The Biamp MRB-L-X1600-BMA360DI-CIC6 is a pre-matched set of audio hardware for rooms too large for a single ceiling speaker or a desk microphone. At its centre is the TesiraFORTÉ X 1600 digital signal processor, which handles echo control and audio routing for the whole room. Alongside it you receive a BMA 360D-I ceiling microphone array, four Desono C-IC6 ceiling loudspeakers, an EasyConnect POE-90W injector and a cable kit.

The bundle is designed around standard suspended ceilings. The microphone array is a 600 mm ceiling tile unit intended for 600 mm x 600 mm grid positions, and the C-IC6 loudspeakers are low-profile units that sit discreetly in the ceiling plane.

Voice pickup and processing for large rooms

Beamforming is what keeps participants audible at the far end of a long table. The BMA 360D-I uses ultra-wideband, frequency-invariant beamforming and can form up to 12 configurable beams, so coverage follows the seating plan rather than a fixed pattern. Each beam is available as an individual Dante channel, alongside a smart-switched mix of active talkers, so the DSP can process every feed separately.

The TesiraFORTÉ X 1600 provides sixteen channels of acoustic echo cancellation. This matters when loudspeakers and microphones share the same room, because it prevents far-end voices from feeding back into the call. Biamp Launch supports automatic device discovery and room tuning, which helps the installer bring the room into service more quickly.

Power and cabling in one package

The EasyConnect POE-90W injector supplies the 90W of PoE++ power needed to run both the microphone array and the four loudspeakers from a single unit. The kit includes plenum-rated CAT5e cable in three lengths: one 25 ft (7.5 m) run, four 10 ft (3 m) runs and one 3 ft (1 m) run. Because these lengths are fixed, measure the distance from the equipment rack to each ceiling position before ordering.
