UCC-Lenovo TSC2-IP-Zoom

What this discontinued Zoom Rooms unit is

The Biamp UCC-Lenovo TSC2-IP-Zoom is a UC compute unit that runs Zoom Rooms in a meeting space. Biamp has discontinued this model, and the manufacturer names the UCC-Lenovo TSC2D-IP-ZOOM as its replacement. This page serves three groups: organisations that already run the TSC2-IP-Zoom and need to maintain or extend a room, buyers comparing it with newer units, and anyone searching for an equivalent for a Zoom room in Qatar.

Processing, software and display controller

An 11th Gen Intel Core vPro i5 processor with an integrated NPU provides the compute for video calls, content sharing and audio processing. The Zoom Rooms interface arrives pre-loaded and certified for Zoom, so the room can go live without building the software environment from scratch. The included 10.1-inch touch controller, at a 1280 × 800 resolution, handles in-room navigation.

• Power and cabling: one CAT5e cable carries both PoE power and the network connection, which reduces the cabling a room needs.
• Biamp integration: it connects with Impera room control for unified management of displays, audio, lighting and connected equipment.
• Certification: it is Zoom Room Certified and carries UL and CE certification.

Matching it to the room

Biamp pairs this unit with Parlé conferencing bars for huddle, small and medium rooms, and with Tesira-based conferencing bundles, including TesiraFORTÉ X systems, for larger or acoustically complex spaces. Three situations in Qatar show how this plays out:

• A government ministry in Msheireb converting a boardroom that hosts meetings with colleagues in other cities, where a Tesira-based bundle handles the room audio.
• A growing firm in Lusail equipping a huddle room with a Parlé bar, where the team switches between Zoom calls and other conferencing platforms by connecting personal devices.
• A hospital administration office in Al Khor setting up a room for remote meetings with specialists, where the single-cable installation keeps desk and wall work simple.

What to plan before you order

Check that the network port feeding the unit provides PoE, because the single-cable design depends on it. The source data does not state the power draw, so ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm it against your switch when you request the quotation. The source also gives no operating temperature range. Confirm the room environment before installing the unit in any space that is not air-conditioned, which matters in Qatar during summer when temperatures exceed 45°C.

Confirm which room control platform the space uses, and verify the integration path with Impera before ordering if you rely on it. A free site survey lets the team review the room layout, cable route and mounting location before work begins, and professional installation is available. Organisations ordering several units can raise a purchase order (LPO), and government tenders, including Monaqasat, are supported.

Request a quote

Because this model is discontinued, the most useful quotation is for a current equivalent or the compatible replacement. Send your room list, the Biamp equipment already installed and the room sizes, and the SmartRooms Qatar team will reply with a quotation, usually within one working day.
