The Biamp Parlé VBC 2800 is a conferencing video bar that brings a 27-element digital microphone array and a dual-camera system into one unit. It is aimed at rooms where people sit far from the display and remote participants need to hear and see everyone clearly. The bar measures 37 inches (940 mm) wide, 3.9 inches (100 mm) high and 2.5 inches (64 mm) deep, and weighs 9.6 lbs (4.4 kg).

Audio that follows the people in the room

Beamtracking follows several talkers as they move around, so participants do not need to sit at a fixed point to be heard. Pickup extends beyond 23 feet (7 m) at a 25 dBA noise floor. Acoustic echo cancellation and AI noise reduction are built in, which helps far-end participants hear speech rather than background noise. Two 2.5-inch (60 mm) full-range transducers provide the output, with a nominal beamwidth of 180° x 180°.

Two cameras, auto-framing and privacy control

The camera system pairs a 50 MP sensor with an 8 MP module and supports 720p, 1080p and 2160p at 30 fps. The ultrawide lens has a 150° diagonal field of view, and the system offers up to 16x digital zoom with electronic pan, tilt and zoom. Intelligent auto-framing switches between views so the far end sees the most suitable shot. An automated privacy shutter covers the lenses, and a white LED shows when the camera is active.

Setup, connectivity and room tuning

Biamp Launch tunes the audio input and output to the acoustics of each room with a single button press, which helps keep results consistent across several rooms. A single USB 3.0 Type-C cable connects the bar to a UC system or a BYOM hub workflow, and 802.1X support adds network authentication for IT teams. An analog audio input (3.5mm mono unbalanced) and an assistive listening output (3.5mm mono balanced) add flexibility. The bar is certified for Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
