Power, cabling and expansion

The plenum box is powered by PoE to IEEE 802.3at Class 3 at 15.4 W, so the switch port it connects to must supply that standard. One RJ-45 cable runs from the switch to the plenum box over distances up to 100 metres. The microphone head connects to the plenum box through a 2-pin 3.5 mm Phoenix connector on a 3-metre cable. For larger rooms, up to two TCM-1EX microphones can be daisy-chained with a maximum of 10 metres between plenum boxes. The plenum box LEDs show status in green, yellow or red, and the microphone mute LED shows green or red.
