SP3022

What the SP3022 is built to do

The Dell Pro Desktop Speakerphone SP3022 is a wired speakerphone designed for a desk or a small table of participants. It is Microsoft Teams-certified and also works with Zoom, Cisco Webex, Google Hangouts, GoTo Meeting, Skype for Business, Slack, Apple FaceTime and Verizon BlueJeans, so one unit can cover several platforms. Dedicated buttons on the unit let users answer, call, end and reject calls, adjust volume and open Teams, so a call can be managed without switching windows on the computer.

Audio and noise control that matter in a meeting

Speech quality depends on three things: how well the device removes unwanted sound, how it handles two people talking at once, and how clearly it plays the other side. The SP3022 covers each of these in its specification:

• AI noise cancellation and active noise cancelling, both listed as supported, filter background sound from the room.
• Full duplex audio lets participants speak at the same time, with echo cancellation and digital signal processing managing the return path.
• Stereo output from left and right speakers, rated at a 90 dB sound pressure level with a 90Hz to 20,000Hz speaker response.
• An omni-directional microphone with a 120Hz to 7kHz response picks up speech from around the unit rather than from a single direction.

Where it fits across Qatar

In a West Bay office, an executive desk speakerphone can carry calls with a regional head office in another time zone, and the Teams button and full duplex audio keep both sides easy to follow. In Msheireb, a government office where teams join calls from several departments in one morning can equip a single desk without fitting out a full room. In Education City, a researcher or administrator running remote interviews and supervisory meetings gets a compact device that leaves space for a laptop and papers. In a Lusail shared workspace where desks change users daily, the USB connection and plug and play support make setup quick.

What to plan for before ordering

The unit measures 226 mm long, 71 mm wide and 58.3 mm high, and weighs 327 g, so it takes little desk space. Its 850 mm USB-A to USB-C adapter cable reaches most desks, and built-in cable storage keeps the spare length out of the way. It supports Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit). The manufacturer data does not give an operating temperature range, so confirm the room conditions with the SmartRooms Qatar team before placing it near a window with direct sun or in a space without air conditioning, especially with summer temperatures above 45°C. For schools, ministries or companies equipping several rooms, one purchase order (LPO) can cover multiple units delivered to all eight municipalities of Qatar.
