MRB-M-SCX400-C

What this Biamp bundle contains

The MRB-M-SCX400-C is a ceiling audio kit for medium meeting rooms, supplied as one matched set rather than as separate parts to source and tune. At its centre is a Devio SCX400 conference room hub. Around it sit a Parlé TCM-XA white ceiling microphone with amplifier, two Desono C-IC6 white ceiling loudspeakers, pre-terminated plenum-rated Cat 5e cabling in two lengths, and a BPAK mounting kit.

The cabling comprises two cables of 25 feet (7.5 m) and three cables of 10 feet (3 m). The single-cable connection scheme is designed to reduce the number of connections an installer must make in the ceiling.

How the audio performs in a real meeting

Beamtracking microphone technology locates the active talker and mixes that voice into the call, so remote attendees stay clear to hear even when someone moves to the screen or the whiteboard. Custom acoustic echo cancellation removes the feedback path between the room loudspeakers and the far-end microphone, which keeps remote conversations free of echo. The loudspeakers are voice-tuned to deliver clarity and tonal accuracy for speech.

Where it fits in Qatar

A typical case is a boardroom in West Bay where an executive team of up to 11 people meets directors abroad over Microsoft Teams. Ceiling-mounted microphones and speakers leave the table clear for laptops and documents. In Msheireb, a government department meeting room hosting weekly reviews with colleagues on video links can benefit from a kit built from a known set of components. At Education City, a research group seminar room that alternates between in-person and remote presenters can use the same bundle, provided the room size and layout suit the 11-person guidance.

What to plan before installation

Ceiling audio depends heavily on the room. Plan access to the ceiling void, the cable route from the hub position to each microphone and loudspeaker, and the hub location itself. SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey, which we recommend for any room where ceiling tiles, risers or existing AV cabling could affect placement. Confirm that the video system or meeting platform you plan to use is on the compatible list before ordering. The specification does not give an operating temperature range for this bundle, so please confirm the environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installing it in a space that runs hot, such as a room with limited cooling.

Quotations are usually issued within one working day. We accept purchase orders (LPOs), government tenders including Monaqasat, and payment by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Request a quote for the MRB-M-SCX400-C and send us your room dimensions, seating capacity and meeting platform.
