UC-BAR30-1

One unit for camera, microphones and speaker

The UC-BAR30-1 replaces the separate webcam, speakerphone and microphone that a small room would otherwise need. Its 4K UHD camera offers a 116° diagonal field of view, enough to cover a table of participants from a single wall or desk position. Output options run from 3840 x 2160 at 30 fps down to 1280 x 720, so the same unit suits both high-resolution displays and older screens.

Framing, zoom and gesture control

AI auto framing keeps the image on whoever is speaking, and the camera follows people who move around the room. Participants can also start or stop tracking and adjust zoom with hand gestures, which is useful for a presenter standing away from the desk. The 16x on-screen zoom is effective at 5x at 1080p and 2x at 4K, so buyers should plan for the zoom they actually need at the resolution they use. A physical privacy shutter covers the lens when the room is not in use.

Audio pickup and what it means for room size

The four-microphone array has a voice pickup radius of 0 to 8 metres and a sensitivity of -26dBV, with a signal-to-noise ratio of 65.5dB. Full duplex audio allows both ends of a call to speak at once. The integrated speaker is rated at 5W, with a frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz and a maximum sound pressure level of 74±3dB at 1W/0.5M. That suits rooms where the furthest participant sits within about 8 metres of the unit, and a mute button on the device gives quick control of the microphones.

Where it fits in Qatar

• Huddle room in a Doha office: a four to six person room in West Bay or Msheireb, where a single unit mounted on the display saves desk space.
• Classroom or seminar room in Education City: a small teaching room where lecturers want to move around while remote students follow the lesson.
• Sales or project office in Lusail or The Pearl: a compact meeting space where teams in Doha connect with colleagues abroad.

What to plan before ordering

The unit measures 400.5 x 92.8 x 81.2 mm and weighs 0.96 kg without its box, so it is light enough for a monitor, a desk or a wall mount, and a wall mount is included. Tilt is adjustable up to 15°. Check the room layout, the distance to the furthest seat and the position of the display before fixing it. Windows and lobbies in Qatar are exposed to strong sun and dust, so confirm the environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before placing the unit near glass. Power draw is 5W typical.
