Overview

The Biamp Parlé TCM-X-FM Black is a flush-mount kit that lets TCM-X, TCM-XA and TCM-XEX black ceiling microphones sit level with the ceiling rather than hanging below it. It includes an optional spacer for recessed installs, carries TAA compliance and a 5-year warranty, and suits meeting rooms and boardrooms across Qatar where a clean ceiling matters.

A flush-mount kit for black Parlé ceiling microphones

The Biamp Parlé TCM-X-FM Black is a mounting kit rather than a microphone. It is made for the black versions of the Parlé TCM-X, TCM-XA and TCM-XEX ceiling microphones, so each unit sits level with the ceiling instead of hanging below it. Rooms that use white microphones need the separate white kit, item 920-10116-20000, so confirm the colour of your existing units before ordering.

What the kit adds to a meeting room

A microphone hanging below the ceiling is visible and can get in the way of fittings and furniture. Recessed mounting keeps the device at ceiling level, which gives the room a cleaner look during formal sessions. The key details are:

Compatible models: black Parlé TCM-X, TCM-XA and TCM-XEX microphones.
Spacer: an optional spacer is included for recessed installs.
Warranty: 5-year manufacturer warranty.
Compliance: TAA compliant.
Item number: 920-10116-10000.

Where it fits in Qatar

A boardroom in West Bay or Lusail that runs executive meetings with teams abroad is a strong match. Ceiling microphones keep the table and room free of visible hardware, which matters in a formal setting where Arabic and English discussions run side by side.

A government ministry meeting room in Msheireb, where the ceiling is part of the formal look of the space, can use the same approach. A recessed kit helps the room stay consistent with its design, and a tender specification may call for TAA-compliant items.

A multipurpose hall or staff meeting room at a school in Al Wakrah is another option, particularly where the school wants a tidy ceiling in a space used for assemblies and parent meetings.

What to plan before you order

Confirm the microphone model and colour first, because this kit only fits the listed black models. Next, check the ceiling construction and the space above it with your installer, since recessed mounting depends on both. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys, which is a practical step in an occupied building in Doha where access to a ceiling is limited.

The source data does not give an operating temperature range for this kit. If you plan to install it in a space that is not air-conditioned, or in an area exposed to heat, confirm suitability with the SmartRooms Qatar team before ordering. Professional installation is available, and products are delivered to all eight municipalities of Qatar.

Purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including Monaqasat, are accepted, and payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order.

Questions about Parlé TCM-X-FM

Which microphones does the Biamp Parlé TCM-X-FM Black fit?

It is designed for the black versions of the Parlé TCM-X, TCM-XA and TCM-XEX ceiling microphones. It is not intended for white units, which need the separate white kit, item 920-10116-20000. Check the model name and colour on your existing microphones before ordering, so the kit matches the units you plan to install.

Does the kit include the microphone?

No. The Parlé TCM-X-FM Black is a flush-mount kit for ceiling installation. The source data lists an optional spacer included for recessed mounting and does not list a microphone as part of the package. If you need microphones as well, say so in your quote request so the order matches your room plan.

What is the spacer used for?

The spacer is included with the kit and is intended for recessed mounting, which sets the microphone into the ceiling rather than fixing it to the surface. Your installer will decide whether the spacer is needed for your ceiling construction, so a site survey before ordering helps avoid a mismatch.

Is it suitable for a boardroom in West Bay or Lusail?

Yes, if the room uses black TCM-X, TCM-XA or TCM-XEX microphones and the team wants a tidy ceiling. A boardroom with a central table, an executive display and regular video calls with teams abroad is a typical use. Ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm the rest of the conferencing set-up when you request a quote.

How long is the warranty?

The source data lists a 5-year warranty from the manufacturer for this kit. Products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, and the SmartRooms Qatar team can confirm the warranty details that apply to the item number you choose when you receive your quotation. Keep your purchase documents with your ceiling installation records.

Our ministry is tendering for meeting-room AV. Is the kit TAA compliant?

Yes. The source data lists this kit as TAA compliant under certified solutions. If your tender specifies TAA compliance, state item number 920-10116-10000 and the microphone model in your request so the quotation can be checked against the specification. SmartRooms Qatar accepts government tenders, including Monaqasat.

Can I install it in an unconditioned covered area in summer?

The source data does not give an operating temperature range for this kit, so suitability for unconditioned or outdoor-facing spaces cannot be confirmed from the product data. With Qatar summers being very hot, confirm the installation environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before ordering, particularly for halls, terraces or any space that is not air-conditioned.

Would it suit a school hall in Al Wakrah?

It can suit a staff meeting room or a multipurpose hall where the school wants a tidy ceiling and the microphones are one of the black TCM-X, TCM-XA or TCM-XEX models. Classrooms have different audio needs, so confirm the room use with the SmartRooms Qatar team before deciding on the number of units and mounting positions.

What should I check before the installer arrives?

Confirm the microphone model and colour, the ceiling construction, and whether the recessed spacer is needed. Check access to the space above the ceiling as well. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys, which help in occupied offices in Doha where access to a ceiling void is limited. Professional installation is available.

Can we pay with a purchase order (LPO)?

Yes. SmartRooms Qatar accepts purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders. Payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Quote item number 920-10116-10000 and the microphone model on the LPO so the order matches the quotation exactly, which helps when a finance team checks the purchase against an approved specification.

What is the difference between 920-10116-10000 and 920-10116-20000?

Item 920-10116-10000 is the black version, for black TCM-X, TCM-XA and TCM-XEX microphones. Item 920-10116-20000 is the white version of the same flush-mount range, for white microphones. Both are listed with the same primary application, meeting and conference AV, so the colour of your microphones decides which item you need.

Is it suitable for a meeting room in a hospital or clinic in Doha?

It can suit an administration or conference room in a hospital or clinic, provided the microphones are one of the listed black models and the room is suitable for ceiling installation. The source data does not cover clinical areas, so the kit is not proposed for them. Discuss the room type and environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team when you request a quote.
