficult to recut. Fitting the MPX into an existing opening lets the furniture stay in use while the room gains a conferencing setup for meetings that run in Arabic and English and connect Doha with teams abroad.
Meeting and collaboration rooms in Education City. Research groups and faculty teams often share rooms with tables built around older equipment. Where an opening already exists, the adapter allows an upgrade with less disruption than recutting a table.
Meeting suites in Lusail hotels. Operators refreshing a conference room between bookings can keep the current furniture and change only the conferencing hardware, so the room still matches the rest of the property.
Planning the retrofit before you order
Confirm the table thickness and the cutout position with whoever manages the furniture, because both plates must sit correctly on the table. The finish ships black and is paintable, so if the table surface is a different colour, the adapter can be painted to blend in. Check paint suitability for both the adapter and the table surface first. Specify the MPX 200 or MPX 250 in your quotation so both parts arrive for the same project.
SmartRooms Qatar supplies the adapter with delivery to all eight municipalities of Qatar, professional installation, and a free site survey for meeting rooms. Products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Request a quote with your table dimensions, the room location and the MPX model, and our team will usually return a quotation within one working day.

What is the Biamp EasyConnect MPX TA 203x260 used for?
It is a table adapter that lets an EasyConnect MPX 200 or MPX 250 be installed into an oversized table cutout without cutting or replacing the furniture. It suits meeting and conference rooms where the table is already in place and should stay. The adapter does not work alone, because the MPX unit is sold separately. Its top and bottom plates measure 8.0 inches wide and 10.24 inches high.
Which EasyConnect models does this adapter fit?
The adapter is designed for the EasyConnect MPX 200 and the EasyConnect MPX 250. Both units are sold separately, so the adapter is not a complete system on its own. If you already own one of these models and need to fit it into a larger opening, this adapter is the part to request. Tell us the model when you request a quote, and our team will confirm the pairing before ordering.
What size opening can the adapter cover?
The maximum opening coverage is 7 x 9.3 inches (179 x 236 mm), while the adapter itself measures 8.0 by 10.24 inches (203 x 260 mm). Measure the existing cutout before ordering. If it is larger than a standard opening but within that range, the adapter is designed for it. Send your measurements with the quote request so the dimensions can be checked against your table.
What comes in the box?
Each adapter includes one top adapter plate and one bottom adapter plate. The EasyConnect MPX 200 or MPX 250 unit is not included and must be ordered separately. The product data does not list any further fixings, so ask our team to confirm what your installer will need alongside the plates when you request a quote. That keeps the installation planned around a complete set of parts.
What finish does it come in, and can it be painted?
It ships in black and is paintable, so it can be finished to match a table surface. For a ministry boardroom with a light or wooden top, painting the adapter can help it blend in. Check that the paint suits both the adapter and the table surface before painting, and ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm the approach for your specific table when you request a quote.
Is this adapter suitable for a hotel meeting room in Lusail?
Yes, provided the existing table cutout falls within the 7 x 9.3 inch coverage range. Hotel and serviced apartment operators in Lusail can refresh a meeting room between bookings and keep the furniture already in place, so the room matches the rest of the property. Name Lusail as the site in your request so delivery and installation can be planned for that location.
Does it suit university meeting rooms in Education City?
It suits meeting and collaboration rooms where tables already have older openings, such as research group rooms in Education City. Before ordering, confirm the cutout sits within 7 x 9.3 inches and that the table can take the top and bottom plates. Then add the matching MPX 200 or MPX 250 to the same order so the adapter and unit arrive together for one room upgrade.
How should a government office in West Bay order this adapter?
Government offices in West Bay often buy through purchase orders and formal tenders. SmartRooms Qatar accepts purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including Monaqasat. Send the cutout measurements, the MPX model you intend to use and the room location, then request a quote that lists the adapter and the unit together as one package for approval. That keeps the procurement file simple.
What should I check before fitting the adapter into a cutout?
Start by measuring the width and height of the opening and comparing them with the maximum of 7 x 9.3 inches (179 x 236 mm). Then check the table thickness and the cutout position with whoever manages the furniture, because both plates need to sit correctly. Finally, confirm the MPX 200 or MPX 250 you plan to use, and include photos and measurements in your quote request.
Does the adapter need its own power or network connection?
The product data does not list electrical or network requirements for the adapter itself. Requirements for the EasyConnect MPX 200 or MPX 250 unit should be confirmed before installation. Ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm the connection needs of the unit you choose, including where its cabling will run beneath your table, so the room layout is settled before the installation visit.
What warranty covers the adapter?
Products supplied by SmartRooms Qatar are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The product data we hold does not state a warranty duration or terms, so ask for the warranty conditions that apply to your order when you request a quote. Having them in writing alongside the quotation helps procurement teams and facilities managers keep records complete.
Can SmartRooms Qatar deliver the adapter outside Doha?
Yes. SmartRooms Qatar delivers to all eight municipalities of Qatar, so a site in Al Khor, Al Wakrah or elsewhere can be quoted in the same way as a Doha office. Give the delivery address and any building access details in your request. Delivery timing is an estimate based on stock and is confirmed with the quotation.
