The Biamp Tesira HD-1 is a hardware dialer for Tesira audio DSPs. It puts a conventional 12-key dial pad in front of the user, supported by 13 dedicated buttons and four context (soft) buttons. Users can dial, redial, adjust call volume, mute and hold, and the familiar layout keeps the learning curve short for anyone used to a desk phone.

The 2.7-inch LCD gives call and control feedback on the device itself. Up to 100 speed dial numbers can be stored, and each entry can be edited on the phone or in Tesira Design Software. The HD-1 also passes privacy mute status to other devices in the system, so the mute state stays consistent across connected equipment.

Power and cabling for a single-cable installation

The HD-1 is powered over Ethernet under IEEE 802.3at Class 1, drawing 4 watts, so one RJ-45 connection carries both control data and power. It accepts CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6 or CAT7 cable, and the data and control cable can run up to 330 ft (100 m). Check that the switch port or PoE injector you plan to use meets 802.3at Class 1 before installation. The unit also includes an internal universal power supply.
