Overview

The Biamp MRB-VBC 2500a-TSC2DIP-Z is a Zoom Rooms meeting bundle pairing a Parlé VBC 2500a video bar with a UCC-Lenovo ThinkSmart compute and controller. The bar has a 27-microphone array, Beamtracking, AI noise reduction and a wide-angle 4K camera with auto framing. It suits small and medium conference rooms in Doha, from government meeting rooms in West Bay to university seminar rooms in Education City.

What this bundle includes

The MRB-VBC 2500a-TSC2DIP-Z is a complete meeting room kit sold under item number 930-00031. It pairs the Parlé VBC 2500a, an all-in-one conferencing bar, with the Biamp UCC-Lenovo ThinkSmart compute and controller. The compute unit is certified for Zoom Rooms and pre-loaded with it, running Windows 11 IoT Enterprise GAC 64 on an 11th Gen Intel Core vPro i5 processor. The controller has a 10.1-inch screen at 1280 x 800 resolution.

The kit offers table, wall and display mount options, with integrated cable management and VESA mounts, so installers have more than one way to position the components in a room.

Audio designed for conversations across the table

The bar uses a 27-microphone array and Biamp Beamtracking to follow active speakers and mix conversations from across the room. Integrated acoustic echo cancellation and AI noise reduction work together to keep speech clear when several people talk at once or when background noise is present. Speaker output is shaped by distortion compensation and dynamic bass boost, so people at the far end of a long table can follow the discussion without strain.

Biamp Launch analyses the acoustic performance of the room and optimises it at the touch of a button. For an organisation fitting out several rooms with the same bundle, this helps each room deliver a consistent result without a specialist tuning it by hand every time.

Camera, privacy and everyday controls

The wide-angle 4K camera streams up to 2160p at 30fps. Auto framing identifies participants and adjusts focus and zoom to keep them in view. Electronic pan, tilt and zoom with 5x zoom adds control for the operator, and an automatic privacy shutter is included. LED indications show mute status and camera activity, while IR sensors detect presence and switch the system on or off.

An HDMI-in port lets a presenter share a laptop screen, and a discrete output supports Assistive Listening Systems. A Biamp plug-in enables room control from the ThinkSmart controller inside the native Zoom Rooms interface, and the system integrates with Biamp Impera room control for more advanced control.

Where it fits in Qatar

A government ministry meeting room in West Bay, where a department meets colleagues in other cities or abroad and needs clear speech and a presentation-ready screen.
A university training room in Education City, where a lecturer shares slides from a laptop while remote guest speakers join through the camera and microphones.
A real estate developer's project office in Lusail, where a sales team reviews plans with a client on a video call from a small room.

What to plan before ordering

Choose the mounting style first, because the position of the bar and controller determines how cables run. Plan the Ethernet route to the Link Box early, since the system is powered via an RJ-45 Ethernet cable from that box. Confirm the room environment and power arrangement during a site survey. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys, and we recommend one before any wall mounting. The bundle carries a 3-year warranty.

Questions about MRB-VBC 2500a-TSC2DIP-Z

What is the Biamp MRB-VBC 2500a-TSC2DIP-Z?

It is a Zoom Rooms meeting room bundle, item number 930-00031, that combines the Parlé VBC 2500a conferencing bar with the Biamp UCC-Lenovo ThinkSmart compute and controller. The bar handles the camera, microphones and speakers, while the compute unit comes pre-loaded with Zoom Rooms. Because the parts are supplied as one bundle, a small or medium room gets a single matched kit to plan and install.

What room size is this bundle designed for?

The bundle is built for small and medium conference rooms. In Qatar that usually means a boardroom or huddle room in West Bay or Lusail, where a team sits around one table and some participants join from other cities or abroad. Larger halls and lecture theatres need a different system, and the SmartRooms Qatar team can confirm the fit once they have the room layout and seating plan.

Do I need a separate computer to run Zoom Rooms?

No. The UC compute is certified for Zoom Rooms and pre-loaded with it. It runs Windows 11 IoT Enterprise GAC 64 on an 11th Gen Intel Core vPro i5 processor. The ThinkSmart controller has a 10.1-inch screen at 1280 x 800 resolution, so the room's main computing and control hardware is supplied together in one package.

How does the bar handle people speaking over each other around a large table?

The bar uses a 27-microphone array with Biamp Beamtracking, which follows active speakers and mixes conversations from across the room. Integrated acoustic echo cancellation and AI noise reduction help keep speech clear when people talk at once or when background noise is present. In a hospital administration meeting in Al Sadd or a ministry review in West Bay, this helps remote colleagues follow the discussion without repeated requests to speak up.

What does Biamp Launch do?

Biamp Launch analyses the acoustic performance of the room and optimises it at the touch of a button. This matters for organisations fitting out several rooms with the same bundle, such as a company with meeting rooms in Doha and Al Wakrah, because each room can be tuned consistently without a specialist adjusting it by hand each time.

Will the camera follow people as they move?

The wide-angle 4K camera streams up to 2160p at 30fps. Auto framing identifies participants and adjusts focus and zoom to keep them in view. The camera also offers electronic pan, tilt and zoom with 5x zoom, and an automatic privacy shutter is included. This helps when attendance changes from one meeting to the next, such as at a training session in Education City.

Can it work with our existing room control system?

A Biamp plug-in enables room control from the ThinkSmart controller inside the native Zoom Rooms interface. The system also integrates with Biamp Impera room control for advanced control capabilities. If your organisation runs a different control platform across its branches, ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm compatibility before you issue a purchase order.

Can it be wall-mounted or placed on a display?

Yes. The kit includes table, wall and display mount options, plus integrated cable management and VESA mounts. Before fixing anything to a wall in a Lusail office or a government building, book a free site survey with SmartRooms Qatar to check mounting height, cable routes and wall construction, so the installation is planned rather than improvised.

What does it need for power and cabling?

The system is powered via an RJ-45 Ethernet cable from the Link Box, so plan the Ethernet route to that box early. The source data does not list other power requirements, so confirm the power arrangement and the Link Box location during the site survey before the equipment is ordered.

Can a presenter share a laptop screen?

Yes. The HDMI-in port allows screen sharing from a laptop. In a training room at Education City, a lecturer can connect a laptop, present slides to the room, and let remote guest speakers join through the camera and microphones. Plan an HDMI cable route to the presenter's table or to the lectern before installation.

Does it support assistive listening for participants with hearing needs?

It includes a discrete output for Assistive Listening Systems, so a compatible receiver system can be connected alongside the conferencing audio. This suits public service counters, ministry meeting rooms and hospital administration offices where participants may need hearing support. Confirm the specific assistive listening device with the SmartRooms Qatar team before ordering, as the source data does not name compatible devices.

Can we buy it through a purchase order or a government tender?

Yes. SmartRooms Qatar works with purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including Monaqasat. Payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Quotations are usually issued within one working day, delivery covers all eight municipalities of Qatar, and the product carries the manufacturer's 3-year warranty.
